  My wife and 2 young children spent a blissful week at this perfect home in Pine Knoll Shores. The cottage was immaculate, spacious, warm and inviting. I highly recommend this home - it's a steal for the price and we can't wait to return!

  From initial planning to our return to Philly, the owners were ultra-responsive to our questions and generous in accommodating our requests. We shared a week in this wonderful home with another family and had a blast!!! We arrived to a tidy & clean house with beds ready for us to collapse into. Throughout the week, we walked to the beach, explored the neighborhood, cooked and ate many meals in the huge kitchen/dining room. Our daughters' feasted on their first fresh raw oysters from the owners' fave seafood market, Blue Ocean Market! And then there were none for the rest of us, ha ha ha! We spent many relaxing afternoons/evenings reading from the book collection, as well as raucous family movie nights, Sound of Music, Julie Andrews rocks- yeay! Although the weather was a little uncooperative, our forays to the beach yielded several bags of seashells, a few scrapes, a rescue operation into the waves to retrieve our kite, and finally, four shivering kids gathered around steaming mugs of spiced hot chocolate! Our stay has given us many happy memories. We are extremely grateful for the graciousness of this house and its owners. We shall return! (with our piano sheet music & when it gets warmer :) )

  The home was so conveniently located. The beach,with its white sands, was never over-crowded. The home has such a charming touch of the owner's mother. It made me miss my grandmother with its charm and beautiful setting. It was wonderful to see old-fashioned items mixed with modern conveniences. I would recommend this easily to people who want to relax in a beautiful woodsy setting.

  I stayed here for 2 nights with my friends. House was really very nice, clean, with all necessary household appliances and lots of CD's, DVD's, books, artwork and a piano. Owners were helpful. Beach was just 5 min away.

  This was a wonderful family vacation home. The house made us feel completely relaxed & at home. It had everything we needed & then some. Steve & Nancy ( owners ) had a folder on the kitchen table when we arrived. It was filled w/ things to do places to see even a map of the island. The kids loved Golfin Dolphin. It had everything any age kid would want to do. The Aquarium was very nice too. Comfortable & clean is a great way to describe the home. The pics do not do it justice. The internet access helped me keep up w/ work while on vacation. They also allowed our St. Bernards which most places would not allow. So the entire family could come along & enjoy vacation together. The beach is very close w/ in walking distance. The pass they supplied for the private beach & parking was an awesome bonus. The beach is beautiful, very peaceful & non-crowded extemely awesome. The beach is pet friendly w/ no restricted hours for pets was also a bonus for us. This was one of the cleaniest beaches I have seen. We found a lot of beautiful shells on the beach & the locals were extemely friendly & helpful. This was by far one of the most relaxing vacations we have had. We are already planning another trip back. Thank you Steve & Nancy

  This was a very comfortable and clean home and very accomodating for families with pets or children. The owners were so helpful and responsive and made us feel welcome. The location was close to the beach and to the sound with private access to both. It is in a quiet, shady neighborhood; nice for walks after dinner or sitting on the porch in rocking chairs. The guest bathroom looked like it had been nicely updated recently. We wish we could have stayed longer.

  We needed a rental while waiting to close on our house. The owners were very accomodating. The house was just as described in the listing. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The aquarium is only minutes away and the beach was very close by as well. Quiet and very clean beach. We had one tiny hiccup after our arrival, and the owners were very attentive and made sure everything was promptly taken care of. Overall a great stay. No complaints.
