Incredibly beautiful! Amazing place...

My wife and I had a fantastic week here and we're already looking forward to coming back. The house is multi-level with tons of space for privacy if you have a large group. The setting is incredible, and the house is set up to take great advantage of the views of the lake, the mountains, and the sunsets. Huge windows and views from every room, and tons of space on the patio and deck outside. It's close enough to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway for daytrips - we went hiking on the trails throughout the Parkway almost every day and were back home in time to jump into the lake for late afternoon swims and hanging out on the dock by the water. Would be a great house for large or small families or for groups of friends. Between all of the possible outdoor activities and the tranquil hang-out space, there's something to do for people of all ages or interests. We're looking forward to coming back soon!

This is a truly gorgeous property. With views of the lake and the Blue Ridge mountains beyond, sunsets (and one glorious early morning full moon-set) are spectacular. This house is so thoughtfully constructed--inside and out--and would be perfect for a family or multi-family getaway. There is a large living room downstairs with a large TV and couches, pool table, games, etc. that is a great hang-out space for kids (young and old). The living area upstairs is wonderful for lighting a fire and settling in with a good bottle of wine. We loved spending sunny spring afternoons on the upper deck of the dock, reading and listening to music. We even jumped in the water which was chilly in April but not too bad!! Overall a fabulous property and the perfect place to unplug and unwind.

Thank you for letting us make ourselves at home in your lovely lake house! The weather was wonderful, the company was great, & the accommodations were perfect – a recipe for a wonderful One Year Anniversary celebration! We thoroughly enjoyed making homemade pizzas with your outdoor oven. We hope to find ourselves booking with you again in the future! Best regards, Kiera

Overall we loved our stay at this house, it is beautiful and extremely large and comfy. The downstairs living room has large cozy couches, ping pong (pool table) and TV. All of the beds are extremely comfy too, definitely can sleep 14. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you need, we cooked quite often. We stayed for a week and had a very relaxing time! The views are stunning from most anywhere in the house. The balcony is off one of the Master's but there is no privacy if someone comes in and you are in bed! (needs curtains) The stairs to the dock are a little steep in places which makes it a difficult climb for some (69 steps is what we counted, so be prepared.) Having to take the garbage to the dumpster is also a bit of a pain, we got lost the first time, needed better directions. No WIFI was a bummer but was still a good spot, we rented a boat and used it to go to the Bear Creek Marina & Restaurant which was right around the corner. I would recommend!
Owner response:Thank you so much for your review. Since renting our vacation home is new to us, we welcome your valuable input. A few of your concerns are valid by design. We never felt the need to cover the windows because our home is in such a private location that there is no one around to see you in the windows. Your surrounded by trees and sky and our only neighbors are night owls or our famous bald eagle. We also didn't want to cover up those spectacular views! In order to get those spectacular views from the house, we built the house up on a hill, which requires a longer path to the lake. We feel its a wonderful balance. I'm sorry you had trouble finding the neighborhood dumpster. It is kind of tucked away, again, by design, so it's not an eye sore for any home in the neighborhood. And lastly, no Wi-Fi is offered due to the homes remote location...plus we like it that way, it makes it easier to step away from all the technology in our world and allows us to feel like we are truly on a peaceful vacation! Thank you again for your review and we hope you come back again next year! The Finns

Exceeded All Expectations!

The house was spacious, beautiful, and immaculate, and had every amenity that you could imagine to accommodate our three families (10 people total). With five beds, the bunk room was perfect for sleeping several kids, while the adults relaxed in well-appointed master suites. With a ping-pong table, pool table, board games, puzzles, a corn hole set, video games, and of course the lake, there is no need to venture beyond Sunsets at the Point. We enjoyed the dock to its fullest - fishing, swimming, and relaxing in the evenings under the stars, enjoying our wine and listening to music streaming from the outdoor speakers. The house far exceeded all expectations!

This was a new, beautiful property! We were one of the first renters and we loved it. The house was absolutely gorgeous and the amenities and furnishings were first class! Plenty of room for both of our families and all the kids. We spent all day down on the dock watching the kids swim and jump on the water trampoline. We used the pizza oven and it was really a fun and interactive way to eat dinner. Nights were relaxing too...kids watched movies downstairs while the adults drank wine on the screened in sun porch! Just an awesome time!!!! We will be back again next summer,if not before, to see the leaves change in the fall!!!! Thank you for sharing your piece of heaven with us!
