This house is indeed within walking distance to town. A bit of an uphill walk but it's Highlands after all and you can be on Main St enjoying the shopping and restaurants. Ample space for several couples and a well equipped kitchen provide an opportunity to buy goodies from Rosewood grocery and other purveyors. A babbling creek is at back of property and a deck with a grill are in plain sight. In fact this house has many outdoor dining options and a very fine gas grill. We were summer visitors but we still laid a log on the outdoor fire pit.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

This house is a delightful vacation get-away. We could walk to town, while at the house, we could languish on the deck listening to the creek in a lush, natural setting. Good house layout with central gathering places, but separate bedroom spaces for privacy. I definitely plan to return!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

This property was perfect for my family. We are 6 adults and 1 infant and all had plenty of space to play, relax, sleep, eat and have down time alone. It is exactly as billed and more. Lovely little screened in porch with bed for naps and reading tucked into the Rhododendron right by a babbling brook, tributary to Mirror Lake. By same brook there is a deck with seating and a fire pit for night time gatherings. We were attending a family wedding and did not have enough time to take advantage of all the cottage has to offer. I highly recommend a week long stay so you can take advantage of all the amenities, get to a couple of places in the short walk to town, and visit a few trails and waterfalls in the area. Loved the convenience for sure.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners.
Owner response: Thank you Leila, and I loved your wedding photos. Thank you for sharing.
