Homey and spacious two-level house on a sun-blessed pasture gently sloping down to your private beach in a protected bay.
It is located by an enchanting tidal bay (see photos) where you'll be able to fish for crabs, go for a tonic swim or maybe pick clams or oysters. If you value peace and seclusion, you'll appreciate that the house is hidden in pristine nature and accessed by a private lane. If you enjoy hikes, you can take the trail up to nearby Mt Young and its commanding view of so many US and Canadian islands. If you like dining outdoor, relaxing, and watching the sunset, why not sit around a small bonfire in the large natural garden that leads to your own low-bank waterfront. On the other side of the house, you will find pastures with horses and cows, an alpaca farm, small lakes, and rolling hills. Only 20 minutes from the town and the ferry, it feels like a world away. A dream for kayakers and birdwatchers! Reconnect with Nature and your family in a untouched environment. A secret retreat to study, write and compose!
UNDER THE ROOF
The house features 2 protected porches and wrap-around balcony. Overlooking the bay, the upstairs bedroom is spacious and filled with natural light. It sleeps 2 + 2 in the loft in a Japanese ambiance. The bathroom has an oversized tiled shower and a 2 person tub to soak in while watching the otters and the herons. The foyer is generous and welcoming and leads to the various parts of the house.
At the garden level, facing the water, it includes an open kitchen with large oven, microwave, 2 sinks, island/butcher-block and a pantry. The bathroom (shower and toilet) features a designer sink and an oversized window. Nestled at the quietest end of the building, the second bedroom offers doors to the deck and the beach, and view of the water from the queen-bed. Internet Wi-Fi included.
Due to the waterfront (low-bank approx. 4ft) and a small pond, supervision of young children is advised.

Very much enjoyed our experience here... Very rustic house with lots of character and outstanding location. We brought our kids - ages 9 - 15, and they had a great time hiking at nearby trails/ drives to the harbors/ cookouts, and many fun activities. It's a great getaway, and we enjoyed the pet-friendly feature. Would recommend it highly.

We just returned from a week's vacation at this beautiful home. If you’re looking for peace and quiet and privacy, this is a great place to stay. We saw numerous bald eagle, deer, osprey, and even a small harbor seal came into the bay each evening. We were able to have our own private campfire's by the water, and one night a golden eagle sat in the tree above us and watched geese swim by. I would recommend this home for anyone who enjoys nature, kayaking, and seclusion. Also there’s great hiking around the corner at Mt Young. Vacationing here has made me feel so refreshed and alive. We would love to vacation here again.

What a great time! Way too short! Beyond our expectations. The house felt just right and the location cannot be more peaceful and pristine. I recommend have dinner at the Golden Triangle in Friday Harbor. Superb Lao/Thai food. Our dogs was in heaven, so were we! We will come back next year, for 2 weeks !!! More kayaking! Thank you!
