  Stayed here the first weekend of Jazz Fest and couldn't be happier with the location. Close enough to all the action and far enough to get some peace and quiet to wind down. Very spacious, with access to a courtyard and balcony. Access to 3 separate bathrooms a big plus. The house is on the older side and has that feel to it, so come expecting that. A couple of minor criticisms - need to update the 3rd floor bathroom and non-master 2nd bathroom with new shower heads, curtains and liners. Some nicer/more modern furnishings would really help with the overall comfort of the house. Rick was extremely friendly and accomodative and a pleasure to work with. Linda returned our security deposit literally the day after we vacated. Definitely recommend this place for groups looking to get the full experience of the French Quarter.

  4 of us older ladies stayed at this property and found the location in the Quarter to be very nice. Felt safe, was convienent for walking and was very quiet. The property was spacious enough for all 4 of us to have some privacy and to gather when we wanted to. Unfortunately, there was a maintainence/cleanliness problem in one of the second floor bathrooms. The shower curtain for the claw foot tub was inadequate and water damage was evident on the floor around the tub. The floor there and around the toilet was very dirty and the exterior of the tub was dirty. The linen closet had very dusty louvers on the door. Old cans of paint and paint supplies were stored in the closet with linens. there was a huge accumulation of old toiletries left by former visitors in the closet, in the med cabinet and on the back of the toilet. I suppose some would find this charming. I found it a yukky nuisance. As a former owner of a turn of the century property, I know the maintainence can be endless and tricky. Example: the kitchen cupboards smelled stongly of mold (there was a room freshener in the adjencent living room to mask this odor) which may be the result of water dripping from that upstairs shower when guests were not extremely careful about the shower curtain. An new shower/tub unit and new kitchen cupboards seem in order. Finally, we had to call about our security deposit when 10 days went by and no sign of it being returned. the owner apologized profusely and explained she had been out of town and would refund it immediately, which she did. this was my first VRBO experience so I can't use the rating system in any kind of comparison fashion. I probably would have given it a fair rating since I was staying in the room with the problematic bath, but the other bedrooms were quite nice and overall, the stay was OK, hence the average rating.

  I was in NOLa celebrating my birthday with a few friends. Some of us girls stayed at this property. We LOVED it. Rick and Linda were amazing. They are very friendly and accommodating. The property is walking distance to all the fun spots on the French Quarter and Frenchmen Street. It is beautiful, clean and quiet. We would love to stay here again in the future.

  The space is huge and comfortable, and the four of us had a blast living like locals in the French quarter! Rick met us outside the house, and gave us lots of recommendations and was very helpful throughout our stay. The back house was within walking distance to everything we wanted to do in the quarter, including very close to Frenchmens street, and Jackson square. If you need a home away from home and want to experience the more intimate side of the quarter, stay here.

  Couldn,t recommend this more highly...4 Irish guys for 4 nights eating, drinking and enjoying the music..Just a ten minute walk from all the clubs on Frenchmens...about the same from Bourbon ( if you must) and easy walking distance from the shops in the quarter, Jackson square etc...yet very quiet and peaceful and felt safe at night (although never walk on your own in NO at night I would advise) Not to mention the brilliant deli counter in Verti Mart (3 mins walk) , the great burgers in Port of Call (same distance) and a few nice neighbourly bars literally on the corner.House is lovely,spacious and charming and has everything you could need, and a great courtyard if you want to smokeor have a glass outside...Our host who met us was more than helpful and even returned to meet our lost luggage later that evening- above and beyond the call of duty!.Looking forward to returning to Nola someday soon and will definitely head for here!!

  We rented this house for a Bachelorette party with six girls and it did not disappoint! The house is in a great location in the French Quarter, a couple blocks from Bourbon Street but in the quiet area of town so you are less likely to be woken up by loud people coming back from the bars. The house was very spacious and the photos on the listing are true to the house. We were all a little scared of the spiral staircase after a few drinks but thankfully none of us fell, haha. I will definitely consider renting this house again next time I come back to New Orleans with a larger group of people. The renting process was very simple and the rental agents were friendly and responsive. Thank you for helping us make our trip to New Orleans soo great!

  My husband and I stayed in the house with another couple and a single friend for 3 nights. We could easily have fit more people comfortably. The house was clean and comfortable and came fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. It was especially nice that each bedroom had its own bathroom. But, the best part of this house (as others have posted) is the location. It is within walking distance to everything in the Quarter. It was also quiet and we never felt unsafe walking back to the house late at night (or early in the morning). We would stay again without hesitation.

  This house was built in the 1800s and is in very poor condition. The owners and another guy were extremely rude during the process. On the first night of our stay, there was a leak from the third floor which left our bed soaking wet. We ended up sleeping on the floor. All of the beds are also hard as a table. You have to park your car on the street and ours got towed on Tuesday because of street cleaning. The guy gave us a parking pass and claimed it would work which obviously it did not. When we called him to address the issue, he stated "yes you should have read the sign." The neighbor across the street said she has to leave every morning at 7am to prevent her car from getting towed. The house was also very dirty upon arrival. Many of the electrical outlets do not work in the restrooms, so you have to get ready in the hallway. Dust everywhere and the old tubs had built up scum in them. Gross!! Do not stay here!! The pictures on this site are not updated. No bathroom downstairs, have to walk up second story to use it.

  Owner response: This review was left before they had even finished staying. They were mad because we caught them with extra guests and their car got towed because they parked ILLEGALY--we gave them a parking pass free of charge and they wanted us to pay the towing charge. The "leak" which we went and checked did not exist as they never contacted us and the only reason I even heard about it was because of the review. The pictures are current and it is clearly stated that the bathrooms are upstairs. Please check all of our other reviews.

  This property was perfectly located in the French Quarter. Easy walk to almost everything. Home was very comfortable and private for its location. The owners were very receptive and helpful in recommendations of local restaurants and music venues. Look forward to returning.

  My husband and I, along with our two children and aupair, just had a wonderful stay here. We found the house to be perfect for our needs. I agree with another reviewers comments about the furniture downstairs. Thankfully, there were only 4 of us who use kitchen chairs, so we didn't find the seating to be an issue, but when we return next, our youngest will need a chair too so hopefully a few get added. Also agree with the seating in the family room. A larger couch would be nice. We found the location to be perfect. Only a couple short blocks to Lafittes or the French Market. A few blocks from the heart of Bourbon street. Also close to Frenchmen if you prefer the local party over the tourist scene. Since it's situated behind the main house, it was much quieter than if you were right on the street. (Garbage collection occurs in the middle of the night in the Quarter!). The little courtyard is completely gated in, which made it perfect for our toddler to run around safely. She absolutely adored the little fountain in the front yard with the goldfish and rubber duckies! We used to live in New Orleans and come back often to visit. We will definitely be renting this place again!
