Why stay in a hotel or condo and hear your noisy neighbors when you can have your own house with a beautiful fenced in private paved patio with a private entrance from the house. Drink coffee in your pajamas, take a shower 'au naturelle' in the outdoor hot/cold shower. The beach is one block away and a short walk even for those who don't like to walk! Surrounded by luxury hotels, this part of the beach on 9th street does not allow driving so it is safe and serene. This cute beach cottage is walking distance to all the fun restaurants and shops at the beach including Cafe 11, Sunset Grille, Panama Hatties, Mango Mango's and more. A short drive to historic downtown St. Augustine or the Alligator Farm, even Marineland. There is plenty to do in St. Augustine.
Decor: The house has been fully refurbished with all new appliances and furnishings in the spring of 2011. A new granite bar with barstools was installed to make the kitchen perfect for entertaining. An ice maker and microwave were added as well as new carpeting in the bedrooms and a new refrigerator and washer and dryer. This adorable beach cottage has everything you need for a fabulous stay at the beach including beach towels and chairs, a great Bose sound system inside and out,a comfortable pull out couch, flat Panel TV's in the MBR and living room and a lovely Pottery Barn decor.

This home was just lovely and so close to the beach!! It literally was just a few minutes walk straight to the ocean. The place was very clean and cozy and nicely decorated. We loved the outdoor patio and being able to use the outdoor shower after being at the beach. The owners even have umbrellas and beach chairs and all sorts of things for your use in a storage area outside. We didn't do much cooking because we were sampling local fare, but the kitchen was really nice. We'd love to come back again! Three of us stayed here 1-2-12 to 1-7-12 for a much needed break after the holidays. The house is just delightful. Just a short walk to the beach, near attractions in St. Augustine, near grocery stores and restaurants. It is hard to get all the amenities in the photos, we had everything we needed and more. The kitchen is fully equipped. Patio has a gas grill and plenty of seating areas. I think I tried each chair and lounger. Plenty of room to sit and chat or enjoy some alone time. Mimi was very helpful and easy to reach, it was a last minute decision to make the trip to St. Augustine and she worked out the details with me very quickly. I was very comfortable here and it is on the top of my list for "Places I want to stay again and again". Thank you Mimi for sharing your house with us and returning my security deposit so quickly. .Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Firstly I would like to thank Mimi for a fantastic stay at her lovely cottage! When I arrived, this cottage was extremely clean! The patio was a lovely place to sit. It was sheltered from the wind and has a great fire pit. I bought a log or two and enjoyed it on the cooler evenings! Also, the porch has outdoor speakers and lights all around so it is well lit. There is also a gas grill that works great. The kitchen has nice appliances and I felt comfortable cooking as the kitchen was fully stocked. Also the laundry facilities are more than adequate. There are lots of beach towels and chairs for the beach. And the beach is no more than a 2 minute walk. Across the street is the Best Western. Initially I was concerned that there would be noise from the hotel however I was very wrong! Not one time did I even notice the hotel was there! There was never any noise coming from it and the street is very nice and quiet. Also, everything is within a short distance! Publix, CVS, beach, many restaurants (cafe 11 is my favorite and mangos mangos too), rental shops for water sports/bikes and shopping is all really close! The beds are great! The tv's are also flat screen with internet to view netflicks and use pandora. Overall I would come back her and stay here in a minute. Although I stayed here alone, with the two bathrooms, it very comfortably could sleep 4+. The decor is very beachy and I enjoyed it. Thank you to Mimi again.Did you find this review helpful? This pink cottage is a great little spot from which to enjoy the beach and scene of St. Augustine. The house is in great shape with a well stocked kitchen and great outside patio. It is a nice quiet location and a very short walk to the beach. Lots of fun restaurants nearby and everything else that you need. The pictures reflect this home accurately. We had a wonderful stay and would love to return next year. This home is in a great location - shopping, beach, activities, etc. The property was very clean and had everything you would need. We recently stayed at this house and it was wonderful! The beach is about 2 blks away, very walkable. There is also a public parking lot w/beach access a blk away and another near the pier about 7 blks away. The house was clean w/tasteful and tranquil decorating. The outdoor patio area is lovely, too. Although the house was across the street from a hotel parking lot, it was very quiet. I found the owner to be honest and easy to work with. Would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We had a Flagler College Alumni girl's weekend getaway and stayed at this adorable beach bungalow. It was not only perfectly decorated in beachy, serene decor but was also just painted and had new carpet too. The place was a haven for all of us. We enjoyed it so much that we are planning our next trip back. The beach is only a block away and the shoppes, salon and restaurants are also walking distance. The beach bungalow is the perfect get away spot for anyone. Our group would highly recommend this cottage to others. It also has a incredible paved backyard where we shared lot's of laughs and vino under the twinkle lights and stars. It is a return destination for sure!!! This house is perfect in so many ways! The decor is fresh and adorably beachy. The beds are comfy and the huge back patio is the perfect place to kick back in the evening. We loved walking over to the beautiful beach and the nearby shops and restaurants every day. Not one complaint! We will definitely be back! =)Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.
