Peace! Quite! Comfort! Relaxation!
Peace! Quite! Comfort! Relaxation!
This home is oozing character and charm. The wood-burning stove in the dining room is a great to warm up after a day of hiking or skiing nearby. It is a quite home in a small town, but there are full-service grocery stores in nearby Salida and Canon City. You’ll have to go through one of those towns on your way to this lovely home, so don’t forget to grab the steak to throw on the charcoal grill. You can hear the river rushing over the rocks in the Arkansas River which makes the setting even more tranquil. Eating blueberries for breakfast on the brick-paver patio is a must!

Break from Afghanistan
Break from Afghanistan
We wanted a quiet place for our family to enjoy while my husband was home from Afghanistan on a short break. This property was perfect! With three 20-something young adults and grandma, we all had plenty of space. It is quaint and tastefully decorated, very clean, plus everything you need if you want to cook your own meals. It is also very easy to find. We enjoyed rafting, hiking, 4-wheeling, shopping. and having coffee on the front porch in the morning. John, the owner, was extremely friendly and helpful. He was always available if we had any questions. We will definately be going back as soon as we get the chance.

Our extended family recently stayed at this property. It was clean and comfortable. A great location with the river close by and some facilities right across the road. It's a charming old property with a great ambiance. The owner was really accommodating and we greatly enjoyed our stay.
