The MARAIS LARGE APARTMENT WITH TERRACE (7 rue Aubriot, corner Rue Blancs Manteaux, quiet street in the very heart of the Marais, between Rue Saint Croix de la Bretonnerie and Rue des Francs Bourgeois) sunny , bright and well heated loft on two levels, 75 square meters/ 810 square feet, with large green terrace, exposed beams, fireplace, great character, on 3rd ( top floor) of a 17th century building.



Ideal for couples seeking a romantic hideaway, for friends who want a special place in the very heart of old Paris, or for a family who want to live like true Parisians. (There is a small park nearby with facilities for children).



*** THE APARTMENT

Located in the heart of the picturesque and vibrant Marais, the apartment ,tastefully and comfortably furnished (some furniture designed by Rietveld) with exposed beams and picture windows, consists of:

* a large LIVING AREA with one double bed divan, one ordinary sofa, Cable TV ( with International Channels such as BBC), hi-fi stereo/ CD player, desk and French windows opening onto terrace.

* one raised-level BEDROOM with a double bed ( queen size 160x200 cm) and beautiful views over Paris roof-tops.

* Curtained ALCOVE ( off living area, overlooking terrace ) with double bed.

* large KITCHEN fully equipped ( refrigerator, oven, gas-stove with 4 burners, dishes, coffee maker-Italian moka , electric kettle, microwave, juicer, etc.) with fireplace, large dining table and a divan bed.

* The large TERRACE with plants and flowers is ideal place for eating out on fine days (table, seats, and barbecue).

* one BATHROOM with WC, tub and shower, 2 wash-basins, bidet.



*** AMENITIES:

AIR CON, TV ( Cable TV with International Channels such as BBC), Hi-Fi stereo with CD player, washing machine and dryer, INTERNET ACCESS ( DSL also wireless), telephone for incoming calls ( outgoing calls with prepaid card), 2 fans, hair dryer, coffee maker, kettle, microwave, central heating, iron and ironing board.

* A cleaner is available during the rental period ( at extra cost ).

Please note there is no elevator / lift ( as in all such buildings in the Marais ).



*** THE AREA

The MARAIS is one of the liveliest, and safest, areas of the whole of Paris.
It has world-famous museums and galleries within easy walking distance. Great restaurants and bars, fashion and art/design boutiques, and shops of every variety (bakers, green grocers, daily market...). There are also churches of every denomination. Swimming and Cinemas are nearby.



*** DISTANCES FROM THE APARTMENT

* 1-5 minutes walk: PLACE DES VOSGES, RIVER SEINE, CENTRE POMPIDOU, PICASSO MUSEUM, ILE SAINT LOUIS.

* 5-10 minutes walk: NOTRE DAME CATHEDRAL,RIVE GAUCHE-LEFT BANK, Place de la BASTILLE.

* 10-15 minutes walk: LOUVRE, MUSEE D’ORSAY, PLACE DE LA CONCORDE.
Easy distance also for EIFFEL TOWER ( bus stop line 69 is located 1 minute walk from apartment) and MONTMARTRE.



*** TRANSPORT

* Excellent METRO/ SUBWAY links:
# 1 minute walk from "HOTEL DE VILLE STATION" and "Saint Paul du Marais station" (Line 1, direct to the Louvre - though that too is within easy walking distance)
# 2 minutes walk "Rambuteau Station" ( line 11) where the Pompidou Centre is located.
# 3 minute walk "Chatelet -Les Halles Station": main interlink of 5 lines of metro and 2 RER ( train for CDG Airport and ORLY Airport, Disneyland).

* BUS STOP ( line 69 , direct to Eiffel Tower) is located 1 minute walk.

* AIRPORT: 45 minutes from Charles de Gaulle Airport ( or Orly) to Chatelet with RER, then one metro stop (Hotel de Ville).

* Easy distance from all TRAIN STATIONS.

* A GARAGE PARKING ( 24/24) and a TAXI RANK is located 1 minute walk ( although taxis can be stopped anywhere).

  • I want to sincerely thank you for such a wonderful stay at your beautiful apartment. As I’m sure you are aware, very often advertisements don’t give a very good idea of the reality of a rental property, but your photos and descriptions of the apartment were 100% accurate. The apartment is beautiful with its exposed beams, its history, and its lovely décor. The terrace is a wonderful place to take a meal or have a drink. And the location of the apartment is ideal. It really is in the heart of the most beautiful part of Paris with monuments and beautiful buildings, excellent restaurants, interesting boutiques, etc. all within a stone’s throw. Additionally, François (who showed us the apartment in place of Dominique) was very friendly and helpful and explained everything to us in detail. I was very happy to make his acquaintance. Best regards, and we look forward to visiting the apartment again soon.

  • we took a chance that everyone in the family would approve (5 adults, 2 children) and found that this lovely rooftop appartement was every bit as good as promised on the website. comfortable beds, lots of light and living space, and stunning plants on the terrace and fresh herbs growing by the kitchen window. the separate kitchen/diner worked really well for us with 2 small children. great location in the centre of paris, but with a neighbourhood feel, although staying in was as tempting as going out as there was always a pleasant quiet space to rest and read, and hear the bells of notre dame des blancs manteaux strike the hours...

  • My husband, myself & young adult niece stayed at the apartment Sept 16th - Oct 5th. The location is great & the apartment was roomy, clean & charming. The neighbors in the building were very nice & friendly to us. We loved hearing the church bells & being near the church steps across the street where people often gather to rest & visit. Having the theater across the street was also fun. We felt like were in the center of things, but the apartment was quiet & peaceful. The bathroom is up a steep set of open steps, so might be challenging for some. Mr. Bartolmei & Mr. Dominque were wonderful to deal with --- very helpful, nice & honest. Mr. Dominque even arranged for an English-speaking computer technician to come over and help us when we experienced difficulty with our laptop picking up the wireless connection. Overall, a lovely experience!

  • What a charming week in Paris, I loved eating cheese and wine in the large kitchen with the sofa for perfect for napping after a day of touring this great city. The apt was super quiet and only a block away from all the action in the Marais. Best kept secret in Paris.
