  My husband and I stayed in the studio for 8 nights. The studio is small, clean and well equipped with everything you needs for a relaxing stay. Best features: the outdoor shower is wonderful, kitchenette has all the essentials needed, including a coffee maker, the beach is great for sunsets, meeting the neighbors and their dogs, and watching the surfers. The North Shore has great local eateries, shopping and a very relaxed atmosphere. If you are looking to get away from the crowds, disconnect and slow down this location and property are an excellent choice?

  The beach studio was a perfect getaway. I came alone for some R&R before the holiday rush and found just the peace, privacy and lovely surroundings I had hoped for. Arlene made sure I found my way there, late in the evening, and everything in the studio was welcoming and thoughtfully prepared. The outdoor shower was especially delightful, as was being steps away from a peaceful beach. Morning coffee in the garden facing the ocean, just outside my door, was a perfect start to every day. With a few treats in my pocket, I always had a friendly neighborhood dog welcome me at the beach. I especially appreciated being away from the crowds in Waikiki. Everything I needed was within walking, biking or even a short drive to Haleiwa. I wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend the beach studio and the kind and generous owners.

  It's difficult to put into words the wonderful time I had at this quaint beach house. Yards away from the ocean, combined with the fragrant smell of flowers, plants, and the vegetation of Hawaii made this a perfect romantic getaway; especially for those who want their own private beach. The neighbors and locals made this trip one to remember as well. Constant "Aloha's", suggestions for activity, and a very easy breezy attitude provided entertainment all the time. If you're looking to travel to the North Shore look no place other than this property. Surfs Up!

  Yes it is on the Beach and yes it is small. But. I was so trilled to find this wonderful place! So clean and I loved to open the door to see the ocean! We stayed a month and the time just flew by! So much to do. It had everything we needed. I really liked having a bike to get around with.

  Great location , right in front of the beach in a very quiet area, perfect for 2 persons but not more ( small studio but very clean as said in the ad) . The owners where very friendly and helpful. The studio offers many amenities (kitchenette , use of the bikes, washing machine and dryer, barbecue , beach towels ...) Mahalo Arlene and Bill !

  My husband found this rental and I was so glad he did. Being right on the beach was an absolute plus! It is just as the pictures describe and looking at them make me want to go back! You have privacy and it's the perfect spot if you want to tour the island and come back to a homey feeling place. They had all the utensils and kitchen items we needed. We didn't make meals when we found Ted's Bakery right up the street. The bbq chicken lunch plate is out of this world! I think we ordered out five times out of the eight days we were at the rental. The pie and homemade rolls were amazing as well, a definite must if you are near there. It was handy having a washer and dryer right on the property. Even if it took a few minutes to get hot water every once in awhile, the outdoor shower was amazing! Taking a shower and looking while looking at the view of the beach and waves was incredible. The hosts are two of the nicest people ever, very helpful and make you feel right at home. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at the property and experience the little piece of heaven that you get to live every day! Would definitely recommend to anyone!

  We stayed for 6 nights and loved it! Only recommend for 2 people though. We loved the area right on the beach and spent many nights just sitting on the beach watching the sunset or walking down the beach or riding the bikes down to all the surf spots or the store or the bakery or sharkeys cove. Overall very relaxing and the owners were great, he even let me use a board so I could get smashed by the surf:) loved it and will be back!

  I loved my stay at this studio. Its clean and cozy, with a well equipped kitchen. The outdoor shower was a plus to me, and it was nice to be right on the beach. I am not a surfer, but enjoyed watching, and using the bikes to explore the north shore. The owners are super nice and although I was there during a holiday weekend, it felt very private.

  Sunset Beach is amazing. Beautiful and quiet, with amazing surfing and surfer-watching opportunities. When my wife and I were there for ten days in September, the surf was up and it was awesome to sit and watch. It made me wish I knew how to surf. The studio apartment was all we needed it to be. Sure, it's small, but very well appointed. It's arranged so that you when you are in bed you can look out the front door at the beach. The place comes with everything you need. Bikes, beach towels, beach chairs, cooking tools. There's an electric grill outside. The owners even encouraged us to use their surfboards if we wanted. Oh, and don't forget, there is a lovely pool right outside the door for when you want to cool off, but don't want to get in the ocean. We had it to ourselves when we were there. The neighborhood is very comfortable and completely residential. Security concerns never crossed our minds. The home is on a gated street and parking is in an attached garage. We left the doors open most of the time for fresh air. It's wonderful to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. It's in a great neighborhood too. It has a very comfortable residential feel. My wife and I fell in love with a very cool, low-key neighborhood dog named Nani. She would be there hanging out on the beach with us most days, and would give us a nice warm welcome when we came home. We miss you Nani! There's a bike trail that goes almost all the way to Waimea Bay, past a great grocery store and an even better local eatery called Ted's Bakery. It's a 4-5 minute walk away, and open 7am to 8pm every day, which is awesome. They serve breakfast, sandwiches, plate lunches and baked goods (doughnuts, croissants, muffins, scones, cakes, pies, etc) at prices that are great (for Hawaii anyway). Everything we had there was VERY good. Definitely try their famous chocolate haupia cream (coconut custard) pie. The garlic shrimp was better than those Kahuku shrimp trucks, hands down. This was really the perfect place for me and my wife. On the other hand, if you need a lot of space, are a gourmet cook, want to be amongst a million other tourists, want to be next door to a nightclub, or can't live without McDonald's, then you might want to look elsewhere. Bottom line, this beach front studio is an amazing deal, even more so when you consider that the owners don't add any extra fees, taxes, or cleaning charges. It's all included, up-front, honest. You gotta love that. Five stars.
