Your Swiss Efficiency hosts, Verena and Rudi, originally from Central Switzerland and Germany's Black Forest, welcome world travelers to our attractive, contemporary Studio apartments accommodations. We are fluent in English, Swiss, and German, and also speak moderate French and Italian.
The Swiss Efficiency apartments are on the garden level of our home. These apartments are the ideal arrangement for short or long stays in Anchorage, either for business or family visits. We are conveniently located close to restaurants, stores, bike trails, and city parks.
We do offer last minute rates for up to 20% discount and up to 30% longer stay discounts are always guaranteed.
Very attractive, monthly winter rates from September 16 - May 14 (sliding scale rate depends on the length of stay of up to 8 months).

Garden Efficiency - Summer Season - $115/night,$110 =3 or more nights.$700/weekly
Mountain View Eff.- Summer Season - $130/night,$125 =3 or more nights.$800/weekly
Rates quoted are for single or double occupancy; $10/2 beds, third occupant is an
additional $20. (Note: Add 12% local bed tax to all rates.)
Payment is accepted in Cash, Travelers Check, Personal Check or Credit Card.
For Extended Stays in excess of one week (seven days), please request a special
quote. Last minute rates up to 20% always available. Up to 30% discount for longer
stays. We also offer attractive weekly & monthly Off-Season Rates.

Why the Owner Chose Anchorage
We always had personal company from the USA and from Europe mainly. When we built our new home in 2001/2002, we decided to open our home to the tourists, as there always seems to be a shortage of reasonable accommodations in Anchorage during the summer months.
The Unique Benefits at this Studio
We are conveniently located approx. 5 miles from the Airport, the perfect location for late arrivals by air. We are also only minutes away from highway access south and nord, as well as convenient to parks, businesses, shopping, trails, universities and hospitals. Our Suites are the ideal arrangement for the discriminating traveler or for the need to travel to Anchorage for medical reasons, temporary work, or whatever the need to travel to Anchorage might be.

Verena and Rudi enjoy the interaction with people from near and far. Verena being an avid traveler herself loves to talk about her and the guests travel. Verena grew up in a small town in Switzerland and therefore enjoys gardening, flowers and a house full of plants.

My husband and I recently spent one month in Alaska. We made Anchorage our 'home base', and we were very fortunate to find the Swiss Efficiency B and B. Our hosts, Verena and Rudi exceeded our expectations. We were unique in that we were coming and going four different times, and each time, they were welcoming and helpful with any of our needs. The rooms were quiet, and clean and comfortably furnished. We were also given access to storage in their garage, and the laundry room saved the day after our adventures. The location is very user friendly: walking distance to a major grocery store, liquor store, restaurants, and the city bus route. We strongly recommend this B and B. You will not be disappointed!

Verena and Rudi's Swiss Efficiency Bed & Breakfast is an excellent place to stay when one visits Anchorage AK. I stayed at the thier place for 13 weeks as a traveling nurse and was extremely pleased with the accomindation and their hospitality.
