What a wonderful house to rent while we played in the sand down in Florence Oregon. This house was very well taken care of and uniquely laid out. My wife absolutely loved it and we were able to relax in comfort. The owners of this home are very prompt in communication and will give you all you need to enjoy your time away from home. Thank you and we look forward to staying here again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This house is amazing! It was clean, light, open and airy. My family and I stayed here for a week and absolutely loved it! Our 17 year old (who is a pretty hard sale) fell in love with it. Several of my siblings and their families stayed in homes nearby for a family reunion. One of the homes they stayed in was dirty and both the other homes were dark, and well worn. For about the same price, we enjoyed this beautiful home. The view from every window upstairs is like looking at a postcard. I especially loved the master bedroom. There is a skylight above the beautiful bathtub, so you can lay relaxing in the tub and look up at the sky. The kitchen has everything you need. I highly recommend it!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Wonderful! We LOVED our time along the coast and, specifically loved this property! It was clean, cozy, comfortable, very spacious and in a great location. We enjoyed walking to the beach and taking the property owner's suggestions on hiking trails and places to eat. We didn't have the greatest weather, but we didn't mind because the house was so comfortable to just hang out in. I even took a cozy nap on a rainy afternoon! The one thing we missed was being able to catch up on the news, etc. because they don't have an antennae or cable hooked up for the television. However, we were busy enough, it didn't affect how we felt about our stay. GREAT property and owners to work with!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I took my two grown daughters, one boyfriend and infant grandbaby for a much-needed long weekend. I was looking for a place where we could just kind of roost and not do a lot of running around. I was also looking for a kitchen that could handle cooking for 4 people over the course of 3 days. The Tree House definitely fit the bill! The kitchen was very well-equipped, and it was wonderful cooking and being able to visit with everyone while they lounged and played games. I think we must have tested out at least half of the games there, and that's saying a lot, because there were TONS! The kids also enjoyed flying kites (or at least trying to - it was eerily calm all weekend). The house in general was perfect for our group. The kids took over the downstairs, popped popcorn in the little ktichenette, and watched movies on the big screen. There was ample space for all of them in that area. And I LOVED my room and clawfoot tub. Couldn't believe how spacious it was! We spent the majority of our time together upstairs, which was a bit of a concern with a baby, but we brought a baby gate and put it at the head of the stairs. No problem at all, and aside from having a tough time getting traction on the wood floors at times, our little guy had a ball exploring. Our only issue with beach access is that the shortcut from the house is really only for adults and children that can manage themselves pretty well. When all of us went at the same time, we had to walk down to the beach access at the hotel, which was no problem at all, although we tried bringing a stroller. Not impossible, but no easy task, either! I just want to thank the Tadlocks for providing such a terrific place for us to have a memorable family getaway. Will definitely return!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I and our best friends stayed at The Tree House over Valentines Day and had a Wonderful experience. The gourmet kitchen is great, it has every thing you would need and more. Our husbands prepared us an amazing Valentines dinner while we relaxed in the adjoining living room area. It is all open so we were all able to visit at the same time. The master bedroom is beautiful with a queen sized white four poster bed and skylight directly above, and my favorite the old fashioned bath tub. The second bedroom is on the lower level which was like a separate apartment, with it's own bathroom provided each couple privacy. It is only a short walk to the beach through a Hobbit Trail. Driftwood shores, and a friendly local bar called Jerry's are a short walk away as well. Our first night we ventured down the trail to the beach in the dark with a flashlight. You do have to climb over a few dunes, but it's not so bad and not too far, don't forget to bring something to mark the entrance leading back to the trail to the house. I wouldn't recommend this with small children at night. It was great fun !! Our only tiny little complaint would be that we were unable to use the BBQ for our steaks, due to it being too rusty to use, but no big deal they just used the broiler in the oven. Thank You so much Marty and Julie for letting us create memories with our friends in your fabulous Tree House. We would love to come back in the future and will recommend it to any one we know that is going to stay at the coast!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family of five had a wonderful time at the coast. This little tree house was perfect, we could walk outside and be at the sandy beach. I loved to style and cleanliness of this house, the decor was perfect and made it seem like we were a million miles away from everyone else. The owners have sand toys and discs available for the guest to use which make the dunes ton of fun. We will surely be back to rent out this place and hope to stay longer next time.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband, 2 grandchildren (ages 10 & 13) and I stayed for 3 nights at the tree House. It was a perfect house for us. The boys had the bottom floor (family room with large screen TV to watch DVDs, bedroom and bath), and we adults had the upstairs living room and bedroom. The house is beautifully furnished and the kitchen is equipped at the A+ level. It was fun to find our way to the beach. And, if you want to sandboard, there is a sandboard rental place very near by. We'll definitely rent it again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Tree house. It was very clean, comfortable, relaxing and a beautiful spot. The short walk to the beach was lovely, bit of a hill to get over if you walk to the end of the road pathway. It is only a short walk or drive to the state park with easy access to the beach. The house was very well equipped and maintained and did I say “clean”. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need to have a lovely stay. The Tree house is close to the beach and close to town. Florence is a lovely town with lots of shops and restaurants. Thank you Julie and Marty, for a wonderful stay and we would love to visit again some time.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Our family of four really enjoyed our stay at this house! The decor was beautiful, and the kitchen was wonderfully stocked. There's a Fred Meyer very close that had everything we needed to make our stay more comfortable (like groceries...). The house was incredibly clean! The master bedroom is beautiful. The bed is different than the pictures, in that it is now a white four poster bed. There's a skylight above the bed that allows a clear view of the night sky and the stars! My 14yo daughter really enjoyed the full-sized boat bed, and my son (16) was very comfortable on the futon in the TV room. He actually wants to move there. The wifi worked great, too. Note that there is NO TV reception at this house. We even bought an antenna, but to no avail. (Hey, The Bachelor finale was on! It was important!) We rented a couple movies and enjoyed those, though. Also, there are speakers all over the house, so you have the option of listenting to the radio, which we did a lot. There is also a great selection of games to play, during which I learned that I am NOT smarter than a 5th grader. The only thing I was disappointed about was that the windows had sand grit on the outside making the view fuzzy. I'm sure that this is a normal issue at the beach, though, and I got over it. It was better on dryer days. The path to the beach can be difficult if you have a hard time getting around. Part of the path is literally cut into the bushes/trees and requires some ducking and turning sideways to get through. Then, there are a couple of dunes to walk over. There is parking near the Driftwood Shores Resort where you can walk right to the beach, though. Marty was so great to work with, and responded very quickly to our emails. He sends out an email with suggestions of things to do, and places to see. I have recommended this home to all my Facebook friends. While there, we enjoyed two great dune buggy rides at Sandland Adventures, toured the lighthouse, visited the Pioneer Museum and shopped in Old Town, and, of course, ate at Mo's. We found a wonderful bakery on Bay Street in Old Town and visited there every day! It is two doors down from the Fireman's Cafe (can't remember the name). I would recommend a five-day Oregon Coast park pass for $10. It allowed us to go to all the places we wanted to see, without paying each time. There's just SO much to do in Florence that isn't available at Seaside. We loved it!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Interior of this home is as gorgeous as the owner's description makes it out to be. The kitchen and living area is spectacular, the MBR very romantic (though I'd put the toilet in a separate room), and the downstairs is charming, with a great room to relax and watch a movie or play a game. Florence is a great town and this is an excellent spot within walking distance of the beach. Beware the July winds though if you're not used to them - it's generally not "summer beach weather". We hope to visit again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This is the best equipped beach vacation house—especially the kitchen—it is a cook's dream. The house and furnishings are charming and romantic. But this house also works well for two generations or a family with children and/or teens. There are several paths to the beach that provide adventure. Old Town Florence is a short drive and the lighthouse tour is a must-see. I have family members I would love to share this house with, perhaps next summer. The owners were very responsive to all of my inquiries; very much appreciated! Thanks for the lovely stay!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
