This was our first time to Holden Beach and "living a dream" was perfect! The house is very comfortable, well maintained, clean and equipped with everything that we needed. Although there were only two of us on this trip, the house would easily accommodate a family or families. Access to the beach was at the end of the street. Views of both the ocean and the ICW were beautiful. Having access to the private pier on the ICW is a very nice benefit for boaters or fishermen. We made note of a lot of the rental properties on the island and this house was one of the best for location, accommodations and general condition. We would definitely stay at this house again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We, too, lived a dream by the sea for a weekend wedding. My husband was the one who remarked that the accommodations were provided with the renter's best interest. The home was comfortable and respectful of a renter's needs. It is beautifully situated and decorated as if the renter were indeed the owner. It is a gorgeous and very spacious home with a fenced back yard and a porch swing facing the yard on the lowest level. Everything there was spotless and beautifully maintained. The owners were most thoughtful in making this a very positive experience. Were we to return to Holden Beach (which is a very family oriented beach with gorgeous homes) I would seriously consider renting this home again. (We have a beach home at another NC beach, but LOVED Holden.)Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: After growing up on the Jersey shore, we knew we needed a vacation place on a beach near our family home in Columbia. Holden Beach is the perfect place to "get away from it all"!! We love relaxing on the beach, flying kites, bike riding, fishing and crabbing.
Why the Owner Chose Holden Beach:
Holden Beach was ranked one of the top 10 family beaches by Conde Nast. We love it's quiet non touristy nature, but also it's proximity to golf and shopping. It's only 45 minutes south of Wilmington, NC and one hour north of Myrtle Beach. Golf and Tennis at the Lockwood Folly Country Club are only minutes away.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Holden beach is a long, narrow island and is great not only for the beach and waterway activities, but is wonderful for riding bikes. Long stretches of flat road/sidewalks let us bike for miles. There's multiple businesses nearby to rent water toys such as Kayaks and Jet skis.
