Charlotte apartment description
This home is part of The Home Collection-Charlotte's Boutique Furnished Residences. TheHomeCollectionCLT.com
One of the best locations in Charlotte! Located on a quiet, tree-lined residential street in the historic district of Dilworth, 1.5 miles from the central business district (Uptown), you'll be able to walk to 3 parks, two full-service grocery stores, 40 restaurants, wine shop, yoga and massage studios, coffee shops, art galleries, consignment shops, neighborhood pubs and other amenities. A transit stop 1/2 block away provides bus service directly to Uptown and SouthPark (upscale shopping) every 15 minutes. Light rail is only a 15-minute walk away. Carolinas Medical Center is 4 minutes away by car, or an easy 15-20 minute walk. A bike is also available for your use upon request to make use of the bike lanes and paths in the neighborhood.
This super-comfortable, spotlessly clean, quiet, large one-bedroom apartment is in a historic 8-plex apartment building built in 1920, and has been completely remodeled with attention to all the details. High ceilings, refinished original hardwood floors, original 2-panel doors with glass door knobs help the apartment maintain its original character. It is furnished in an updated traditional style with modern flair, with an emphasis on comfort.
Perhaps the best feature is the large private screened porch, overlooking the front lawn, which provides a comfortable and mosquito-free outdoor living and dining area to take advantage of Charlotte's wonderful climate, whether for breakfast in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.
We've recently undertaken a complete GREEN renovation on the building, including dual- pane windows, high efficiency HVAC, energy efficient lighting, dual-flush toilets, ceiling fans, tankless water heaters and new insulation for comfort.
In the fully-equipped kitchen there are brand new cabinets, quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances, including a gas range and refrigerator with ice maker. Washer and dryer are also included in the apartment for your use. There is a desk, a printer, wifi, and a small stereo cd player with a place for your Ipod or MP3 player, a large flat screen television in the living room and a smaller one in the bedroom.
400-thread-count linens are provided for the King size bed, and there is an inflatable queen size air mattress if you have guests. Egyptian cotton towels are provided as well.
The ground-floor apartment has a reserved parking space, an outdoor patio with gas grill, recycling facilities and composting. The grounds are well-landscaped with native and drought tolerant plantings. You'll feel safe and secure, with keyed access required for both the main entrance and the apartment.
Most of our guests are repeat clients who book in advance, so please book early. We think we've thought of everything you'll need for your visit, but if not, we live right around the corner so can help with anything you might need. With enough notice, we'll be happy to stock the apartment with your choice of food, beverages, etc. I'm a native Charlottean, so am happy to provide any help during your stay, including restaurant suggestions, art openings, events, etc. Just ask! You'll love living like a local. We look forward to hosting you.

We could not have chosen a better place to stay! It was truly like being in your own place... I loved the small details like a the lights on, music playing, and a welcoming bottle of wine and box of chocolate bites... now that's personal service! My boyfriend was getting treatment at the Medical Center and the apartment was an easy 5 minutes away, even at rush hour. There are so many great choices of where to eat within minutes, it was easy to stop in and eat or grab it to go. I felt safe, comfortable and right at home. Thank you!

First break from kids in 3 years!!
Michelle and I want to thank you, thank you, thank you for being such an excellent host. We truly enjoyed our "mini-vacay" here at Magnolia Green. This is an amazing space, and we will tell all our friends about it!! Our favorite part was the screened porch. We spent many hours just sitting, talking and listening to classic jazz, and also enjoyed breakfast on the porch Saturday. Thank you again for offering such a wonderful place for travelers to stay. We will always remember our time here.

Fantastic stay and visit to charlotte
Fantastic stay and visit to charlotte
We are more than pleased with our stay at Jim and James's place in charlotte. The place had more than enough provisions to make us feel right at home. The kitchen was super nice with updated appliances and cookware. We enjoyed the screened in porch and the neighborhood was beautiful! We were greeted with a nice array of thoughtful goodies and helpful tidbits about the house and the goings on about town. Jim and James were extremely helpful in recommending places for dinner and fun around charlotte. We were able to use the two bikes at the property and bike to a Pathers game downtown. James even filled up our tires before we started the trek. The place is just as is described. Very cozy and lovely. Well definitely stay at one of Jim and James's remodels ASAP!

What a great place to stay. Everything you would need is in the apartment. Very very clean and decorated nicely. It was close to my daughter's home, and was ideal for a longer visit. Would definitely recommend Jim and James' apartments and will be back next time I'm in town. They even left goodies!

We had a great time!
We had a great time!
we are thinking of moving to Charlotte and thought a stay in a neighborhood would be a better experience than a hotel - we were right. Jim and James were available and friendly, the codo was clean and well stocked and Dilworth is a great part of Charlotte - so clean. And all the road is Charlotte are so SMOOTH - especially compared to Massachusetts!

The apartment was just as charming as it looked on line. It was absolutely clean and a beautiful space to relax in. We enjoyed walking the beautiful neighborhoods, as well. Also, this location was an easy drive to Interstate 77 and major roads within the city. Lisa was a great and happy welcoming party as were the treats she left for us. I just loved sitting on the screened in porch in the morning and hearing the city wake up. The only down side was a party across the street that was loud and went quite late in the evening. This did not quite match the vision of a neighborhood that goes to bed early. However, it was graduation time and this was the only negative. We would most definately rent from this owner and at this location, again.

The apartment was clean, comfortable and very homey. The owners, Jim and James, and their assistant Lisa were welcoming and wonderful hosts. I stayed for a full month and took many walks on the Dilworth/Southend area. It was a perfect location. I highly recommend this VRBO and hope to stay there again on another visit to Charlotte.

Amazing get away in perfect location!
Amazing get away in perfect location!
Why stay in a hotel in Charlotte when you can stay in one of Jim and James' apartments? Super clean, awesome location (convenient to shops, bars, restaurants), and personal touches such as wine, biscuits, and other food waiting for us in the kitchen made this a 5 star rental! It was a magical get away and Jim and James went out of their way to make sure everything was taken care of and even provided us with a ton of recommendations within walking distance of the apartment. We would highly recommend this property to anyone needing a place to stay in Charlotte!

Why the Owner Chose Charlotte:
Historic Dilworth is among the best and most walkable locations in the city. The neighborhood is made up of a nice mix of people who value the convenience of living so close to Uptown, but in a quiet setting with tree-lined streets, wide sidewalks and non-cookie-cutter homes. We do most of our errands on foot or by bike, and enjoy being out and about in the neighborhood.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
Located near three parks, several grocers, a farmers market, wine shop and dozens of restaurants, it's a great place to park your car and explore on foot or by bike.
