Why the Owner Chose Blue RidgeBlue Ridge is only 1 1/2 hours from Atlanta, but it is a world away! I love the cool summer days, and the cold and snowy winter days. I have always dreamed of owning a cabin in Blue Ridge, because it just melts away the stress the minute you walk through the doors. With so many fun things to do in the area, it is easy to fill every minute with things to do. Or just spend your time relaxing with a glass of wine on the deck while watching for deer.
The Unique Benefits at this CabinEnjoy a delicious meal at one of the fine restaurants in the quaint town of Blue Ridge, or pick apples in the Fall at Mercier's Orchards, only a few blocks away. Take a walk up the mountain road to the top of Sun Rock Mountain and see as far as the eye can see to the Cohutta National Forest in one direction, and the Orchards in the other. Or if you prefer, you can explore the 2.5 acres of woods in the backyard. Or sit by the fire pit on a cool evening and cook hot-dogs or marshmallows.

This was our first Christmas holiday family get-a-way. The cabin was perfect. It was very clean and everything was as we expected. The views were gorgeous. I loved the fact that we were close to Blue Ridge for shopping but we seemed like we were far away from everything when we were at the cabin. We would definitely recommend this to friends and family. In fact, I have already recommended it to everyone at work.

First, I would like to say how nice an experience it was to work with Wendy during our stay. We had to phone her a couple of times within our first hour there and even though it was during a work day, she called us back right away. The lodge is beautiful and had plenty of room for the six of us. The kitchen is very well equipped, we cooked every meal for almost four days and always had what we needed. Nice linens and plenty of extra pillows, blankets and throws. Waking up in the master bedroom to a long range view of the mountains was inspiring. What we liked most was the 2 story wall of glass, we go to the mountains for the views and this lodge did not disappoint. And what a perfect place to take tweens and teens with the downstairs bedrooms and game room! I forgot how many stars are in the night sky when you get away from the city. I hope that we can return next year!

When you first walk into this cabin, you are immediately greeted with large windows that display a beautiful view of the mountains! The beds are extremely comfortable, and the loft was wonderful for our two four year olds! They loved having their own little space! We even turned down the hot tub one afternoon so they could hop in. The best part was how quickly it reheated for the adults! The fire pit was cozy and, for such a small circle, man did it kick off some heat! Our toes were roasted in no time :) We will definitely be visiting Wendy's place again soon! Thanks Wendy!

The location and views were worth the trip! We had a great time at Wendy's cabin and the house was perfect for our family. We roasted marshmellows in the fire-pit and used the pool/air-hockey table daily. We highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a great place to stay close to downtown Blue Ridge. The extra-large windows allowed for wonderful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Thanks Wendy, for allowing our family the use of your special home.

Timberline Lodge is such a beautiful place. The pictures alone do not give true meaning. Attention to every detail that went into it along with the high vaulted ceilings and windows to the beautiful view are what sets it apart from others we've seen. The beautiful wood flooring to all the stone that was used in the massive fireplace, the fine furnishings that go along with it...It's truly 1st class. The gigantic deck, the adorable fire pit, and hot tub were other wonderful features to the cabin...Being outside and listening to the calming sounds of the wind in the trees and watching the mist of the clouds flowing thru your view are breathtaking. There is plenty to do at the cabin and the quaint little town of Blue Ridge is a very special place, we were only 5 minutes from town! Most of all the peacefulness and tranquality that you feel..Well, let's just say you can't put a price on that. We will surely be back, and will highly recommend your cabin to our friends and family. Wendy, Thank you again you we're so helpful throughout, and we thank you for sharing your home away from home with us. See you soon!

The only bad part of the entire stay was that we had to leave! We had a marvelous time in your beautiful log home! It was so nicely decorated and cozy. It was huge too - plenty of room for the entire group. We had 8 people in our group, but never felt like the place was tight. The beds were so comfortable and I slept like a baby. Peaceful and quite evenings and mornings, with plenty to do in the area in-between. And I love that we could stay an entire day on our last day! Time for coffee and a little more sight-seeing before we had to pack up - a very nice touch. Thanks for letting us stay in Timberline Lodge... we will be back for sure!
