ii would definitely recommend this apartment. I have stayed in at least 10 apartments in Paris and this one is by far the best. You can't beat the location. Even tho a three story walk up -- it's worth it. it's spacious, quaint, and the roof top garden is spectacular. The woman who checked us in, affectionately known as Mrs Keys, was extremely pleasant and accommodating. Ay one point our pilot light to the hot water tank went out, and within a few hours she came by personally to deal with it. And did i say you can't beat the location? i can't wait to go back. As long as it's available i will not stay anywhere else.

My husband and I are in our late 60's and stayed in the Marais apt. for a week. We knew ahead of time that it was on the 4th floor with many stairs to climb. Going up the first time with our luggage was a test, but after that, just a nice workout in addition to all our walking. The stairs will get you in shape, or test your shape. We enjoyed the quirkiness of the apartment and it's bohemian feel. The patio was fabulous for sitting out and enjoying wine and cheese in the afternoon and the view was great. Our other favorite place was in the large, very well equipped kitchen with a dining table and even a sofa. It was very comfortable and homey and really made you feel like you were in Paris. The rest of the apartment was not as well furnished with assorted spreads draped over the furniture, etc. The bedroom and bathroom were up open ladder-like stairs - no railings. We quickly got used to that although, again, hauling our stuff up and down was a push. The bed was fine, and the view from the bedroom window was wonderful. We loved it. The bathroom was a challenge as the ceiling was so pitched that my husband had to duck when using the facility! It wasn't the most convenient of bathrooms and we found there was barely enough hot water to take a quick bath. The washer/dryer was also in the bathroom, but with absolutely no instructions in English, so we ended up with wet clothes hanging all over the bathroom. One of the biggest drawbacks was that the person meeting us at the apartment barely spoke English and wasn't much help to us because of that. We arrived at 10 a.m. and, after meeting her, dropping our luggage and given a quick orientation of the apt., we had to go back out and wander around until 3 p.m while the place was being cleaned - or given a quick once-over. We didn't anticipate ahead of time how tired we'd be, so by 1:00, it wasn't so much fun. We were only given two bath towels for the week, and did not realize it until the cleaning person had left. If you stay there, ask for more linens in both the bath and the kitchen. All in all, in spite of some inconveniences, we felt we had an adventure and laughed about a lot of things - especially our lack of French! We loved the neighborhood as it was very old-Paris and had lots of character as well as characters! If you are an adventurer, I would recommend this apt knowing that it has its glitches, but definite personality too. Just don't bump your head on the front door jamb!

Wondeful apartment in Paris!

We are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children) and had wonderful accomadations here in Paris. Everything was organized and presented as described. Property manager was excellant! Transacations were all very easy. The apartment was clean and had everything that we needed. We traveled around the city mostly by Metro and by foot and it was very easy to do so from this location. We bought ping-pong paddles and played in park just around the corner from the park. LOTS of good restaurants, bakeries, ice cream etc. The only negative we can come up with in this charming apartment is the low head clearence in the bathroom (it's an old building!), but we loved it any way. We definitly recommend this property and this managment company. Thank you!!

My husband and I stayed here last week and it was just perfect. We love the Marais but most of the apartments we've stayed in before in the 4th arrondisement have quite a bit of noise. Not so with Enzo's lovely apartment! It is somehow on a quiet street right in the heart of everything. The apartment is pretty large for Paris and the terrace was a great place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine before dinner. The view from the bedroom is divine. Enzo was great to work with; he's very prompt with emails and answers to any questions. He returned our deposit in full via paypal the day after we checked out. His assistant in Paris, who met us and showed us around was wonderful. We look forward to renting from Enzo again, whether it be in Istanbul (another great city!) or back in Paris. My family of five thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this Marais apartment with the lovely terrace. We have three sons age 11, 13 15 and they were all very comfprtable in the living room, which was their place to relax. The kitchen was roomy and easily accomadated all of us for cooking and eating meals. The master bedrrom has privacy and a lovely view out over the rooftops. All the rooms have beautiful windows that swing open to let in the fresh air and flowers spiling over boxes. It really is a charming and comfortable apartment. The locartion is ideal: the neighborhood offers everything and it close to the metro. We would defintely recommned this rental to our friends..

I want to sincerely thank you for such a wonderful stay at your beautiful apartment. As I’m sure you are aware, very often advertisements don’t give a very good idea of the reality of a rental property, but your photos and descriptions of the apartment were 100% accurate. The apartment is beautiful with its exposed beams, its history, and its lovely décor. The terrace is a wonderful place to take a meal or have a drink. And the location of the apartment is ideal. It really is in the heart of the most beautiful part of Paris with monuments and beautiful buildings, excellent restaurants, interesting boutiques, etc. all within a stone’s throw. Additionally, François (who showed us the apartment in place of Dominique) was very friendly and helpful and explained everything to us in detail. I was very happy to make his acquaintance. Best regards, and we look forward to visiting the apartment again soon.

we took a chance that everyone in the family would approve (5 adults, 2 children) and found that this lovely rooftop appartement was every bit as good as promised on the website. comfortable beds, lots of light and living space, and stunning plants on the terrace and fresh herbs growing by the kitchen window. the separate kitchen/diner worked really well for us with 2 small children. great location in the centre of paris, but with a neighbourhood feel, although staying in was as tempting as going out as there was always a pleasant quiet space to rest and read, and hear the bells of notre dame des blancs manteaux strike the hours...

We spent 9 days in Paris in the Marais apartment with terrace, and it was wonderful. Compared to many of the other apartments we looked at, this was huge! There's an upstairs bedroom and bathroom/laundry, and downstairs has a kitchen, alcove with bed, garden terrace, and living room. It's comfortable and the location is perfect! Very clean, everything works, and communicating with Enzo about all the rental details was very easy. There were only 2 of us, but the apartment could easily sleep 6 or 8.

My husband, myself & young adult niece stayed at the apartment Sept 16th - Oct 5th. The location is great & the apartment was roomy, clean & charming. The neighbors in the building were very nice & friendly to us. We loved hearing the church bells & being near the church steps across the street where people often gather to rest & visit. Having the theater across the street was also fun. We felt like were in the center of things, but the apartment was quiet & peaceful. The bathroom is up a steep set of open steps, so might be challenging for some. Mr. Bartolmei & Mr. Dominque were wonderful to deal with --- very helpful, nice & honest. Mr. Dominque even arranged for an English-speaking computer technician to come over and help us when we experienced difficulty with our laptop picking up the wireless connection. Overall, a lovely experience!

What a charming week in Paris, I loved eating cheese and wine in the large kitchen with the sofa for perfect for napping after a day of touring this great city. The apt was super quiet and only a block away from all the action in the Marais. Best kept secret in Paris.

We spent most of August 06 in the lovely flat. Most of the time it was two adults plus our daughter, but we were joined for a week by another adult and two further kids. The layout of the place made this a perfectly comfortable arrangement. If you're looking for something terribly slick and swanky this place won;t do for you. If, however, you want somewhere genuinely beautiful, peaceful and romantic, plus located in absolutely the nicest bit of Paris you could hardly go wrong. It's also all very well-organised and the caretaker is truly helpful and charming. Just lovely.

The beauty of Paris surrounds this apartment. This part of the Marais is vibrant and comes alive on Friday and Saturday nights. We found we were able to walk almost anywhere in the city and the metro was close by when we wanted it. The previous posts about climbing stairs true but very manageable.

This is a wonderful apartment. The staircase may be a problem for some after walking the city streets but has a charming feel of relaxation as soon as you enter. The owner accomodates the loft with fans and airconditioning unit which was very appreciated in the July heat. Visit the theater across the street for friendly talk or just relax on your own private terrace. The neighborhood felt safe and colorful with lots to do and see. Happy times.

The appartment is situated in the very heart of Marais with all its bars, restaurants and shops. On our arrival we had a warm welcome from a neighbour and the flat was ready and clean. The kitchen is well equipped and as an extra there is a terrace with a table and four chairs for eating outside. We enjoied our stay very much. Thanks

"This was a great place to stay. it was close, (within walking distance)to major sites, but on a quiet streeet. The ambience of the Marais was great. Great location, beautiful old building, some stairs to climb but not a big deal. Apartment accomodated 4 adults without a problem. Large kitchen and terrace are big advantages. A true feel for Paris in this building / location. Everything is within walking distance or subway ride. We had a wonderful stay.

Delightful stay for four days in early June in spite of unexpected heat wave. Was able to cook two great meals for friends and everyone noted that the apartment was charming in a Bohemian kind of way. Great location. Rent a bike as we did and all of paris is yours!

The apartment is beautiful for its style and very comfortable expecially for its wide kitchen and large table to stay all around in the cold evenings. We couldn't use much the terrace, because of the cold, but it must be delicious in spring or summer... Peaceful, easy to reach by the metro, in an elegant part of the historic centre of Paris.We really found it perfect.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The neighborhood is great, you can walk everywhere, and the apartment has a lot of charm. You can really pretend your Parisian, if only for a week! Even though the neighborhood was jumping, the apartment was beautifully quiet. Sitting outside on the patio in the early morning or on a warm summer night is a real treat. Enzo was very accomodating and professional. I am very picky about my vacation homes and would definitely return to this one.

This apartment was perfect for our family of 5. We stayed 5 days but it would have worked for a much longer period as well. Great location. Wlaking distance to Notre Dame, easy train ride to the Louvre. Had one hiccup with arranging to get the key to move in. So be clear on arrival plans. but owner was very responsive in remedying the situation. Overall, I would very much look forward to staying there again.

this apartment was everything that i was looking for in paris-- the best part of the best neighborhood, a quiet street, top floor wih rooftop views, a terrace, and a great kitchen. we cooked in, and felt like we were living in paris, not just visiting. i can't wait to stay there again! jill stoner
