  This home has everything it needs to vacation with a family. Every room is beautiful and comfortable. The view from the deck is absolutely amazing. We can't imagine a better place to relax - we could just sit there and watch the view change in front of our eyes. It has the best of all worlds - close enough to Waynesville to shop and dine, and far enough away to enjoy peaceful seclusion and nature. It has everything needed to cook a meal, and enough to keep the kids busy as well. We did alot of hiking on the trails off of Blue Ridge Parkway while we were here - so it was a wonderful place to go back to in the evenings! We would definately recommend this home to our family and friends.

  This home is beautiful, obviously well cared-for by a thoughtful owner, and appointed with everything you'll need for a perfect vacation. The decor is attractive without being fussy. The mountain views are breathtaking and change each morning depending on the weather. When you step outside the home, you have complete peace and solitude. The flat homesite (rare in mountain properties), nearby stream, and acres upon acres of forest to hike and explore make this the place perfect for families with nature-loving children. You can easily mountain bike directly from the property, although you should be prepared for steep inclines - not a problem for the adults in the crowd, but not quite suitable for youngsters. We also appreciated the collection of books in the upstairs bookcase - excellent variety and quality. Our four year-old devoured the picture books, thoughtfully placed on the lower shelves. It's a great place to read and unplug, but it was also a lifesaver to have WiFi access when we [reluctantly] needed to connect with the outside world. And if you are not a pet-friendly renter, you wouldn't even notice that this was a pet-friendly property - it is immaculate. We have rented many homes in the NC mountains and beaches, and none have compared to this. In fact, I don't think we've ever been inspired to write a review before. But this home and its owners deserve it.

  The previously written reviews are all true...this home is even better than described. The views from every room are breathtaking and ever changing. The furnishings are well-appointed and stylish. The town of Waynesville is great for dining and shopping. The location overall is central to many WNC activities. Our only regret was having to leave.

  Our Christmas vacation was everything I had hoped for and more. We did not have a white Christmas but it did snow our last day there. It was beautiful. The house was absolutely beautiful, better than the pictures. The house has every ammenity you can think of. The kitchen is a chefs dream. Top of the line appliances and every cooking utensil you can imagine. We had everything we needed to cook Christmas dinner. One of my favorite things in the house is the heated tile floors in the bathroom. Everything in the home is top quality.The fire pit was great too. We enjoyed evenings making fires and smores. Definitely need a 4 wheel drive or AWD vehicle. My kids thought it was fun driving up and down the mountain. David was awesome! Very accomodating and accessible. He always answered his phone or called right back. Waynesville is a lovely town, lots of good places to eat and lots of shopping. Skiing is very close too. We loved staying here, definitely will be back.

  We just had a fabulous week's stay at this gorgeous house. Truly, the pictures don't do it justice! The first morning we literally woke up to the "arial" view of the mountains in the clouds, as pictured. It felt like Christmas morning, we were so excited about the view. We felt that way every morning, as well as every night! The kitchen is beautiful with every upscale amenity you can imagine. The bedrooms are exceptionally well decorated and comfortable. The main area is comfortable and warm with a fireplace and inviting furniture to relax on.The owners have spared no expense in decorating and supplying their guests with every comfort. We really appreciated that the house is spacious and when you want some alone time, there's the quiet and peaceful screened in porch with its own fireplace, or the small room off the main room with doors we used as a music room for the banjo player. There's the very inviting fire pit outside that was perfect for enjoying the warm sun on a chilly fall day. And the downstairs is perfect for videos or working out in the fitness room. Some of our favorite hiking trails weren't far away and of course, driving into Waynesville for shopping or dinner at night was extremely easy. We would definitely agree with the owner's recommendation of using an SUV or cross-SUV with 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive with a higher base for the country road up to the house. Or for driving to area hiking trails that might be off a main highway. We found leasing our Dodge Durango very helpful. This house was so much more than we expected and in fact, we've already booked it again for next year!

  This was the perfect choice for our fall vacation this year. The home & property are beautiful. As nice as the photos are here, they just don't do it justice. Waynesville is great town too, with plenty of shops and stores.The Blue Ridge Parkway isn't far either. I recommend this place without hesitation.

  This house is beautiful and very comfortable to stay in. You will have more room than you need. We enjoyed the screened porch and deck. There is a wonderful fire pit and grill that we didn't get a chance to use. David couldn't be more accommodating. The granite counter tops and the tiger eye floors were just beautiful. The view was spectacular. We saw a lot of wildlife while we stayed there. I would highly recommend this place. The road is gravel, narrow with steep inclines and sharp curves, but if you can take it, it is well worth getting to the top of the mountain. It is very cool and comfortable during the summer.

  We just returned from a week stay at this beautiful property and would highly recommend this rental to others visiting the area. The home was extremely clean and well-maintained, and David was very great to work with and very accommodating. The house has everything you would need and more. A magnificent kitchen with great appliances and dishes. A basement with a video library, Wii and tons of games and lots of books to read during your stay. Our entire family felt right at home and the view was stunning! During our stay we visited several other small towns in the area and have to say we were convinced that we definitely picked the right town and house for our vacation. Waynesville has a charming and lively downtown area but also has a great selection of grocery stores. We stayed over the 4th of July and had quite a spectacular firework show from the deck. We would certainly recommend this house and town to all our friends!

  This is an awesome place. Every morning we got up just to see what the valley looked like. Each morning was a different experience and it was incredible. Never seen anything like it and we have been going to the Asheville area for 8 years now. The home itself is in excellent condition and shows none of the traditional traits of a rental home. There's plenty of room and opportunity for privacy. It's a bit of a hike up the mountain but well worth it. You can't get this experience in town.
