This spectacular contemporary home is located a mere 30 feet from the beautiful Roaring Fork River in Carbondale, Colorado. Do you enjoy fly fishing? With over 200 feet of private riverfront, it's never been easier. Just step off the deck and cast your line!
Perhaps you prefer skiing. The world-famous terrain of Aspen's four mountains is only 25 miles away. Hiking and mountain-climbing, maybe? Seven high-alpine National Wilderness Areas are within an hour's drive. Name a mountain recreation... It is probably here!
Completed in 1999, this state-of-the-art 3,300 square-foot home offers just about every luxury possible. Sure -- many mountain homes have hot tubs, but how many have a riverside hot tub, with views of 11,000-foot peaks? Or 900 square feet of riverfront decking? Or a living and dining area with three 10 foot by 10-foot sliding glass doors offering panoramic views of the river and the hills beyond? There are not many homes like this for rent, that's for sure!
For enjoying a mellow evening after an activity-packed day, the living room boasts comfortable, top-quality furniture, a 42-inch wood-burning fireplace (firewood included), a high-end stereo with a 101-disc CD changer, subwoofer, and satellite speakers in the kitchen, a master bedroom, and the riverfront deck.
Maybe you're tired and just want to relax in front of the tube. The three TVs (one is HDTV) with digital satellite (over 150 channels!), as well as the VCR, DVD player, a Playstation 2, and a computer with a wired and wireless Internet connection should satisfy that desire!
The large kitchen (which overlooks the river) has top-of-the-line features including a SubZero fridge, Bosch dishwasher, five-burner Thermador gas range, a GE oven and microwave, a dual-basin sink with disposal, custom cabinets (lots of them), zinc countertops, and a breakfast bar. All manner of small appliances are provided, as well as service for twelve.
The master bedroom features river and mountain views, a custom-built king-size bed, a ceiling fan, in-wall speakers, deck access, and a huge walk-in closet. The master bath has a granite-tiled, four-head shower that overlooks the river, as well as twin sinks, a large bathtub, a commode, and a bidet.
One of the guest bedrooms offers a custom queen-size bed, a river view, and an attached bath. A second guest bedroom has two custom twin-size beds and two trundle beds, a river view, and an adjacent bath. The third guest bedroom also has a double and twin bed, and a stream view.
Other amenities include in-floor heat, off-street parking, and a washer and dryer. The caretaker will answer any questions you may have.
