In 2008, new life began to surge through the guest house bringing forth its own healing energy. You can feel the energy as soon as you step through the antique wooden doors saved from a historic landmark, The Oasis, that made its debut in New Braunfels in 1939. Upon entering the house you will note the original hard wood flooring and original tongue-grooved ceiling in the kitchen made from knotty pine, as well as the antique stain glass windows throughout each of the rooms. Unique pieces are found throughout the house, inviting you to step back in time so that you can make your own memories with loved ones.

Home Again Guest House has two separate bedrooms, each with a Queen sized bed. There are two living areas, one of which has a 32 inch flat screen t.v. with cable. There is a day bed located in the second sitting area towards the back of the house. The house shares one bathroom and boasts a garden tub perfect for re-charging oneself at the end of a busy day after exploring the Texas Hill Country.

Further adding character to this house, the owner enlosed the exposed back of the house, creating a galley through which you walk to enter a separate seating area designed for our guests to re-center themselves and reconnect with loved ones.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with cooking utensils, an electric range, full size refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker.

Stepping outside onto the front porch, you can relax on a swing or in chair and watch the deer meandering nearby. Or, you can explore the meditation garden located along side the guest house. We also offer a collection of bicycles should you choose to venture away from the property.

However you choose to spend your time at Home Again Guest House we feel certain that you will leave us at the end of your stay wanting to return as soon as possible. We provide you the comforts of home while offering you an escape from it all.

Home Again Guest House is the ideal place to begin your Texas Hill Country vacation! Our goal is to help you relax and leave us feeling reinvigorated.

Located on the North side of Canyon Lake, you can spend your day boating on the Lake with boat ramp access only minutes away at Jacob's Creek Park. Then, at night, catch some live music at Whitewater Ampitheater, Gruene Hall or Tavern In The Gruene!

                        Dear Janice & to all future visitors, We had a wonderful time in this 1930's house. Janice was nice enough to give us an overview of the places to visit as soon as we arrived. We were also amazed to see her swiftness in swatting some of the hornets. We had a nice time near the gazebo with the barbque. This is a nice place to cool your heels and visit some nice places nearby. Would love to come back again. Keerthi

                        Our weekend was great. Overcame the heat with a swim at The Dam! Was very refreshing. Shopped at Gruene, bought too many, but wonderful things. I loved the antiques. Kids loved the river. Hope to come back soon! The guest house is so relaxing and refreshing. Awesome Get away.

                        Came out for the weekend. Very relaxing and quiet. Burn ban in effect, so did not BBQ, but cooked indoors. Somehow, it began to feel like Grandma Mimi's house and I wished it were because she would have been at the stove! What wonderful family time. We went for a drive to Wimberley. It was great. The water was cool but low. I was not prepared for the "boody rock hanging" but we all laughed and laughed AT each other. Great medicine. Meditation area was great and my morning coffee seemed extra special while sitting outdoors. Thanks, Tammy

                        Dear Janice and Future Visitors, My family & I stayed for the 4th of July weekend. We had a great time here in Canyon Lake for 4th of July. We went to the Natural Bridge Wild Life Ranch. The Ranch is amazing out there and the animals are kind. Janice gave us wonderful advice to go down to the Comal River for tubing and river rafting. You have to pay for the river rafting before 6pm, after that, it is free. You can still go down to the river with your tubes and float around for free. The water feels amazing. It is nice and cool for this hot weather in Texas. Today is our last day! Now for this wonderful 1930's home. Does it feel like it is from the 1930's? Nope! My family and I arrived July 3, 2011. We bbq'd near the gazebo and the family gathered around for the night. It is very peaceful here and private. Everyone slept well and there was enough space for everyone. Favorite thing from the home is the back room. We all fell in love with how that part of the house is split from the rest and it is very spacious. Downfall: The bathtub. Although it is very nice we all felt a bit odd bathing instead of showering, but it is nice for relaxation. Overall, we used the meditation garden for family time and to sit around.
