You definitely will not be disappointed if you decide to stay here. The property is well-maintained and cleaned and looks exactly like the picture. We stayed here for a birthday weekend and as we arrived later than we had planned, Warren and Mindy made sure that outside lights were on for us. Before and during our trip, they also were helpful and made sure that our trip was to be the best. It is an easy 40 minute drive to New Orleans...the bridge to New Orleans is literally a mile away. If I was to visit, I definitely would stay here again....Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We just got home from a 3 night stay in the "treehouse". The location is unbeatable. You can walk to the lakefront and there are great restaurants and coffeehouses within 1-3 miles. There is a huge deck to sit outside and enjoy the lake breezes. The inside of this house was immaculate and it had everything we needed. Comfortable furniture too. The owners were so nice and worked with us when we had a little hiccup with our dates. GREAT place to go and chill out. We will be going back.Did you find this review helpful? We once lived in the area and wanted a comfortable and convenient place to stay while we visited with friends and and went sightseeing. We spent four weeks in The Treehouse and it was just perfect! All items in the house were top quality. I cooked a good deal and all of the kitchen equipment and appliances were grand. The bedding and towels were so comfortable. The water was hot. The washer, dryer were efficient. The house was well stocked with all of the basics. We were able to entertain and have guests - no wild parties! Warren and Mindy left us a generous welcome basket and a King Cake! We had a few minor problems which he addressed quickly and courteously. We are sad that the weather was such we did not get to use the great porch or the bikes on the Trace- maybe next time. I did walk on the lakefront every day - so beautiful and changeable. He went golfing several times. We also got to see the Mardi Paws Parade on the lakefront. The number of excellent restaurants and grocery stores in such a small area is amazing. We traveled easily into The Quarter, plantations and The WWII Museum. So much to do here. A really wonderful experience. Thank you Mindy and Warren.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Absolutely awesome trip to LA! The Mandeville Treehouse was everything it was advertised to be plus more! The owners went out of their way to welcome us, left excellent instructions where everything was, how to make things work, best places to eat, etc. which was a really big help to us. The photos don't even come close to how beautiful and homey feeling the house really is. The location is excellent, too...we went across the lake to New Orleans to shop, sight-see and party, drove to Breaux Bridge for the day to listen to Cajun music with friends, also spent most of a day geocaching in Fontainbleu State Park, plenty of bars & restaurants in Mandeville, too, so you can just chill near the Treehouse and watch the sunset over Lake Ponchartrain. We did a lot of "stuff" and a lot of "nothing" on our wonderful vacation. Happy Birthday to ME! :) Many Many Thanks to the owners for everything...I'm hoping we'll be talking to you again in about a year! And we will definitely recommend The Mandeville Treehouse to our friends.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This was our second stay at the treehouse. We love it so much that we will continue to reserve every time I visit family. I am hesitant to give such glowing reviews because if it becomes too popular, I might not get the dates I want. ;-) But seriously, the process is easy, the owners are wonderful, and the house has everything you can imagine! Our first stay was with two families of four and it worked out fine. This last time, my wife and I had the place to ourselves! Morning walks down the lakefront are pure bliss. Make sure you stop off for breakfast at the Broken Egg Cafe after your walk.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Mandeville Treehouse. The location was easy to find, as per the detailed directions given, and we arrived to a very clean, well maintained home. It was walking distance to the biking and walking trails in the area (bikes supplied at the home), as well as many local restaurants. I would highly recommend the Treehouse, and look forward to a stay in the future.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We stayed at the Treehouse for the weekend with sister in law and brother in law. The house is very comfy and clean. I loved the porch, sitting out there in the morning and evening. Short walk up to the lake front where there's a water fountain and play ground for the kids to play on. The owners are wonderful. Thanks again. We will stay here again the next time we come to Mandeville.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

This VRBO far exceeded my expectations. So clean, comfortable and well stocked, even my month-long stay was not enough! There is a lot to do in Mandeville, if you feel like 'doing.' Most everything there is geared to bike riding, so getting around is a breeze. Bikes and tyke riders are provided at the Treehouse! And on the days when 'not doing' is more the mood, there is a great place to sit and contemplate and bird-watch. Cajun folklore says that spirits of loved ones from heaven come down disguised as red birds.Well, we had a virtual family reunion! So fun to watch them. Eating out is wonderful once you make a selection from the excellent nearby choices, helped along by Warren and Mindy's thoughtful guide. However, cooking is a very viable option, especially if it includes meat from Saia's.(just look for the big cow) Cooking and grilling tools are top notch and well organized. With the wide-open floorplan, even the cook doesn't miss a thing.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
