I rented this beautiful custom home to host a women's retreat for a group of women from destinations across the US. I was looking for something SPECIAL - a 5 star mountain retreat with comfort and convenience - and found it here! First and foremost, the property and home are absolutely gorgeous and apportioned as you would expect in any resort area. From the Keurig to the beautiful art work to the fully stocked stone fireplace, there is no amenity missing. Everything we needed was there! The home is immaculately clean and all our specific needs were met upon arrival: snow removal, stocked firewood & kindling, as well as a surprise plate of homemade baked goods for our special visitors! The listing as you see it is completely accurate, but even the wonderful pictures online do not capture the welcoming feeling of this home and property! Minutes away from the quaint town of Thompson Falls, you have small town warmth and conveniences at your fingertips. However, the location of the property and its view allow you the sense of mountain solitude. I have planned a number of retreats for a discerning group of clients for years and found this Mountain Hideaway to be at the best location I have used for these events. This spot is perfect for a women's retreat, a wedding celebration, a home-away-from home visit to the mountains or even a romantic or family getaway. In addition to full services in Thompson Falls such as the fantastic Little Bear Ice Cream Parlor, Linda's Gifts, and the Belknap Market (with fresh produce and baked goods) just 10 miles down the road, it's easy to access historic Murray Idaho via ATV or auto via a designated scenic mountain road. For fun, the Naughty Pine Saloon down in Trout Creek (25 miles away) is the best destination for live music and great food - a must do! If you hunt, fish, hike, snowmobile, ATV, or want to go for a swim in a mountain lake, this is a perfect launch pad for all those activities. Jack, the hands-on owner, is FANTASTIC to work with! He was available to me throughout the booking process, made arrangements for our specific needs, and put me directly in touch with his on-site caretaker, Wendell.....who was a phone call away for all our needs. He takes pride in offering this beautiful home to his renters like a concierge in a hotel - he wants to ensure all your needs are met. You will not be disappointed! Enjoy!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I had an amazing time in Thompson Falls at this beautiful, spacious log cabin/house. The listing was quite accurate and the photos represented the lodging quite accurately. It was very clean and new. It feels like no one has stayed there before...that is a fantastic feeling! I have and will keep recommending this property. There are a few bars in town and one close to this property called the Wild Coyote Saloon that you have to visit!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

The most fabulous place to rent…breathtakingly beautiful, very spacious, immaculate home! We hosted a wedding rehearsal dinner for my son with 50+ people, plenty of room on the gorgeous deck. This home has a large modern kitchen with lots of room for food preparation and serving. The owner Jack did everything possible to ensure that our week long stay was perfect in every way. Thank you Jack for making my son’s wedding an even more special occasion with your kindness and attentiveness. I highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to stay in a spectacular home in a beautiful setting with gorgeous views. There is plenty of space inside and out to host a wedding.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Had an amazing, relaxing stay at this gorgeous log cabin house. So peaceful and quiet . The grounds are beautiful and it even snowed during our trip which made the surrounding backdrop lovely. Woke up to deer and elk munching on grass so we bought a bale of hay to get them even closer! The place is very roomy, top of the line beds, sheets, appliances, everything a city girl could need in the country. Can't wait to go in the late summer again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Everything about this house is first class. Its all new except for the antiques. The art, the stainless steel appliances, the quality of the big screen TV, blue ray DVD, the bedding, the mattresses and the furniture all give a top drawer feeling. Its a huge piece of property and we slept like babies. We saw lots of wildlife out the back door and the weather was perfect. The halls and baths and the master bedroom are handicapped accessible.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, romantic getaway.
