Unique CORNER condo offers beautiful direct Gulf Front panoramic views from East to West. The living room and master bedroom have sliding glass doors leading out to the large balcony, where you can enjoy views of the sugar white sands of the Gulf of Mexico. We are on the 8th floor, so the view at night can be a canopy of stars with moonlight reflecting off the waves.
Fun Features: Our 'zero entry' pool is REALLY LARGE and has a gentle grade! Ocean House 1 has a children's pool, perfect for the little ones. The gazebo provides shade plus a comfortable place to lounge with a good book or visit. It is a popular picnic area, and has wireless internet access. There are three BBQs, and you can grill while enjoying beautiful Gulf views. The grassy play area is right by the beach, and perfect for yard games. Bathrooms at ground floor level are appreciated by people enjoying the beach and pool.
Condo features:
The master bedroom has a comfortable king size bed, two chests of drawers, two night stands, a flat screen TV, DVD, and a VCR. It has a second window with a beautiful view of the Gulf. The second bedroom has pillow top double and a pillow top twin bed. It also has a window with a wonderful view of the Gulf. Both bedrooms have thick carpet. There is a flat screen TV with a built in DVD player.
The living room has a new queen size sofa sleeper, new rocker recliner (the best seat in the house!), and a new love seat. It has the same thick carpet, since kids love to sit on the floor to watch the flat screen TV or play with the toys (LEGOs, boxed games, picture puzzles, Twister, beanie babies). Check out the large library, with books for all ages to enjoy on the beach or balcony. We have satellite TV with HBO channels. There is wireless internet or bring your own cable.
The dining room has a large table with an extra leaf available for large families. There are four chairs at the table and three stools at the counter, or enjoy eating dinner out on the balcony.
The kitchen is well equipped for family meals, with lots of glassware, dishes, and pots and pans. One closet has a pantry and the other has the washer/dryer. It has ceramic tile. It has a a blender, coffee maker, toaster, can opener, and waffle iron.
Bathrooms: Master is split with the tub and toilet in one section and the sink and closet in another. Much more convenient! This bath has a hair dryer and a laundry basket, too. The beach chairs are stored in the closet.
The second bathroom has a shower along with the sink and toilet. Both have new light fixtures and cabinet knobs that are brushed nickel. Both have ceramic tile.
The balcony offers beautiful wide Gulf views. Relax with with a cup of coffee and watch the porpoises play, or enjoy a memorable sunrise or sunset. Our balcony has a table and four chairs (dinner with a view!), plus two reclining lounge chairs that are perfect for curling up with a book or taking a nap.
Building: Nine stories with only six condos per floor. Square footage: about 950. The entry to the building is covered, and luggage carts to conveniently unload your car.
Misc: We supply an ironing board and iron.
PLEASE NOTE: This is our home away from home, and is well maintained and comfortable. It is a place for a family to play, perfect for a group of ladies to enjoy time together at the beach, or a couple to have a romantic getaway. It is rental age restricted (over age 25). An responsible adult needs to be with young persons (college age and below) at all times.
HELPFUL INFO: Here is a brief checklist of items to assist in your packing or shopping:
Household: bathroom tissue, bath bars or liquid soap, shampoo, conditioner, hangers, laundry detergent, small wastebasket bags and a sponge.
Kitchen: condiments, staple items, aluminum foil, plastic wrap or baggies, napkins, paper towels, coffee and coffee filters, dishwasher detergent, hand dish washing liquid (good for dishes and swimsuits)
Beach: beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach towels. Families like noodles, surfboards, and floats. (During warm weather months we will often have floats on our balcony for you to enjoy in the pool. Personal care items: Sunscreen is very important as our sun is strong. A hat would be good, as would a pair of flip flops. In case you get 'sun kissed' Solarcaine or something similar is helpful.
The queen size sofa sleeper sheets will be in a bag (keeping them nice and clean) and sitting bedside the sofa.
Per Association rules, no pets are allowed. However Coastal Pet Resort 251-943-5448 offers boarding for pets.
Helpful info on payments:
*Reservation/damage deposit is $150, due within 5 days of the reservation. (After check out the housekeeper cleans and confirms the condo has no damage, our check for the deposit is sent promptly to you.)
*Half of the rent is due 60 days prior to your vacation. The balance is due 30 days before you head to Gulf Shores to play.
*For arrivals in less than 60 days, but more than 30: The deposit and advance payment are due within 5 days of the reservation, and the balance 30 days from the vacation date.
*Vacations within 30 days of arrival: deposit and full rental is due within five days of the reservation.

Complex has two gazebos, two kiddie pools, bathrooms on ground floor level convenient to pool and beach, and grassy area in each Gulf side yard for play.

- Handicapped Accessible (May Have Limitations) : Although Ocean House is not set up as a fully handicapped accessible building, those with knee or hip issues will find: Covered entryway to building has a sloped area so no 'stepping up' is needed. Elevator to the 8th floor. Condo is on one level. Shower in second bathroom and doorways to balconies have a small 'step over'. Pool is zero entry (gets deeper gradually with no ladder access required) and walkway to beach has no steps. We value our renters and their safety! Please watch your step and look out for children and their parents happily playing or damp concrete/tile that can get slippery.

Why the Owner Chose Ocean House IGulf Shores is a family friendly area offering beautiful sugar white sandy beaches, and within a comfortable driving distance from our home. We enjoy our vacations at the condo, and stress just soaks away in the pool. But when we want things to do, many things are close by in Gulf Shoes, Foley, Pensacola, or Mobile. All are within easy driving distance and offer a wide variety of activities. Restaurants are close by, and the fresh food is really good!
The Unique Benefits at this CondoWe are the ONLY TWO BEDROOM condo in the complex that is a corner unit. You get Direct Gulf views from the Living Room and Master bedroom. Both bedrooms have side windows for more Gulf Views, and also offer more privacy. (The other two bedroom units have windows on the hallway and have some restricted views of Little Lagoon.) One of the major reasons we bought Ocean House is the pool. It is 'zero entry', so you just walk right in, which is particularly nice for children and anyone with mobility 'issues'. You can sit in the water and visit or watch the kids play. I love this pool so much that I stay in it till I wrinkle. We liked that Ocean House has the shower at the pool deck and ground floor bathrooms conveniently located to the pool and the beach. The gazebo is a wonderful gathering place, a haven from the sun, and very close to the children's pool and play area. We like that we can walk from Ocean House to restaurants like DeSotos, Bahama Bobs, Pink Pony Pub, and Boudreau's Seafood. Pier 33 is close by for groceries, and there is a small place that serves Ice Cream. Within a short drive is Lulu's, Tacky Jacks, and many other popular restaurants. Wal Mart Supercenter and Bruno's are minutes away for your groceries. The public beach is about a mile away, which has hosted a number of concerts and we walk to the Shrimp Festival and the Mardi Gras parades. For a quiet evening, enjoy the balcony. Listen to the surf and star gaze. Very relaxing!

Tom and I work many hours, and need a place to relax. We thought that sunrise and sunset walks on a beautiful beach would be perfect. They have been, as you can see from the pictures! Our daughter has made us proud grandparents of twin boys, and we look forward to seeing the wonder on the babies faces when they play by the ocean for the first time!

My husband and I stayed with our two daughters (6 months and 2.5 years old) for a week. It was perfect! The kitchen had everything we needed. The washer and dryer was a great perk. The beds were very comfortable. The views were awesome. We saw dolphins from our balcony every morning. The pool was perfect for our young daughters with the zero entry, and the two kiddie pools were a huge plus as well. The beach was great though my older daughter preferred to be in the pool. Everyone was super nice - vacationers and workers. If we return to Gulf Shores, we will definitely be staying here again. We are so happy with our experience.

Stayed with my wife and two daughters (seven and ten) and had a great time.Condo was clean and set up very well. The kids loved there bedroom with it's own TV and all the board games.Kitchen had anything you need in it with lots of dishes.The view from the deck was great you could see the gulf and down the beach for miles.The condo pool was great, kids loved it when they were not on the beach. The owner were easy to deal with, they got my deposit back in five days. Can't wait to go back!!!!

Its one thing to say its a great place, its another to say why. The condo is 1.1 miles from the main highway where everything is located and easily accessed. The condo building only has about 50 units so the beach is not crowded like other we walked by that had much larger buildings. The condo is better equipped than any other I have seem, even down to the whistling tea kettle and the Domino's that our 15 and 16 year old boys were playing. (never thought I'd see that, I guess even teenages regress) The condo is well renter proofed so you don't have to worry so much. We stayed in Destin once and the condo had a couple of ornate pieces in the living room that I wanted to put away somewhere so I wouldn't be responsible. Debra is fantastic and easy to work with plus a great resource for information. You can't go wrong here, and we will be back! Todd

Our family vacationed here this year for Thanksgiving weekend. We had a great time. The views are awesome. The condo was extremely nice and well stocked. It was very quiet there. Deb was great to work with. We left on Sunday and she had our deposit in the mail to us on Monday. I would definitely recommend this condo to my friends and family. It was great to have 2 bdrms and 2 full baths.

My family and I spend the weekend at the condo to celebrate my brother-in-law's graduation from Columbia Southern University. The condo was excellent. It was beautiful, great location, and perfect size for my family. My family and I had a wonderful time sitting on the balacony, walking on the beach, watching the dolphins, and the sunset. My husband and I live in Gulf Shores and wanted my family to stay at the beach for the graduation celebration. We would definitely do this again.

We have come to Gulf Shores many times and stayed at various places, but feel this is the best so far. The decor and cleanliness was above average. There was more than the norm amount of dishes, utensils, small appliances, etc. We enjoyed the view from this cornor balcony. We were impressed with the owner's attentiveness to our needs and comfort. We ate out for dinner every night and especially like Desoto's and Original Oyster House. This will be our choice in the future if it is available at the time we need a condo at Gulf Shores.

September was a perfect time for a week in Gulf Shores. The condo was clean, and well maintained, even more attractive than the photos. Easy access, fast elevator, ample parking in a secure lot. The patio was ocean front with ample space to sit and watch the surf while having coffee or lunch. Dolphins made their way up and and down the waves, twice a day. We had every small appliance, plenty of kitchen equipment and even beach chairs. The beds are comfortable and bathrooms equipped with fluffy, thick towels. Patio doors from the bedroom and living room gave breathtaking views. The pool is huge and warm! There is a terrific gazebo area to sit if you want to get out of the sun for awhile. Also a nice picnic area with BBQ grills, but we chose to go out for dinner. One of your favorites is within walking distance, right down the beach, Bahama Bobs, with a lunch for $5.99, desert included. Their shrimp was the best we had. Another favorite restaurant is The Fish Camp, in Orange Beach. The beach rivals even the Caribbean..very clean, soft white sand and crystal clear water. Ocean house was quiet, with security and many friendly people. We would consider another vacation to this condo and maybe even bring our family! If you have time, consider a trip to Pensacola, only about 35-45 min up the coast to watch the Blue Angels practice, see the museum and light house.
