We had a wonderful Christmas week, 2010, in this unit. It was big enough for 5 adults, and had everything we needed, including the most beautiful view of the ocean from the lanai. The unit was clean, updated, and had plenty of dishes, utensils, pots and pans so we could do some of our own cooking. We have stayed at a lot of units over the years, and this was definitely one of the best. We would definitely return to this unit.

We just got home from our fabulous Maui vacation! The condo (Papakea L205) was simply perfect. It was the nicest condo we ever rented (and we have rented our fair share). Updated kitchen and bathrooms. Comfortable furniture (no wicker here). There was nothing economy about L205… down to the great sharp knives, the oh so soft sheets, the crazy comfortable beds (I am not looking forward to going back to my own bed tonight) and the 50” LCD TV (my husband was over the moon with this). The best part was there was plenty of room in the condo for my kids (ages 4 & 2) to play. There was also sand toys, boogie boards, etc in the closet. I know next time not to pack my own since airlines now charge to check bags. We are already talking about coming back to L205 in a year or two. Just loved it! (my brother and family were in the condo below us and had envy over ours. )

My husband and I took our friends for their b-day to Maui and after hours upon hours I choose this beautiful condo. We absolutely thought it was perfect. They thought of every need and met it. It was stocked and well maintained. It was located ideally between everthing you could do, golf, snorkling, hiking, shopping. We will be back and our friends are allready planning their next family vacation. Thank you all.

We recently stayed in L205 for one of the most enjoyable weeks we have ever had in Maui! The condo was close to shopping and restaurants, but off the beaten-path enough to really experience Hawaiian relaxation. Mahalo to Christeen for making the rental so easy, and to the owners who insured that everything we needed was available to make our trip special. We have stayed in other condos on Maui, but this one is definately a place we will return to when we get to come back!

We just returned from a week in Paradise at the Papakea Resort (unit L205). These accommodations were awesome and sitting on the lanai at sunrise AND sunset were the grandest parts of our days. Had breakfast up the road at the Gazebo and frequented the outdoor market right across the street from the resort. Looking forward to another trip back to Maui next year and would definitely look into this unit as well as recommend it to all of our friends. Mahalo

As a family, we have stayed in many condos on the Hawaiian islands, and this was probably the nicest, most modern, cleanest, and well stocked condos. Well groomed and landscaped gounds and pools are very clean. Christine is very pleasant and helpful. In February, 2009 we stayed at L205, the two bedroom and also at the three bedroom H403 at the Papakea that is owned by the same people. The three bedroom is just as nice as the two bedroom and we would definately recommend that condo also. Enjoyed it so much we are in the process of booking for 2010. L205 is ocean front and we enjoyed listening to the waves and watching the whales in the mornings while having breakfast on the lanai. Great lunch meals at the Honolua store in Kapulua. Go to the far back of the store. Tables outside to eat on. Turn left on Office road off the main highway or upper road. The Honolua store is on the right hand side as you drive towards the ocean. Great breakfast at the Gazebo restaurant, ecspecially the pancakes. It is located in the Napili Shores resort, which is a 10 minute drive from the Papakea. Be prepared to wait in line for a while, but the wait is worth while. An absolute must when in Maui, is the popular Hula Grill in Kaanapali. For evening meals, ask for seating outside in the barefoot bar, but order off the inside dining menu. Be there for sunset. We were very impressed with the luau at the Hyatt in Kaanapali: great food and spectacular dancers. Recommend the Pacific Whale Foundation for boat trips, such as whale watching. We found the Blue Hawaiian helicopter company very impressive, if you plan to do a helicopter tour.

We stayed in Papakea L205 for seven nights in Dec. 2008. The location, amenities, and overall condition of the unit exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed watching whales every day from the lanai. In addition, a monk seal rested on the beach in front of the condo two days in a row. The sunsets were phenomenal! The condo came stocked with lush beach towels, boogie boards, mats, etc. We also enjoyed the games and DVDs and appreciated the well-stocked kitchen. The decor is very tasteful and up-to-date. The big screen TV and computer are nice additions as well! The grounds and pools at Papkea are very well maintained. Security personnel patrol the grounds regularly. Our stay was unexpectedly prolonged. Christine was so kind and helpful in extending our reservation another night. Incidentally, we moved to another Papakea condo because L205 had guests arriving. Needless to say, the second unit did not even compare in terms of location, condition and cleanliness. In fact, we have seen three other condos at Papakea that our friends have stayed in. They also agreed that L205 ranked far above the others. We just booked our stay in this unit for this December, and we can't wait for our next visit!

L-205 was a fabulous condo! We stayed at the end of October and there were five of us and we all enjoyed it. It was great to sit out on the balcony and enjoy the ocean so close. All the amenities we needed. Definately a vacation to remember!

L-205 is the best! Very clean, spacious, and fully equipped! (And I mean that- we did not want for ANYTHING!). I highly recommend staying here. There is a great little guest book with other guests recommendations under the coffee table- read through it because it helped us tremendously when trying to make decisions on where to eat, snorkle, etc. We enjoyed breakfast on the lanai every morning and even saw a few whales across the water near Molokai! Beautiful views/sunsets, great location... we would definitely come back! A very big Mahalo from Todd and Colleen Bailey, and Kern and Dorothy Corrigan!

Beautiful unit with all the normal expected amenities and then some!! Love the location and fact that it's right on the ocean. Took a couple of nights to get used to the waves crashing. Pool area is great, loved the hot tub/pool combo. Never seemed crowded while we were around the pool. Spent most afternoons, from 1:00-5:00pm poolside or on the beach. Total experience is very "kid friendly" - our daughters loved it. We will definitely be back. Great 9 days, thank you very much!! Happy Thanksgiving! The Reed Family is thankful for a lot of things but one that tops the list is L-205. We have been coming to Maui and Papakea for eleven years. The minute we walked into L-205 it was paradise and we will have fond memories when we shut the door on Nov. 24th. Once we walked into this beautiful unit we knew we found paradise. We have stayed in many rentals & hotels and L-205 tops them all. All the homey touches & the re-model are spectacular. We saw about 8 in one day, it was incredible!

Thank you for a wonderful vacation/anniversary trip. We appreciate the homey touches in the condo, it definitely made us feel like welcome guests. The location and the views are unbeatable. Several of the restaurants were rated as top ranked sunset views, which they would have been, except it wasn't any better then here on the lanai of the condo. AWESOME! We've had the most relaxing time. The condo is perfect with everything you need and the ocean view is spectacular. We began most mornings snorkeling right in front of the condo. We've seen parrot fish, butterfly fish, a large school of bright blue fish....even Nemo! Most days ended with a light supper on the lanai with a beautiful sunset. We did venture out to the Gazebo for breakfast based on recommendations from other guests. Had a short wait but worth it! The Banana-Mac pancakes with a little coconut syrup were amazing! Went to Mama's Fish House in Pa'aia for our anniversary. It's a beautiful setting with great food. Our favorite was probably the Feast at Lele Luau in Lahaina. We enjoyed our trip to Maui and especially your condo. The place was beautiful and as advertised the view was fantastic. We spent many an evening on the lanai listening to the waves. We were especially impressed with the amenities in the unit. We were totally amazed there was snorkel gear and wake boards etc. To add to the wonderful experience our daughter got engaged on the beach in front of the unit!! This was a vacation we will never forget!We have already started our planning for the next visit and hopefully we can stay in this unit again.

This is our 2nd trip to Maui but our 1st stay at the Papakea. This condo is fantastic and exceeds our expectations! We will definitely be back. This trip was exactly what we needed, we had a wonderful time snorkeling and exploring the whole island. We recommend a drive to the up-country. We were amazed at what we found. Haleakala National Park was one of the most beautiful places we've ever been. Also if you are going on a trip to Hana....don't turn back at Hana and return the same way you came. Make sure you continue on to the road less travelled. The books say that it is a treacherous drive past Hana but we found it to be passable with any type of vehicle, you are missing so much if you turn back at Hana. Several things we recommend : - Warren & Annibel's magic show (so well worth it). - Massage with Kathy Rea - the tip from previous tenant really paid off! She is amazing and very professional. - The Fish Market - Great place to buy fresh seafood! We had a better time grilling our own dinner and spending time together on the lanai. Our first childless vacation in 3 years as well as our 8th anniversary - wow! This also being our 5th return to Papakea, L-205 is the Belle of the Ball! Outstanding weather without rain, daily turtle sightings from the lanai & sunrises and sunsets that give new meaning to our "Aloha Experience". Must Do's - - Capt. Steve river raft adventure to Lanai. A bit pricey but our best snorkel experience anywhere we have been. - Kobe - Lahain's best tempani meal. - In room massage - Kathy Rea 357-9419 20 years experience that shows. - Bloody Mary's at Cheeseburger in Paradise! This being our fifth return to Papakea's Resort and long times fans of Maui, we felt compelled to write and share our experience with L-205 thus far. Without question, this is the nicest unit we have ever stayed in on Maui. Between the remodle & upgrades, choice of appliances & amenities, quality construction & finish work, all in concert with the art, furnishings, views and considerable respect the unit has endured, the bar has been raised to that of Euphoroic status. Thank you for your straight forward communication, representing such an outstanding unit and enabling us to enjoy the Aloha experience we have come to love while in the Islands. The bar has been raised so high that we will find it difficult at best to ever stay elsewhere on Maui and this is only day two of our eight day childless vacation.
