This cozy waterfront home offers a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere that is perfect for a romantic get-away or family outing. Its charming living room has a large fireplace, and breathtaking views of the Olympic Mountains and beautiful Hood Canal. There are also great views of the water from the kitchen, dining area and bedrooms. The kitchen is outfitted with everything a gourmet cook will need. The large deck is great place to watch the sunset after a busy day of boating, crabbing or fishing.
The private pebble beach offers plenty of room to relax, swim, fish, sunbathe or look for shells, starfish and interesting rocks. And there’s nothing like a crackling fire on the beach for grilling oysters, cooking s’mores and just having great family conversations. Dungeness Crab are just offshore and, with proper licensing, you can use the row boat and crab pots to harvest them. There is a mooring buoy to keep your boat just beyond the low tide line.
This home is decorated with unique nautical antiques, comfortable furniture and great beds. Nearby (two miles) historic Seabeck has a great country store, expresso shop, café, gift shop and marina. You will find even more in Silverdale (15 minutes) including a shopping mall, many restaurants, cinemas, antique ships and much more.

We really enjoyed Seabeck shores. The place was exactly as portrayed and even though the weather was not great we found it comfortable with plenty of room. For us the view of the Olympic mountains was special. The house was well maintained and we just walked in and every thing we needed was there. I would recommend this place to my friends.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, age 55+.

My husband and I desperately needed a quick getaway for our anniversary and from the hustle and bustle of our lives in Seattle. This Hood Canal home was great. The description was accurate with regards to the location and the home. This is not a mansion on the water, but it is a comfortable home with plenty of space on steps from the canal. There is an ample patio and everything you can need in the kitchen to do your own cooking if you wish. This is a somewhat isolated location, so make sure you bring what you need in with you, because you may not want to leave to go get it. The little town of Seabeck is cute, but does not have a tremendous amount to offer. The natural beauty of the area is unsurpassed and this is what we came to the area for. If this is what you are looking for, then you have found your place! The owner is helpful and responsive. Our best meal was from oysters we "caught" on the beach in the back and had on the half shell. If this is your thing, this is your rental.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, age 55+.

I would stay at this house a hundred times over again! It was the most perfect beach house, right on the water with crazy gorgeous views of mountains and water. We had absolutely everything we needed. The house was larger than I anticipated, my kids found an abundance of cool toys in the basement that they LOVED playing with, beach access was ideal, beds comfortable, plenty of outdoor seating for lounging, playing games and making crafts, two boats, fire pit on the beach, friendly neighbors...I could go on and on. The only suggestion I have is to put more photos on vrbo to show off the house and beach!!! We saw two deer in the front yard on our last night here- this was special for us as we hope to see deer on every island vacation and now we have! The home is not luxurious but we were not looking for luxurious. It was perfect for us- two parents/two kids/one dog- but we would come back with family and friends for certain because there was so much room. We just sent our oldest son off to college right before our stay so I was a little stressed out. I was able to relax and enjoy the serenity of the surroundings.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, pet owners, families with young children, age 55+.

This was the perfect house for our family, we didn't want to leave! We had our bedroom upstairs with the amazing view of the water and our 4 kiddos LOVED the entire basement for themselves. Early morning coffee with the amazing view.....ah heaven! Every appliance, plate, pot, pan you could ever need. The seashore decor was warm and fun! Clams just a couple steps from the deck and s'mores at the firepit. Perfect vacation! We will be back! Next time for a week!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Thanks Don & Kristin. Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to having you as our guests again. Mike & Kelly

We absolutely love this location, home and surroundings. Coming from Spokane, where there is an abundance of wildlife, we were pleasantly surprised by the beach - starfish, oysters and the wildlife - deer at the front door and hummingbirds buzzing by at all hours of the day. We had a great day exploring Poulbo and Silverdale. The fireplace on the main level provides a makes the living room very cozy. We enjoyed the beach fire too! Thanks again!Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, age 55+.

We decided to escape with friends to say farewell to 2011 and welcome the New Year. We really loved the location and the house. The views from the deck of the mountains and the canal are stunning. You can't beat finding oysters right in front of the house at low tide. There is a great fireplace in the living room, and the fireplace insert in the basement warms the house up nicely as well. The property is adjacent to a beautiful wooded state park. The beds were very comfortable, and the home is well appointed. We appreciated the ease of making arrangements with the owners. If you are considering an escape to a serene escape, we highly recommend that you check this property out.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, age 55+.

Words will never adequately express how much we enjoyed the weekend at your cozy, charming & CLEAN cottage in Seabeck! It was spotless - fluffed & buffed - & very magical for us! We loved all of the personal touches & felt so relaxed & welcomed. Our favorite part were oysters collected on your beach & then cooked over an open fire. It was hard to leave. Thank you for everything!Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, pet owners, families with young children, age 55+.

I must travel all the way from Alabama, but I do it gladly to stay at this lovely quaint home on Seabeck. Everything you could possible need is at your fingertips. The view is spectacular, one morning we woke up to a double rainbow, and were mesmerized with the beauty of the gentle rising fog. It's so peaceful and comfortable, the owners have seen to every possible requirement. Take a walk on the beach, fish, crab, shop in one of the not to distant towns, sit out on the deck and enjoy your catch and a glass or two of wine. Watch the sun set or rise - your preference. Truly a lovely place and I can't wait to go again. Blessings, EBRecommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, age 55+.

We have decided to cut our stay short at your VRBO and leave on Thursday or Friday. My kids been sleeping on the upstairs couch (hid a bed is broken based on the note left on in the couch) and they do not want to sleep in the basement due to the smell. Also I feel like we are camping since kitchen is not very clean and we been cleaning and leaving dishes on the counters to reuse. My wife was suppose to come from Phoenix this week but I canceled her flight since she would be very upset with this situation (unhappy wife make thing even more miserable for me). I need to get a hotel at my next destination (we are heading to our next appointment much earlier which I hope that stay be a little more pleasant). We travel and stay at VRBOs and we have not encounter any big issues to date. Fact is your house is not ready, is not properly cleaned and some improvement needed (like having sleeping a proper arrangement, do something about a the smell in the basement, kitchen need cleaning and de-junked, etc.).Owner response: As seen by the rest of the positive comments, most guests have a great stay at our place in Seabeck. We have asked several people if they noticed any strong smells downstairs and, other than a mild older house smell, they really didn't notice any. We are in the process of replacing or fixing the upstairs sleeper sofa. Other than a few small crumbs in the silverware drawer, we really didn’t see any cleanliness issues in the cabinets but have had our housekeeper do a thorough cleaning of them nonetheless. This is our summer home that we rent our when not using it so there are a some extra items (tools, cleaners, spices, cooking oils, nick knacks, etc) in the house that most people find convenient but could be viewed as excess.

The senior staff of our company took a retreat here recently and it was perfect. Aside from all the amenities one would expect from a beautiful, beach front location in a quiet setting, Mike was helpful every step of the way with detailed information and ready to answer any questions in a second. I would advice you take him up on his suggestion of grilling some oysters on an open-fire-on-the-beach grill with some butter and garlic. Made the weekend.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, age 55+.
