We had a wonderful time at the Angel's apartment. Silvio was great in managing all the details of our trip. He went out of his way to assist and even arranged for holding our luggage past check out. The apartment is well furnished. The hand out for the guests was very helpful and we were able to find grocery stores, pharmacies and bus stops very easily. Location is perfect: Safe and perfectly located to walk or take the bus. Internet service was excellent . Can't wait for our next trip.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: thank u!

Silvio was very responsive to any enquiry we had, and Elena was very helpful too. The apartment was simply lovely. Very bright with beautiful view of the park, and also very spacious for the two of us. It is clean and well furnished. We love the location as it is away from the touristy (usually noisier) part of Rome, and yet still convenient for us to walk or take the bus to the busy part of Rome. The apartment is about 10mins walk to Vatican. Room for improvement would be the fridge which had quite a strong smell. Other than that, it was simply lovely and we look forward to stay there again on our next trip to Rome.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.
Owner response: thank u for your review, and thank u for telling me about fridge, i will certainly take a look at it immediately!!!

This well located unit is walking distance to pretty much all the major sites in Rome and around the corner from the Vatican. Silvio was wonderful to work with and super responsive. The unit was everything we wanted and more. The unit has its own laptop and printer which was great for mapping out out next day's agenda and the bathroom is pretty large by Rome standards. We can't wait to get back to Rome and stay there again. Very reasonably priced and everything we needed.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The apartment is exactly as presented. It was very clean, functional, everything worked well and was in excellent condition. Silvio had someone meet us at the airport which was very welcome after a long flight and Elena met us at the apartment. I wouldn't categorize the apartment as spacious but it was comfortable and certainly big enough for the two of us. The balcony has a great view overlooking the park and Castle although it is quite small. You could walk to most of the main tourist attractions in 25 minutes or less. The Vatican for example is a 10-15 minute walk. There were lots of nice dining establishments within a few blocks and the kitchen was very well equipped for cooking. I was a little surprised when I got an email the night before we were leaving asking when we were vacating the apartment because they had an 11AM arrival. We packed up to provide them the apartment at 10AM and Elena put our luggage in their apartment for us to pick up at noon. She also arranged a taxi to the train station.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: thank u for your review, i am glad that everything was clean and working regarding your check out, like any hotels/holiday houses our check out time is 10,30 am, and i need to make sure that guests will do that, in order to make your arrival comfortable like u did as well at your arrival in fact we are lucky enough to be able to store guests luggage in case of late check out even for many hours as we live in the apartment beside, so this is a plus for anyone. regarding the apartment, the description is quite accurate as it is a 50 square meters apartment with balcony, of course if u want a bigger outer space u need a terrace! hope u come back soon!

My husband and I made Rome our first stop on a vacation celebrating his 60th birthday. We found Silvio's apartment to be everything he described...and even better. We loved the location in a leafy residential neighborhood which was easy walking distance across the river to the center of the historic district. We were able to walk everywhere including to the Galeria Borghese, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, etc. Also, we were right near Vatican City so were able to gain early access to the Vatican Museum and St. Peter Basilica. The apartment is located in a neighborhood with lots of restaurants and shops...We found a fun place for coffee and pastries and ate our first dinner at La Locanda (sp?) just down the street (delicious homey food and a very lovely owner). The apartment itself was roomy, clean, and had plenty of space to store/put things. We loved the small terrace overlooking Castel St. Angelo. It also overlooks a busy street, but fun to watch the Roman world go by. Closing the windows at night was very effective in keeping the sound to a minimum. The apartment was in a very beautiful, old building, and everything in the apartment was modern and refurbished. We appreciated the WiFi and the laptop. We also really appreciated Silvio's assistant (I apologize, I can't remember her name right now) who introduced us to the apartment and helped us get in the first night when we locked ourselves out! I have already told friends and family about Silvio's apartment; he made it very easy to rent, and was available for anything we needed. Thank-you for making our first trip to Rome so comfortable. We will return!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I just returned from a trip to Rome. We stayed at this apartment with my family (2 adults, 2 children). We absolutely loved the apartment and its location. Apartment was even better than we expected (in pictures it looks not so cosy as it is in reality). It is fully equipped. It was also really clean, what is really important to me. I usually prefer renting a room in hotel, because quite often, when I rent a flat, it is not very clean. The balcony and view from it was fantastic. I loved to drink my tea every morning and enjoying a park view. The apartment is near a very busy street, but you can't feel it, because it has good windows. When you close them, you can't hear a noise in apartment. Location is very good. It is quite, very near from Vatican and not far from Rome historic center. We could easily walk every where. I liked that there live a lot of locals and there are not very much tourists. There are nice restaurants with reasonable prices and tasty food. The owner of the apartment is also really helpful, nice and pleasant person. Next time I would definitely choose this apartment.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

This apt was awesome. Owner Silvio was wonderful and very helpful with any request. Close to everything you needed and within walking distance to all major sites. We leave tomorrow for Sorrento and just by chance, and showing we live in a small world, both of the VRBO agents know each other. I would reccomend this apt to anyone. Travelled with my daughter and 4 yr old granddaughter. Silvio was impecable, aways giving me the details on time and all the attention to everything be flawless, he arrange even a driver to pick us from the airport, Tulio, an amazing guy! Elena was waiting for us on the building and was very sweet and helpfull, showing all the detail. We stayed at Silvio's apartment for 9 days and found his accomodations excellent. The apartment was clean and attractive, with a nice view of Castel Sant Angelo. The apartment is literally across the street from Castel Sant Angelo, and for us the location was ideal, allowing us access to St. Peter's Square, and also easy access to the old City. The apartment is nicely decorated and was a welcome place to return after a day out and about in the City. Silvio also arranged transportation to and from the airport for us, which helped us avoid having to worry about those arrangements. We would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Enjoyed 3 weeks at the Sant' Angelo apartment. Although I didn't require much assistance Sivio contacted me regularly to be sure everything was in order. The apartment has every amenity needed. It is in a convenient location for walking into the Centro or taking either a bus or Metro. Many markets, shops and stores within 5-10 minutes walk. The mattress is outstanding.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Apartment: We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids (ages 5 and 2). The apartment was perfect for our needs. Clean. Affordable. Room for the kids to move around. Great location, Location, Location. Easy walking access to most sites in town (Vatican, St. Peter's Basilica, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and so much more) . Hop on Hop off buses had pick up locations just a couple of blocks away, which made getting over to the Ancient Rome side of the city much easier. Host: Silvio, the host, was extremely friendly and was very helpful with information and some arrangements. A true gentlemen. City: Wish we never had to leave Rome. Such a wonderful and amazing city.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

It was a great experience to stay at Angel's apt. Silvio is a fantastic host and he helped me with all my requests and doubts about the city. When I come back to Rome I am definitely staying in this apt again. The location is perfect, very central to everything and very safe as well. Slivio left a booklet with restaurant recommendations, pharmacy locations and everything that you may need during your stay. The apt is very clean and has a beautiful balcony, perfect for a glass of wine to unwind the day. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a great experience in Rome.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

My friend and I traveled Italy in July - the busiest month. This apartment was one of the best we were in. Location was great, very safe, very quiet, and the service was fantastic. Since we were two friends traveling, they set up the pull out couch for us, which was surprisingly comfortable. The owner also gave us great recommendations on gelato, food, sites, and getting around. The house keeper is also incredibly close if you need anything done. WIFI was safe and strong. Apartment has nice modern feel. We will both stay there again if we go back!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I stayed in the Sant'Angel apartment for a week in May. Silvio was the best - he really took care of all my needs! The day I arrived, he furnished me with multiple maps of the neighborhood and tips for restaurants, gelaterias, etc. The next day, he emailed to check in an make sure everything was okay. I mentioned that I could use more hangers (for clothing) and they were in the apartment within the hour. Later in the week, I emailed Silvio for a recommendation for a travel agent for an upcoming trip and he referred me to one nearby - again, he responded within an hour of my contacting him. So, no matter which apartment of his you stay in, you'll be in good hands. The apartment itself was wonderful as well. Very large and modern compared to most places I've stayed in Europe (I've traveled throughout ten different countries). The bedroom has a queen sized bed with a really great mattress (I have horrible back issues, so that was so amazing to have). The living room is even nicer than what the pictures on the website show. There's also a kitchen with a refrigerator, dishwasher, and stovetop. The bathroom was large and clean. The neighborhood was great too - the apartment is right across the street from Castel Sant'Angelo and Piazza Adrianna. It is residential and quite safe - and still very close to all of the sights. I walked to Piazza Navona in about 10 minutes. You can't go wrong staying in one of Silvio's apartments - I plan to always stay in one of his places anytime I go back to Rome!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

After traveling from the Roma/Rome Airport to Napoli/Naples (by train), we drove along the Amafli Coast (through Castellammare - Sorrento - Pompeii - Positano - Amafli - Maiori - Minori - Salerno - to Paestum) - staying in Minori. Then we took the train to Venezia/Venice, Firenza/Florence, and ended up back in Roma. We had enjoyed nice accommodations, but were pleasantly surprised when we arrived the Sant' Angel Apartment on Via Crescenzio. The one-bedroom apartment, in the Prati area of Roma, was found as described and photographed. While it is located only 600 - 900 meters from St. Peters - and 100 meters from Castel Sant' Angelo, it is located in an older non-tourist residential area. There are nice stores, shops, and neighborhood restaurants nearby on Via Cola di Rienzo, and near the Palazzo di Giustiza (Italian Supreme Court). We found Silvio and Elena to be very friendly and helpful. The apartment has been remodeled, with a new bathroom, and new furniture and TVs. It is air-conditioned! It was very neat and clean. The small balcony was nice, looking over Castel Sant' Angelo. The apartment is close to public buses. On our last day, we walked from Via Crescenzio, across the Ponte Sant' Angelo, to Pizza Navona, touring churches and buildings along the way; then on to the Pantheon; then to Pizza Venezia, where we toured the Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II (and the Italian Tomb of the Unknown Soldier); and then onto the archeological areas of Ancient Roma (Campidoglio, Foro Romano, Palatino) and the Colosseo - maybe 10 kilometers (5 miles) in a straight line, but probably 15 km sightseeing. We took a bus back to the apartment. For our departure, Silvio arranged for a 0545 AM pickup at the apartment with Tullio Fadda (Noleggio con Conducente) to take us to the Roma Fiumicino Airport. Tulio was on time and provided an excellent service. If we were to return to Roma, I'd contact Silvio and sublet his apartment (my son and family will go next spring and they will lease from Silvio). It is a GREAT APARTMENT in a SUPER LOCATION.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This place worked out very well for us (a family of four with kids 10 and 7). Its location is great, overlooking the grounds of Sant Angelo Castle, walking distance from Vatican and less than 10 euro cab rides from Villa Borghese, Centro Storico, Ancinet Rome and Trastevere (although we ended up walking to most of these places). It is a residential neighborhood with good shopping and cafes. The apartment is clean, well-appointed and Silvio is a great host. He met us at the door and he was ready with a wealth if information. He was also easily accessible throughout our stay. I can think of only two negatives: (1) Traffic noise especially from the bedroom in the morning and (2) The pull out sofa in the living room is just OK for comfort. But neither of these deduct any meaningful points from my ratings. I would stay in this apartment again in a hearbeat.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: Hello! thank you for your review! and thank you for telling me the 2 aspects that u notice of my place. just to let you know that i am in the process of byuing a more comfortable sofa. and that thanks to your review i found out that a previuos guest has seriuosly damaged the window!! that is why in the bed room there was some noise. Yesterday i got it repaired, in the future will train the guests in closing this special window to avoid any problem. thanks again Silvio

The Angel's Home apartment was an excellent apartment for our family of five during our week's vacation in Rome while visiting our college-age son who is studying in Rome. It was close to the Vatican, and was easy to go to the heart of Rome area either by walking or using the metro. The apartment was very clean and exactly as advertised, with a great balcony overlooking San Angelo's Castle. Silvio was very responsive to our questions while we were planning our trip, and provided very helpful information about the attractions in the area. Everything was ready for us when we arrived, including transportation from the airport to the apartment which Silvio arranged for us, and again at the end of our stay to take us to the airport. Silvio is a very good host! We would defniitely rent this apartment again and would recommend it to others. Thanks, Silvio!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Upon arrival at Via Crescenzio you will be greeted by a pair of massive wooden doors. They are three panel doors with some nice carvings located near the top and the top is approximately 14 feet high. When the doors open you will be in the main entryway. It is trimmed in decorative plaster, nero, giallo and carrara marble and contains 3 sets of double French doors with beveled glass and matching glass transoms. The doors in the center lead to a courtyard that would be beautiful in the summer and the ones on the left lead to the elevator. The elevator “shaft” with wrapping stairwell is decorative forged steel with wooden hand rails, carrara marble steps, risers and landings. The walls are plaster (nice trim work at the top) with giallo marble panels and nero marble base molding. It is a good example of fine marble work. The wall panels are rounded over at the corners (with no visible seam) and curved up to meet the Carrara marble window seals. Just left out of the elevator at the end of the hall is Silvio’s apartment and it also has two large raised panel double doors (2’ by 8’). When you enter, you will be greeted by herringbone wood floors, plaster walls and one of the better jobs of real Venetian plaster I have seen (the stuff that looks like metal in the pictures). There is plenty of space and the pictures on his page detail the rest of the apartment well. The bathroom is actually prettier than the pictures with its green slate and upscale faucets. The shower is small, so don’t drop the soap. The balcony is perfect for smokers. It has a great view of Castle St Angelo and for once it was nice to have to smoke outside. (My wife and I had a blast every evening watching the "races" from the balcony. There is a hairpin curve on the corner below the balcony and the tiny, tiny cars would dive into the corner, down shift and acelerate out of the corner, all on about 50 horsepower.) All the appliances worked well, the internet was easily accessible and there were plenty of pots and pans to cook with. The only drawback was that it was so quite at night, we had to crack a window open to hear the city. There is nothing better than waking up in the middle of the night and realizing you are in ROMA. We wanted to book it again for this November but he has it rented from mid September to the end of November. My wife was sick that we didn’t get it. We will stay there again and it will always be our first choice.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Merci Silvio!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My mother and I stayed here for six nights in July 2011, and had a wonderful stay! The apartment is clean, bright and spacious, and contains everything one needs to feel at home. It was just what we expected from the listing. The elevator comes in handy after a long day of sightseeing! We particularly enjoyed the view of the pines and Castel Sant'Angelo, and ended every evening by relaxing on the balcony with a glass of wine! The windows are well sound proofed so the street noise did not disturb our sleep at all. The free wifi was great. We never managed to get the air conditioning to work. (The green light showed as "on", but we felt no difference in room temp. I suspect we simply weren't operating it properly, since we don't use A/C at home. In any case, it wasn't an issue for us, but might be for some.) We found the location perfect, close enough to metro stations and bus stops, but also within walking distance to sights such as the Pantheon, Piazza del Popolo and the Vatican museum. And it is lovely to stroll in the shade along the river. There are also lots of shops, restaurants and supermarkets close by. We especially liked Raf restaurant on via Plinio. We would certainly stay here again.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

The location for this apartment is phenomenal. It is within sight range of the Castel St Angelo. You can see one of the towers from the balcony, and the moat and park that surrounds the castle is right across the street. Walking to St. Peters and all the buses and taxis that stop in front of St Peters is right around the corner, and the Vatican museums were a short walk right up the street. There is also a big shopping street nearby which has restaurants that are nicer than the standard toursit restaurants surrounding the Vatican. Even though we didn't spend much time inside the apartment it was very nice. It had a large, modern bathroom with a big waterfall shower with lots of hot water and great water pressure. The apartment also had a clothes washing machine which came in very handy. It was very spacious and had a fold out bed in the living room and a master bedroom with a king bed. There were televisions in both living room and bedroom, though we never got around to using those. The owner and caretaker, Silvio, was immensely helpful to us with trip planning and during the trip also. He was very easy to reach and provided lots of helpful guidance.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your review! happy life to you!

When I first decided to rent an apartment I was really scared. We arrived in Rome and took a taxi to the apartment and we were greeted by Silvio. I was with my husband and three children and he waited patiently for us to get it together. The first thing I noticed was the area was great and the apartment entrance had these beautiful huge doors. The elevator was the old fashioned pulley style and the kids loved it. The apartment opens with a code and I felt really safe. Inside was also really nice and clean, dishwasher, washing machine, clean kitchen, the things you need when traveling. Also the grocery store, shopping, gelato was 2-3 blocks away in a safe neighborhood. Also Silvio hooked up a computer with Internet, got us a Rome tour book, helped book Vatican tickets, and called a taxi when we left. From a mom and woman’s perspective I would recommend this apartment to anyone.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

The apartment was perfect for us and we would highly recommend it to to others. Silvio is a great host - very helpful, welcoming, understanding and knowledgeable about Rome - he really went out of his way to help us make the most of our stay. As a young couple we wanted to stay in a nice apartment in a good location with a balcony & wifi - we certainly got it! The apartment is in a perfect location - just 10 minutes walk from 2 metro stations, 5-10 minutes walk to the Vatican, with lots of nice shops less than 10minutes away on foot. The view from the balcony overlooks the park next to Castel Sant'Angelo and gets the sun all through the morning/afternoon, great for enjoying a nice glass of wine and soaking up the atmosphere. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Silvio's apartment to others and when we return to Rome in the future we will definitely try to make another reservation here.Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Loved our stay! The host was extremely helpful from day one and answered all of our questions by email very quickly and even sent us a welcome guide (with directions to the apartment, local attractions, etc) prior to arrival. He met us right outside of the apartment at the scheduled time and then stayed with us in the apartment to show us how everything works (locks, air conditioning, washing machine). He even offered to walk us to the local grocery store so that we could find it. The pictures posted of the apartment are very accurate. The apartment is modern, but cozy and was very spacious for the two of us. And clean! The Vatican is only a 15 min walk away and there are plenty of good restaurants and bars nearby. There is also a metro stop, about 15 min away, that will take you to the other side of town very quickly. Don't hesitate, just book it!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I stayed at Angel Home with 3 friends and we couldn't fault the apartment. The location was great, near to the vatican in a more residential area but still close enough to walk to the main tourist attractions. The apartment was safe, secure and had all everything we needed (including wi-fi that was faster than at home!) The owner Silvio was extremely helpful and contactable by text if we needed anything ie taxi etc. and yet was respectful of our privacy. I would recommend Angel Home to anyone going to Rome and would stay again myself if I returned. 10/10Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The apartment was in a perfect location - overlooking a park where the view can be enjoyed while having a morning coffee on the balcony! Amenities added to the luxury feel of the apartment! Very spacious! Tastfully decorated and kept well! Silvio assisted our stay by providing a detailed map of supermarkets, pharmacies nearby. Also was helpful in recommending places to eat and visit. Would highly recommend!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This apartment was exactley what we were looking for. It had all the amenities, was very clean and spacious. The location allowed us to walk to the Vatican and the ruins of old Rome. Plus it had a lift, which we were very thankful for, with our luggage. Silvio is a very attentive and gracious host. He met us at the apartment, his presence reduced our cab fare from the train station from 35 euros to 15 euros,(shame on the taxi driver, beware). He also arranged our return to the station with a limo service, and then surprised us by taking us himself, as he was going there anyway. Thank you Silvio! We would definitely stay there again. It was the perfect start to our holiday in Italy.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I stayed here with my daughter in May of 2011 and enjoyed the location and the apartment. We felt safe and that was very important to us. It truly is located within walking distance to all of the Vatican sites and if you are up for a lot of walking, you can also walk to most of Rome.....we did. I would recommend this apartment to any one of any age.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
