A unique apartment in the Marais with an exceptional terrace which you can really live on and use for dinner, apéritifs, or just relaxing after a hard day's sightseeing!

This 50m2 (530 ft 2) apartment is ideally located right in the center of the famous Marais district and within walking distance of many major Paris attractions. The Seine, Notre Dame and the Ile St Louis are all an easy walk, and you can also walk over the bridges to get to the Latin Quarter and St Germain. A host of grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants and unique boutiques are all around you. A number of smaller museums are nearby and the Louvre is not far away. Metro St. Paul is minutes away on the rue de Rivoli. The RER train direct to Charles de Gaule airport is 15-20 minute walk (easy if your luggage is light and/or on wheels). It really is a prime - and practical - location.

This original apartment has been modernized to include all comforts. The living area has a trundle sofa which can be converted into 2 single beds for two persons. The compact, fully equipped kitchen is large and self contained. There is a dining area in the kitchen for quick & easy meals, but otherwise use the living dining space or in nice weather the unique balcony. The bedroom has a large queen-size bed with antique furniture including a large period armoire. The bathroom has a tub with shower, toilet and washbasin. The living room and bedroom windows both look out on to a beautiful and unique balcony. The small street is off the main drag, so it is very quiet. The apartment is situated on the 1st floor (European = one floor walk up). There is no elevator.

All linens and towels are provided, the beds are made up when you arrive, and cleaning is done to the highest standards. Basic groceries such as tea, coffee, sugar, etc. are supplied, household items, too. There are maps, guides and a metro map in the apartment.

Please note that we do not accept bookings earlier than 6 months in advance of arrival.

I don't understand the negitive review from the previous guest. I just completed a 16 day stay and would reccomend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay in Paris.Dennis,Anne and Richard could not have been more efficent and helpful. Each of them are a gracious and lovely person. When people travel they must remember they are in a different country and sometimes things are different than they are used to. During my stay we met 3 different neighbors and all were very nice, this is a very quiet building on a wonderful street. I am going to give the highest reccomendation to any one I met who wants the perfect place to stay in Paris, this apartment is perfect.

I arrived after a long flight and was brought to the area of the flat brought by taxi. The taxi's navigation system and directions given by Richard failed to note that there are 2 versions of the flat's street which must have one time circumnavigated a neighborhood exhibit hall ....even numbers on one side of the exhibition hall and odd numbers on the other. After much meandering (and phone calls with Richard) I and the taxi driver figured this out.....On top of this, there is a street directly across the way which is name ALMOST the same as the flat's street. A hand drawn map of the immediate area pointing out these confusions would have helped a lot. The flat was very pleasant and well located....however two or 3 nights into our stay....we came home after midnight to a rocking, loud party directly over our heads. We were dismayed to think we'd moved into a frat house/building. We needed sleep and called Richard who told us we should talk to the people upstairs but that there was nothing that he or anyone could do. The woman having the party asserted that she'd warned the building of her planned party. She made a token attempt to decrease the noise level which lasted around 5 minutes and then went back up . Richard said we could leave if we didn't like it and that he'd called a taxi for us if we wanted. Since the party was almost plaster cracking in decibels and since it was going on until 2 or 5 am depending on who you talked to, we actually thought of moving out. Luckily I had ear plugs which actually worked extremely well and we survived the night. The owner of the flat said that parties are uncommon in the building but one should be prepared if you rent this flat. Other than those 2 upsetting incidents, we really enjoyed the flat...everything worked well and the flat itself was as nice as promised. I wouldn't dwell on these downsides, but I really think people should know about them.....I'm pretty sure that these kind of disturbances could have been anticipated and handled better. Perhaps management could block off dates or at least inform potential renters of upcoming disturbances in the building since parties have to be advertised in advance.

Owner response: Hello: I'm really sorry about the loud party. It's very unusual and as you can imagine difficult to predict. I believe Richard, offered to find a nearby hotel and organize a taxi for you as a stopgap measure. Mind you, I've stayed in hotels and had bad luck with a party in the room next door. Also unusual for the taxi driver to not find the place. To avoid confusion we send very detailed directions ALL guests as follows: If you take a taxi, make sure the driver understands that you want to go to the rue du Marché des Blancs Manteaux which is very small. There is also a rue des Blancs Manteaux (nearby) which is better known. Last but not least, we also offer the option of organizing a pick-up at the airport at a reasonable rate.

Bravo! What a treat to find a place that lives up to its description. My wife and I stayed in the apartment for close to two weeks and were so happy to have found it. Everything works and like the other renters, we spent time on the balcony eating and drinking coffee or a glass of Bordeaux -- a couple times even in the drizzle. The building is quiet, the bedroom is spacious and the bed comfortable. The living room/dining room gives you the feel of home. And you are indeed only a few minutes from the Seine and the terrific Centre Pompidou. We would absolutely stay there again.

Owner response: So glad you enjoyed your stay and appreciated the balcony (even in the drizzle). Wish I had more time to enjoy our own place. Hope to have you stay again.

The apartment is very comfortable and roomy. Well equipped. Excellent location; near to countless restaurants, shops, museums, lovely streets to wander. Close to major sights of Paris, plus many lesser-known places of interest. Could not have been better.

Very nice apartment, we stayed for two weeks in October - November 2012.  It was the perfect place for us, very comfortable with all the comforts of home.  It had a nice size bedroom and bed.  Cozy living room, with outside balcony.  It had all the things that we were looking for in an apartment; fully equipped kitchen with washer/dryer, telephone, wi-fi, television. Located on the first floor.  Perfect location near so many shops, great restaurants,  metro and RER train.  Within walking distance to many historic sites. We would love to stay at this apartment again.  We were right off a busy street but didn't have any problem with noise. Rental of the property went smoothly, Anne and Richard were helpful and made our stay pleasant. When our flight was cancelled they responded to our need to stay a couple of extra nights.

Very nice, thank you Anne and Richard. We stayed at this apartment 2 weeks and found it a terrific and comfortable place from which to see Paris. We visited the local grocers/bakers, etc., ate most meals in the apartment, and found it to be well equipped for this purpose. As other reviewers have noted, this is a very convenient location for seeing the sights and is short walk from the metro stops and from Notre Dame and the Ille d' Cite, etc. The Marais is a great area for shopping or dining. The neighbors were congenial and quiet. We were at the apartment while the evenings were warm in Paris and often slept with the doors to the balcony open. There was some occasional noise from Chez Marianne around the corner or passing vehicles on the adjacent streets, but we did not find this to be a significant problem. This would be less of an issue in cooler weather in any case. In summary, we enjoyed our stay and found Anne and Richard to be most helpful. We would recommend this location highly.

We stayed at this charming apartment the first week of September and found this property to be the perfect location to see Paris. The apartment itself is better than advertised with plenty of room for two people. We were able to cook several meals and enjoyed sitting on the balcony sipping wine and people watching each evening. There are two metro stations within minutes of the apartment and with the iPhone Paris Metro App we were able to navigate the city with no issues. The Marais area has plenty of excellent restaurants, cafes and shops. Anne was very helpful and gave us a wonderful recommendation for a restaurant around the corner from the Moulin Rouge. We would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to truly experience the Paris lifestyle.

Just spent three weeks in France...two in Paris in Mr.Seisun's apartment. What a pleasure!!! The apartment is even nicer and more spacious than it appears...especially the terrace. You could practically open a café out there! We have rented apartments in France and Paris for about eight years and this was definitely my favorite!!! We felt relaxed and at ease from the moment we arrived. Anne and Richard were both wonderful to deal with...Anne through email and Richard at the flat. The apartment had pretty much EVERYTHING we needed and was decorated nicely with soft colors! Two fans, all linens, basic cooking ingredients (salt, pepper, oil, sugar, tea...), kitchen supplies, good-size refrigerator with separate freezer, soap (including for washer/dryer and dishwasher), hamper, SUPERB mattress, fast wifi...the list goes on. It was like being at home, only in Paris! As other reviewers mentioned, there is street noise (voices carry/echo as well as the noise from scooters and cars) from rue Vieille du Temple and noise until almost midnight from Chez Marianne, but certainly no more so than other apartments we have rented. With the beautiful floor-to-ceiling French windows closed in the bedroom, it was not an issue. Also, since dining is so late in Paris, we didn't normally go to sleep until well after that anyway. We also travel with a 'white noise' machine so it did not bother us. It is the perfect couples apartment! You will not be disappointed!

Owner response: Thank you for the review. It is always great to hear that guests had a good time and look forward to coming back. To quote Anne, our friend who manages the appt in Paris, "It's reviews like these that make my day and validate all the effort put into making things go smoothly for our visitors. Hope to see you again - A la prochaine. Dennis

We had a great time staying in this lovely place, it is very light and airy and we found the apartment to be even larger than the photos appear. The terrace is a real bonus, it was great to relax outside in the sunshine. The apartment is close by two metro stations, Hotel de ville and St Paul's both about 8 mins walk away. The Marais is a vibrant, lively area of Paris with lots of cafes and bars. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends and family.

Our stay in the Le Marais apartment was wonderful. The apartment was exactly as pictured on the website, and the location (several short blocks to the St Paul metro stop on line 1) was perfect. It was less than 15 minutes to the Louvre or to the Champs Elysees. The area surrounding the apartment has 4 excellent patisseries, and 3 small supermarkets, as well as multiple inexpensive restaurants (falafal, creperies, Italian, French). Anne and Richard were very helpful with pre-arrangements and early check-in. We were greeted with a bottle of red wine and assistance up the 1 flight of stairs with our luggage. They both were immediately available for any questions. We would be most happy to stay there again in the future.
