This is a terrific place!
This is a terrific place!
My family and I had a wonderful time visiting Chautauqua and it is now on our agenda every year. The condo is beautiful and very comfortable for a family or for two couples sharing. The location is close to the bus which we took all over the "grounds" as they describe the Chautauqua Institution. However, Chautauqua is compact enough that you can walk anyplace you choose, along the lake or through quaint streets that remind you of your grandmother's time. Every time we visit we are transported out of the stresses of our busy lives, and totally unwind, and I personally make sure I bring lots of bnooks and suncream so that I can totally relax and recharge. We visited during the summer season and found with so many choices of things to do we had to be disciplined and not get too much on our plates. Every morning we attended the lecture at the Amphitheater and never missed the concert, ballet or other event each night. But there was a lot more going on too to choose from. We were pleased that this condo is so well equipped because most meals we prepared and ate right there on our porch. There is a Farmer's Market at the main gate and local farms are a good source for all the fresh vegetables and fruits you want, with a main atraction being the farmhouse baked pies. We took our children and they made some new "best friends" at the Boys and Girl's Club. As we left they had already made plans to keep in touch during the school year and meet next summer at Chautauqua. I can't say enough good things about our Chautuauqua experience and how well the condo worked for us. We have friends planning to come too, so we will certainly fill up neighboring condos too (if we can find any available!)
