Escape your normal life and relax with a week at our bright new Sandpoint Vacation condo. This 1240 square foot condo was purchased and furnished in the Spring of 2011. All the appliances, furnishings, and linens are brand new. We are very excited to use the condo ourselves, as well as to welcome our first guests this summer!

This two bedroom, two bathroom condo can comfortably sleep 6. The master bedroom has a very comfortable memory foam king bed, as well as a twin daybed with a twin trundle bed (both with memory foam toppers), so a family of 4 can sleep in the Master bedroom. The master bedroom also has a TV, a DVD player and an adjoining bathroom.

The second bedroom has two bedding options – it can be set up with two twin beds, or the beds can be converted into one king-sized bed for a couple. These beds also have memory foam toppers, so they are very comfortable for adults or children. There is also a queen-sized airbed available. Both bedrooms have IPOD docking clock radios.

The livingroom, kitchen and dining area are open-concept, and very bright, with vaulted ceilings and huge windows overlooking the Cabinet Mountain range. Relax in our cozy leather couches in front of the fireplace and watch a movie on the HDTV with Cable TV and DVD player. The mini stereo in the livingroom has an IPOD charging dock, and also has a line-in option for other mp3 players so you can listen to your own music.

We have a casual dining area, with a dining table for 4, and counter stools for 4 more. The kitchen is fully-stocked, with pots, pans, blender, coffee maker, popcorn maker, and enough spices and ingredients to get you started.

The patio is a lovely place for your morning coffee, or in the evening you can enjoy a barbeque supper and watch the sun set over the Cabinet mountains.

We have two kids ourselves so our vacation home is very child-friendly. We have a highchair, a playpen, baby bedding and a baby monitor for those travelling with young children. We also have plastic cups, plates, bowls, and sippy cups. There is a toybox filled with toys, and boardgames, books, and dvds for both children and adults.

Our condo doesn't come with a computer, but if you bring your own laptop there is a workstation with high speed wireless Internet and a printer you can use.

Our condo is a block away from the Sandpoint West Athletic Club and Travers park, which is a huge beautiful park with kids' play structures, tennis courts, a skateboard/ BMX park, and playing fields. Our home is just one block from an espresso stand, and a few blocks from the Pine Street Bakery. It is under a mile to the downtown shops and restaurants, and just beyond that is the wonderful park at City Beach. We are one mile from the Festival at Sandpoint, and 15 minutes to Schweitzer Mountain resort. Our condo is exactly 30 minutes away from the Silverwood theme park.

Sandpoint is the perfect town for a summer or winter vacation. This beautiful and friendly town is located on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille, and at the base of world-class Schweitzer mountain ski resort. It's a fantastic place to enjoy the great outdoors, with wonderful hiking, mountain biking, cycling, skiing, snowboarding, boating and whitewater opportunities just outside your doorstep, but it's also an enclave of arts, culture and fine dining. Sandpoint has many great festivals, including the Festival at Sandpoint, a summer concert series in August, the wooden boat festival in July, and the “Lost in the 50's” festival in May. The historical Panida Theatre in downtown Sandpoint is a community-owned center for cinema, theatre and music.

Sandpoint is just one hour south of the Canadian border, and one hour from the Spokane International Airport.

We do not require a damage deposit. Property damage insurance is included in the rate.

Excellent thank you. Everything you could hope for and more, well equipped kitchen, children's toys and games, washing machine, Internet, large comfortable beds, cozy log effect gas fire, covered parking, etc etc. also quiet but handy for town. So good I have booked for next year already! Sandpoint is a great friendly little town, good food, bars and its own winery! Looking forward to my next stay. Thank you.

Thanks to Kirsten and Kris for such a wonderful, comfortable place to stay! This bright and cheery condo was perfect for our family of 4 with two small boys. Kirsten thought of everything down to the baby gear including the portable bed, bedding, plastic kids dishes, the sippy cups and monitor! You could come with just your clothes and toiletries and everything else is here. We loved the huckleberry honey and the tea and coffee that was supplied along with all the condiments and spices, etc. The location is just a few minutes drive to downtown and just a five minute walk to a great park for the kids and tonnes of areas to walk. I would highly recommend this spacious accomodation! Thanks again!

We have a young family, 2 boys 3 & 5 and a great stay in this very nice condo! I have to say it was furnished with everything you could want, and more! Just a couple blocks away from the city beach, turn right out of the parking lot and walk 2 blocks to a great park! Close to Silverwood too, which was great! Our entire family can't wait to go back, and absolutely the condo made the trip such a huge success! Thank you so much for letting my family spend a week in your beautiful condo!!!

We stayed at the condo while our daughter participated in the Buddy Werner Championships. These races can be rather chaotic and it was SO wonderful to come "home" to a quiet, comfortable place to unwind. The condo is thoughtfully appointed and well laid out. We were able to hear the train in the distance but it was not close enough to be anything but atmospheric (not the case for some of our fellow team mates staying elsewhere). It is located an easy drive from the ski hill but with the advantage of being close to restaurants, grocery etc. We will definitely try and stay here when we head to Schweitzer again. I also appreciate that Kirsten was gracious and flexible when we had our plans change and had to change our dates.

The condo was fantastic! Thank you for sharing it with us. I have rented numerous condos/houses from sites like this, and your condo was by far the best stocked I have been in. Also the condo is much bigger than I was expecting based on the pictures.

the condo was above all expectations. We traveled to Sandpoint for an 8 day ski race event. After traveling 13 hours, it was a relief to step inside and feel like you had just arrived at home. The porperty is clean and well maintained. The location is with in walking distance to downtown. I would HIGHLY recommend this property.

We recently enjoyed a two week stay at this condo. Compared to similar vacation rentals in Sandpoint, this condo is almost brand new, everything works, everything is sparkling clean, (almost) everything is walking distance etc. Mountain views just as advertised. Lots of light. In town but very quiet and lots of parking. Owners made every attempt to satisfy our needs. In particular, cable-based WIFI router was a god-send for those working during their "vacations". This is not the norm for Sandpoint rentals. No complaints. Unqualified recommendation. Would stay again but we rented our own house.

We had a wonderful time at the condo. The air conditioning was a constant blessing. I can't think of a thing you missed. The unit was exactly what we expected, and we will definitely use it for future 4th of July reunions in Idaho. I was delighted to see one of the Harry Potter books. We are all Harry Potter fans. Thanks for inviting us into your home and letting it be our "home" for a few days. You've done very well, and should be successful at renting it out. Feel free to use me as a reference if you want to.

About the owner: We are Kirsten and Kris, with our two sons. We live surrounded by wilderness in Northern Canada (which we love). We enjoy kayaking, mountain biking, hiking and camping. Kris works in forest fire management, so we aren't often able to travel during the height of summer, which makes the vacation rental option ideal for us.

                          Why the Owner Chose Sandpoint:
We fell in love with Sandpoint when we first arrived. Sandpoint one of the most beautiful and friendliest towns we've visited. It's the perfect place for us to vacation. We love the easy access to spectacular wilderness areas. The steep mountain ranges are beautiful, but they also provide unparalleled opportunities for whitewater kayaking, mountain biking, hiking and skiing. We are excited about coming to Sandpoint this summer to go to the lake, do some family cycle-touring trips (the Trail of the Hiawatha and the Trail of the Coeur D'Alenes), and do a family kayak float down the Pack River. We're also excited about coming down in the winter skiing Schweitzer's legendary powder!

We'll be bringing our bikes down when we come to Sandpoint, and we are looking forward to just parking the truck and biking everywhere. Everything is within easy biking distance of the condo. We are especially looking forward to spending time with the kids at Travers Park, and riding on the many paved bike paths in town. This is the first time we've ever owned a vacation property - it will be a fantastic place for us to vacation, because it is big enough for us to host friends and family.
