This was our first family vacation with the twins from Virginia and it couldn't be better, the view of this house is just amazing. The way everything is set up made us feel at home! Cozy, relaxing and comfortable, enjoying the firepit at night with the moon right on top of the mountain take your breathe away, enjoying this after visitng Sequoia's restaurant and park at only 20min. and finalizing the stay with a professional massage at the sunset on the deck of the house (We took it from the guest book at the house). Thanks Robin because since I called, you make me feel it was going to be a great vacation cause how nice, lovely, professional and detailed you are, like the bread you left for us which it was great. So far the best house we rent for vacations, we had rent on Tenennesse, Virginia, Florida, but nothing like this. We will comeback sooner than later to have another great time with family, friends, to enjoy again the view, barbeque, the pool, view, etc. Our friends are coming back in September and of curse we recommend this house to anyone willing to have a great and relaxing time. Thanks you so much for everything!!!!

Owner response: Pablo, family and friends, Thank you so much for the review. It is greatly appreciated. So this was your first vacation with your twins. Glad to hear it was fun for you all. thank you for saying that the house made you feel cozy, relaxed and comfortable. That is what we hope to achieve for our guests. So you had Robin's friend come up to the house and give you a relaxing massage. Makes me jealous sounds wonderful. We hope you will come back soon. I'm looking forward to your friends coming back in September. Hope they will enjoy their time at Sequoia Alta Vista and hope you won't be far behind them. Again thank you for taking the time to send a review. Gary and Mary (owners)

We stayed here for three nights while our family was on a driving tour of California. We arrived at midnight because we spent too much time finishing up our day at Yosemite and Mariposa Grove. Everyone was tired from a long day and drive. It was so nice to find that Robin had left us a loaf of fresh baked bread and cookies on the counter! (they didn't last long...) The property was in excellent condition with lots of extras in the kitchen (full jar of Hershey's kisses... they didn't last long!) Location was premium on top of a hill overlooking the foothills of Sierra Nevada mountains. Great views, nice and quiet. I thought the property was well-positioned sort of midway between Sequoia Park entrance to the east, Visalia to the west (good sized city with anything at all you might need to buy), with tons of local orange groves. We met an orange grove owner who let us pick some navel oranges off her trees. I'm not a big orange fan, but honestly these things were unbelievable, never tasted any fruit so juicy & sweet - amazing. Only problem is we only had 3 days -- sad to leave. Thanks Robin -- Very fond memories!

Owner response: Gene and family, Thanks for staying at Sequoia Alta Vista. Sounds like you had quite a California vacation. Busy, busy, busy ! We are so glad you had a nice stay at our home in Three Rivers. We try hard to keep our home in great condition for our guest. Robin's bread is great! And I love making cookies. So we love hearing that people enjoyed them. This time of year the oranges and lemons are great. We hope you helped yourself to the fruit that was ready on our trees. Thank you so much for the great review. And please do come back again sometime soon and stay longer. Thanks again Gary and Mary (owners)

We shared this very comfortable home with two other couples for the Jazzaffair weekend in Three Rivers. It was the perfect choice for us. Special features were the open floor plan with a great kitchen, and the wonderful deck with the beautiful view of the valley and the mountains. Robin was delightful to work with, and we loved the delicious loaf of bread that she baked and had waiting for us. The listing very adequately described the home and the location, and we would highly recommend it.

Owner response: Winnie, Thank you for taking the time to give us such a nice review. We appreciate it. Sounds like you, your husband and friends had a great time at the Jazzafair. I know they draw quite a crowd every year. Everyone seems to have a great time. We are very glad you enjoyed our home. We also enjoy the beautiful views and the large deck off the back off the house. I love to sit out there and watch the cloulds go by and at night all of the stars, it is amazing. We hope you can come back again for the Jazzafair or just come for rest and relaxation. Thanks again for the review and spending time at Sequoia Alta Vista. Gary and Mary (owners)

This was our THIRD stay at this amazing home, and that should tell you a lot! The house is so beautiful, and the views from every window are absolutely breathtaking. We awoke our first morning to look out from the master bedroom window just in time to see the orange sunrise expanding over the purple mountains and green hills. Simply stunning. This house is immaculate, and you will not lack for anything during your stay. The kitchen and bathrooms are stocked with everything you will need to stay comfortable and happy. The bi-level deck is the perfect place for your morning coffee or evening cocktail, and on chillier days, you can keep warm and comfy by the fire pit. This is a great home for families with children or two families traveling together. Plenty of privacy when you want it and lots of space to commune together. As you will see from the other reviews, no review of this home can be complete without loudly singing the praises of Robin, the manager. We have stayed in many home rentals, and no property manager has ever come close to providing the level of attention and care that you will receive from Robin in tending to every detail to make sure that your stay is perfect. In addition to being a true professional, she is just genuinely a lovely soul!

We (three families with kids) stayed in the above location during New Year 2013 weekend. The house is at beautiful location on the top of hill with good view of the valley and river.. I have to tell one thing that the house is kids friendly having lot of toys, books.. Robin is very friendly and we got lot of information from her for our stay and trip to Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park ahead of time. The house is well maintained, clean and perfect and we got the homemade cookies which were excellent and thanks for Robin. Our stay was memorable and we had perfect New Year celebration 2013 in this nice location. I would love to go back again if i get a chance and would suggest to anyone and everyone for this location.

We decided to stage our annual family reunion in the high sierra this year, to show our children the magnificent Sequoia trees. We picked Hilltop Home to accomodate three families, with 4 young kids, and we could not have been happier with our choice! The house is exactly as in the pictures: clean, well kept, with a fully equipped kitchen. Robin and the owners even put up a Xmas tree for our holiday week! The living room is marvelous with its high ceilings and lots of space, and the views are stunning. In late December, we did not use the pool nor the BBQ - but what an amazing space it is for great outside events. Robin greeted us with a custom ordered cheesecake which was fantastic, and checked in with us very frequently. She had prepared the house so thoughtfully - lots of age appropriate kids' books and toys greeted us. That was truly the theme of the week - amazing "customer service". We have used VRBO for many years for our annual get togethers, and this was one of the very best houses we have rented. Thank you, Robin!

When we have guest on Holidays I try to make the home feel festive. You'll need to come again when you can enjoy the pool and BBQ it is a great place to enjoy the outdoors. Robin does her very best to make our guest feel welcomed. Thank you again for the lovely comments about our home. Hope you can come again. Gary and Mary owners.

This Hilltop Home is the most beautiful vacation spot we have ever stayed in. Not only is the view like something out of Johanna Spyri's "Heidi", complete with Grandfather's House halfway up the mountain accross the valley, the house itself is picture perfect. It is immaculately clean, filled with all the little touches of home. All we needed to bring was dinner fixin's and our clothes. Just walking in the front door made me feel like I had come to stay with a friend...at home. There was even a photo album on the coffee table with places to visit and things to do while staying in Three Rivers. And because it is the Christmas Season, there was a tree with all the trimmings. We would definitely love to stay here again. And we have been telling all our friends about it. For a totally carefree, relaxing, pampered vacation, this is the place to stay. Maybe for Jazz Affaire in the Spring? A fun filled weekend of Dixieland Jazz with bands playing all around town at different venues.

The images on this website are not enough describe just how Amazing this vacation home is. To be frankly honest, words can't describe the soothing atmosphere that the house and surrounding lanscapes form. My family and I had the most memorable Thanksgiving ever, this house reanimated our family in a way that we have not experienced in some time. We will definitely be making a return visit to this vacation home and hopefully re-live the memorable moments.

Having spent the first week of our vacation with family in Orange County, exploring Los Angeles and San Diego, we were looking for a complete break from it all for our second week, away from the stresses and strains of everyday life. Sequoia Alta Vista delivers everything we needed in spades. The house is exceptionally well equipped with everything you could ever want or need, and is superbly maintained and spotlessly clean. We collected some provisions in Visalia on our way, and could happily have stayed in the house for a full week - you really need nothing else. And the views... The photographs simply do not do justice to the 360 degree vistas from the house, every window providing a picture painting of the Sequoia National Park, Kings Canyon and Lake Kaweah. Even in late October / early November the veranda is an idyllic place to sit and enjoy a leisurely breakfast, watching the sun rise over the valley and planning the day ahead - or simply deciding to stay there all day, relax, read a book, and enjoy the sun. In the evening, the table by the front door is the perfect place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sun set over the opposite horizon. That said, you don't come to Three Rivers to simply sit and enjoy the view, however tempting that may be, and the house provides a perfect base for exploring the Sequoia National Park. We spent three days walking in the park visiting some of the major landmarks (General Sherman Tree, Moro Rock etc.), and also exploring some of the longer trails, and found it really easy to spend an entire day away from everything and never meeting another human being. Other areas worthy of a visit include the Post Office at Kaweah, Reimers Ice-Cream parlour, and in the other direction the town of Exeter and its amazing murals. Finally, any review would not be complete without a mention of Robin. From our initial contact about our booking, through a welcome note and home-made cookies, to a loaf of freshly baked bread and discreet calls to check that everything was OK, Robin really went out of her way to ensure that we wanted for absolutely nothing, and that our holiday exceeded all our expectations. We would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending the property wholeheartedly, and look forward to the opportunity to come back some time in the future.

Owner response: Mark and Sally-Anne, Thank you so much for your great review. We try our best to keep the house in exceptional condition and equipped with most of the everyday needs. Most of that is due to Robin and her ladies they work very hard at keeping the house spotless. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed all the beautiful views out of the house. That is something that my husband and I have always enjoyed, the house has such a relaxed and comforting feel to it. And you can't beat the sunrises and sunsets , and when there is a full moon over the mountains it is so unreal. Sounds like you had a great time in the park. The view from Moro Rock is really something to see. Glad to hear that you ventured out to the small quaint little town of Exeter. The murals on the town walls are beautiful. One of Three Rivers local artist was one of the artist selected to do one of the murals, and she did a beautiful job. Glad you enjoyed the cookies and home made bread. We are very fortunate to have Robin as our manager she does a great job. We hope that maybe someday you will get the chance to come back again and stay awhile longer. Thank you again for the great review. Mary and Gary owners.

We were a party of 4 adults visiting from the Gold Coast, Australia. Once we arrived at the house, we could not be more delighted. This is a very clean, well maintained and luxurious property. Just perfect for relaxing at the end of a strenuous day of hiking around Sequioa National Park. The property is well located at the doorstep to the park with handy access to groceries and petrol. The views outside the property itself are outstanding and we were lucky enough to get up early and enjoy watching the sunrise while having breakfast. We have stayed at several properties using VRBO and I must say that dealing with an excellent property manager like Robin makes all the difference ! This is especially important when tou are booking from overseas. Right from the first communication, Robin ensured we were fully informed during the entire booking process as well as during the stay. She is a great resource for information about the park and the Three Rivers area and was keen to ensure we enjoyed our stay. I can definitely recommend this house for those looking to enjoy the day hikes at Sequoia and enjoy some peace and luxury at the end of he day.

My family recently spent one week at this vacation home. I have rented many vacations homes over the years and have always been happy but this home exceeded our expectations! I cannot start my review of the house without first singing the praises of the property manager, Robin. From the first of my inquiries about the property and surrounding area until the time of our arrival, she went above and beyond to make sure our stay would be perfect in every little detail. From recommending a book about Day Hikes in Sequoia NP to taking care of ordering the most awesome Snicker's cheesecake ever for my son's 18th birthday she provided the perfect role as both concierge and tour guide. To make our arrival even more special there was a plate of homemade cookies as well as a hand-written note card. As promised on my son's birthday, Robin slipped up to the house while we were away and delivered the cheesecake and also a loaf of her delicious homemade bread still warm from the oven. As promised, the cheesecake was a hit and the warm crusty bread really helped make the birthday steak dinner extra special. Now for my review of the house and the lovely grounds. As we approached Three Rivers we could see our rental sitting on the hilltop. What an exciting way to start our week. The house was just as described although I will say the pictures here don't do it proper justice! The inside was neat as a pin and all the little details were in place from soap and shampoo to dish wash and laundry detergent. We were impressed with the thoughtful details. Inside the house there were DVDs, games, books related to the National Park, a Ping-Pong table and pool toys. The house opens up to a two level deck with the first level offering comfy chairs, ceiling fans and lighting for the evening. The second level holds an outdoor dining set, grill, and fire pit. The outdoor pool is set off to the one side of the property surrounded by large comfortable adirondack chairs and a glider. The views from every angle of the property are amazing. Don't miss the sunset over the front of the property each night seen from the pool or the table and chairs in front of the house. This house is the perfect base to explore Sequoia NP. Be sure to take a side trip to Mineral King (and get some amazing pie from the Sliver City Resort!) and to King's Canyon. Both are well worth the drive. Pack a picnic lunch and be sure to return for a relaxing evening in this vacation home.

Owner response: Heather and Family, Sounds like you and your family enjoyed the Sequoia Park and Kings Canyon Park. Glad you enjoyed the cookies and the bread. Robin and I work as a team. I'm the cookie baker and Robin is the bread maker. Robin does a good job with our guest she works hard at trying to meet their needs and supply information about the area. Robin and her team of ladies do a great job of keeping the house clean and spotless for each guest as they come. My husband and I have always enjoyed the patio it has such a beautiful view of the mountains and the small town of three Rivers. The sunrises are beautiful and yes the sunsets are amazing. Sometine the sky is so red and pink you can't take your eyes off of it till it's gone. If you really want to see something beautiful be there when there is a full moon and you watch the moon come up over the top of the mountain , you can see the silhouette of the trees against the moon. We are so glad you had such a good time and enjoyed our home. Maybe someday you can come again. Thank you for the great review. We really appreciate our guest input on there stay at Sequoia Alta Vista. Again thank you. Gary and Mary owners.

Thanks so much for having us! What a lovely, tidy, perfect home and gorgeous view. We could barely get the kids out of the pool; they so thoroughly enjoyed swimming in it in the 100 degree heat. We loved the swimming holes in the park and the ice cream at Reimer’s. Everyone slept and ate well and the homemade bread & cookies were very thoughtful. We’ve stayed in many places and this was one of the most well-stocked, clean & comfy places ever! We hope to be back when we’re in this part of the state again.

This house is very well maintained and extremely clean. We enjoyed the large kitchen with all the necessary appliances. The back patio and the pool area were both very enjoyable. One of the nights we turned off all the lights and just laid down on the back porch to look at the stars...had a great quality time with our family. We were received with a warm bread on the kitchen counter, baked by Robin, the lady who represents the owners. She was very helpful at all times. We appreciated it. Our family of 5 (parents and 3 adult kids) stayed at Sequioa Alta Vista for our visit to Sequioa and Kings Canyon National Parks. The house was clean and comfortable and had a perfect layout to fit our needs. Following are the key highlights for this house, and the area in general: The Good: It was great having a place to come back to that felt like home (after staying in hotels & lodges, it was a really nice exerience). The kitchen was very well stocked with essentials. The master bedroom suite was large and comfortable. Two other bathrooms shared a nice sized bathroom. The deck in the back looked out onto the mountains, and was a nice place to have breakfast & dinner. One of our key factors in choosing this VRBO house was the swimming pool. It turned out to be a highlight for our family, especially since the local temperature in Three Rivers in early August was near 105F. We were able to hike in Sequoia at the higher elevations in relatively mild temperatures, then return in the afternoon and evening to relax in the chilled pool. Although the following things are not a reflection on the house itself, they are items that others should be aware of: Three Rivers is a small town that has the basic necessities of grocery store and Post Office, and a few small eateries, but it seemed to have pretty limited options for dining out. This did not affect our family much, since we had arrived with most of the provisions we needed for our meals at the house and for our outings to the National Parks. . Also, since one of our priorities was to visit Kings Canyon, it turned out that this house was a bit farther than I had expected to get to the northern sections of Kings Canyon. The slow pace of travel on the winding mountain roads need to be considered when planning for travel. Also, since there was construction on the main roads leading into Sequoia and Kings Canyon... we had to take those delays into account as well. The owner had made recommendations on the travel planning which were very helpful.

Owner response: Rick and family, We were happy to hear that you felt at home at our home in Three Rivers we try our best to give the house a comfortable homey feeling. Glad to hear that you enjoyed the pool it is a very refreshing pool especially if it is a very hot day. And while you and your family were visiting I believe we had several of those hot summer days. Three Rivers is a very quaint little town. Usually we reccomend people purchase groceries in Visalia before they go up to Three Rivers. And unfortunately mountain roads can take awhile for travel but worth it when you get there. The Parks are worth seeing and enjoying what they have to offer to visitors. We truly hope you and your family will come again for a longer stay. Thank you for the review hope to hear from you again. Gary and Mary owners.

This home was incredible. The pool, deck, kitchen, fruit trees and living space all exceeded our expectations. The master bed and bath was huge. The outside area was clean and private. The deer loved the fruit trees. I expected to be in the valley from the description but it was right on the top where you could see all the way around with porches on front and back. No neighbors were close enough to hear or see you. Our only disappointment was that we had not planned to stay longer. The kitchen was large and well proportioned if you cook like we did. The owner was great, available for questions and extremely nice. She left the best cookies ever for us on arrival. We have stayed in many rental homes with great experiences but this one far exceeded any of the others.

Owner response: Laurie, Thank you so much for the kind comments you have made in regards to our Three Rivers home. Glad to hear that you enjoyed the views , every room has a view. You probably met Robin she is our manager and she does a great job with our guests. Glad you enjoyed the cookies. I understand this trip to Sequoia Alta Vista was a short one. Our stay at the Sequoia Alta Vista was everything we hoped for and more. From the great communications from Robin before our stay, our seamless arrival, the fresh baked bread that welcomed us, the amazing views and proximity to Sequoia and Kings Canyon - every need was met. This home is accurately portrayed here but the views just can't be described well enough. Every window has a view - even doing dishes in the kitchen was lovely because of the mountain view you can look out to. The home is well equipped, no need to stock up on laundry soap, picnic supplies (like paper plates, napkins, etc) or condiments before arriving. There are games, puzzles, tons of local information, hair dryers, an ipod dock...everything has been thought of and provided. The pool was a great feature. It was very hot while we were there and although in the mountains it was cool, when we'd return to town at night it was quite uncomfortable. We looked forward to jumping into the pool each day after our hikes! My only complaint for this house is that we didn't stay long enough. The four days we had weren't long enough for us to even touch the amazing beauty the parks had to offer. Quite honestly, I would have just loved to have stayed in the home a few days to relax too - it was just that wonderful! If you are planning to stay here - plan for at least a week. Lastly, as almost every other reviewer has claimed - Robin is a gem! We had a small freak out moment on the day we were leaving and I called Robin to help us out. She made this mom feel more at ease with the situation and even followed up with me after to make sure everything turned out okay.

Owner response: Deb and family, thank you so much for the great review. We appreciate the lovely comments you made about our home. The views out of the house are spectacular. That was one of the things that drew Gary and I to the house. We try our best to keep the house well stocked with all the basics so our guests don't have to worry about the little things. Glad to hear that you all enjoyed the pool especially after a long day at the park. The poolstays at 70 degrees most of the time in the summer which is very refreshing when it is 100 plus. Robin is a definite plus for us she truly enjoys her job and goes out of her way to try and meet the needs of our guests. We hope you will come back soon and stay with us again. Hopefully a little longer next time. Thanks again for the great review. Gary and Mary owners

The pictures of the home really don't it justice. It is clean throughout and is well stocked. We didn't use alot of our pantry items as the house already had them (from popcorn to spices to syrup). They also had coolers for guests to use when hiking. Little things like this show that the owners and manager went the extra mile. Robin was a pleasure to work with and was very helpful in answering all of our questions. With a family of 5 we were thrilled to have enough space to enjoy our vacation. The week we were there was unseasonably warm, but the house was close to the park and it was nice to have a pool to relax in after hiking in the park all day. Don't miss Crystal Cave....the kids thought it was the highlight of the trip We cannot wait to be back and would stay at Sequoia Alta Vista without any hesitation. Highly recommend!!

By the time we finally drug into Three Rivers on Saturday night, it was already pretty much dark but the directions given to us by Robin were very good to get to the home. To say the least my family was very impressed with the home as we took the quick tour before going to bed that night. They are even more impressed when they saw the mountain and lake views from the top of the hill where the home sits in the morning. We had our married daughter, her husband and their daughter (our only grandchild to date) with us in one room. We also had our other daughter and her fiancee with us (they were not engaged when I booked the home for the trip. It was nice that her fiancee could take the third bedroom and we blew up the queen mattress for our daughter. There was plenty of bedroom space, bedding and the staples needed. In fact, we probably should have checked the home prior to shopping at the grocery store in Visalia because we could have save a little by not purchasing extra mayo, mustard, ketchup, etc. which was already in the fridge. We found lots of extra toiletries for the small items that sometimes get left behind. We had a great time visiting Sequoia and Yosemite during our trip. We also enjoyed some evening walks around the nice neighborhood below the home and saw lots of birds and several blacktail deer that fed by the home at dusk. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Three Rivers at Sierra Alta Vista and can definitely recommend it heartily.

Owner response: Morris and family, Sounds like you all enjoyed your stay at Sequoia Alta Vista. We were happy to hear how much you enjoyed our home. It's quite a hill from our home it's a great walk for the exercise plus a beautiful view while walking. We are glad you enjoyed the Sequoia Park it is a beautiful place to spend time. Also congradulations on the engagement of your daughter you will have a very busy time ahead of you. But also alot of fun. We hope you and your family can come again. Thank you for the nice review we appreciate you taking the time to write something. Thanks again, Gary and Mary (owners)

This was our second visit to this wonderful home, and it proved to be just as great as our first. After quite a stressful and busy year, we thought about where we would like to ring in the New Year, and Sequoia Alta Vista was the first thing that came to mind. This home is beautiful and comfortable, and everything you could want is provided. Since our last visit, the owners have added a cozy fire pit on the patio and a ping pong table in the garage. And the always-friendly manager, Robin, makes sure that you have everything that you need. The Park is lovely in the winter, and we took advantage of the hiking down low and the snow fall higher up in the Park. I can't think of a better place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Sequoia/Three Rivers!

The house on the top of the mountain is a great place to stay - probably the nicest in Three Rivers. My sister and I stayed for 2 nights. The home was spotless, beds extremely comfortable and the bathrooms are great. The master bathroom is almost as big as the bedroom! The views are great and it is close to Sequoia National Park. We didn't go in the pool - a little too chilly - but it was clean and inviting. Overall, it's a great place to stay. We would consider staying there again.

Owner response: Linda, We are so glad that you and your sister, Joyce picked Sequoia Alta Vista as a place for the two of you to come and spend time with each other. Thank you for the remark of how clean and spotless the house was, Robin works very hard to keep our home in Three Rivers spotless and beautiful for our guest to enjoy. The masterbathroom is a huge room, that was one of the selling points for us when we were looking to buy the home and we loved the views throughout the house even in the masterbathroom. The home is a very restful and relaxing place to spend time. We hope you and your sister will come again. Thank you for the nice review. We are glad you enjoyed your time in Three Rivers. My wife and I spent a week at Sequoia Altavista and were delighted with the place. The house is excellent and the view couldn't be better. Everything is within reach. After our daily hiking at the park it was nice coming home to relax and soothe at the pool. One day we just stayed the whole time there. Thanks for letting us enjoy your house. Robin even got me a bike to try some of the mountain bike trails. We'll definitely would like to come back to Three Rivers.

This house was everything VRBO described and more. The views are really fantastic. The accomodations were great for a group of 8 - 4 adults,3 - 2 year old boys and 1 -8 year old girl. The pool was a big hit with the kids. The property was in excellent shape and made it easy to move right in and enjoy the location while feeling "at home". Recommend this property for anyone interested in a great location with excellent proximity to Sequoia. The town of Three Rivers has allyou need, stores, restaurants etc.Recommend the Gateway Inn/Restaurant for great food and terrific view of creek.

I stayed here with my family for a week in August, while visiting Sequoia Kings Canyon National Park. This is a great place to call home while visiting the park. It’s very private and peaceful, with absolutely incredible views. The kids loved the pool. My husband and I appreciated the extra space. If you are planning to cook, stock up before you get there – not many stores in Three Rivers. The house is a short (~15 min) ride to the Park gate. Hit a visitor’s center for some trail maps. Some of our favorite hikes were: Crystal Cave (do the tour, it’s definitely worth it – buy same day tickets early in the day at the visitor’s center), Crescent Meadow, Moro Rock (hike to the top), Big Trees trail, General Sherman Tree and onto Congress Trail, Tokopah Falls, General Grant Tree trail. We didn’t do much in town, but did enjoy ice cream at Reimer’s Candies and breakfast at We Three Bakery.

Staying in this Three River's Home was a great experience for us. The house itself had a gorgeous view, good size for our family of six, had everything we needed(including tootpaste and other necessities tucked away in bathroom cabinets labeled "in case you forgot"), several movies for both children and adults and ofcourse the pool. The house was so great we hardly wanted to leave. We did explore Sequoia and the town of Three River's. Robin even offered to show us her favorite river spot. Both Robin and the owners were very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this home.

Owner response: Cristina,we are so glad to hear that you and your family enjoyed your stay in Three Rivers. The house does offer beautiful views out of almost every window. Gary and I have always enjoyed the pool. It's always very refreshing, a little on the cool side, but feels so good when it is over 100 degrees outside. Robin definitely knows where all the good river spots are up there. Robin does a great job with our guest. Again we are so glad you all had a good time and a nice vacation. From the pictures, we were expecting a nice home, but what we got was a spectacular home! WOW were we surprised! This is by far the best home our family has stayed in via VRBO and we've stayed in a lot of homes. The photos don't do it justice and the stunning panoramic vistas are on all sides. The home was perfectly built to highlight the views - huge windows in every room (even the bathroom), beautiful, large decks in the front and back and then they've placed comfy furniture on the decks so that it's enjoyable inside and out. My favorite part of our trip was enjoying coffee in the morning on the back porch and a glass of wine in the afternoon on the front porch. Robin was so welcoming - we arrived to fresh baked brownies, beverages in the fridge (adult and kid) and everything we'd need in the pantry for cooking - food and tools. They had ample towels and my kids didn't want to leave because the beds and bedding was so comfy (they asked if they could take it home!). The house was very family/kid friendly but was upscale to satisfy the adults. They had games, magazines, movies, etc. It was amazing. The pool area was stocked with toys and furniture as well - WOW - we didn't want for one thing and certainly didn't want to leave. It was a short drive into the park and was very close to the town and turnoff for Mineral King. There were lots of other things to do but we only stayed 3 days and wished we'd been there a week. Robin even volunteered to set us up with local friends for hikes, sightseeing and even knitting! :-) We would definately stay in this house again and recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.

Owner response: Alicia We are so glad to hear how much you and your family enjoyed our Three Rivers home. We feel very blessed to have people come and enjoy the views and our home. Glad to hear that your children enjoyed it as well. You mentioned the decks, that is one of our favorite things about the house. You'll have to come visit sometime in the fall. It is really nice to sit out there and smell the fresh air and enjoy the beauty of the mountains. We feel very fortunate to have Robin, she works hard at making sure people enjoy what the town of Three Rivers and the Sequoia Park has to offer. Hard to believe something that beautiful is right out our back door. Thank you for the great review, and again, we are glad you and your family had a great time and enjoyed our home. This property is everything that it is represented to be and more! There are breathtaking views from every side of the house. The first night we slept under the stars on the back patio (on mats which are provided) and the next morning we were greeted by a beautiful deer that was grazing in the lot next to us. There are numerous birds circling nearby. Everything that you could need is provided and the manager could not be nicer or more accommodating. The two largest bedrooms are at opposite sides of the house, so this is an ideal home for two families to share. Hiking, white water rafting, fishing and other activities are just minutes away. A fantastic place to stay if you are headed to Sequoia National Park.

I was planning a road trip to Sequoia National Park with a few friends, and renting this gorgeous property was undoubtedly the best decision we made on the trip. I have rented homes through vrbo on past trips, but Robin, who helped us out with this reservation, was one of the most polite, helpful and professional agents I have ever worked with. She was quick to respond via phone and email, and gave us detailed directions as well as information about activities/dining in the area. On reaching the home, we were surprised to find a bottle of champagne and freshly baked cupcakes waiting for us on the kitchen counter, along with a little card welcoming us. The house itself is beautifully done with attention to detail, one can clearly tell that the owners set it up with a lot of love. Because of its hilltop location, it has spectacular 360° views of lake Kaweah as well as the hills around. And with sweltering triple digit temperatures in Three Rivers that weekend, the pool was the perfect place to be in! Th kitchen is well equipped, and the pantry was well stocked when we arrived. The house also has sufficient extra linens in case you need them, and the owners were nice enough to provide an inflatable mattress as we were a slightly bigger group. Another thoughtful touch was that they had put together a folder of restaurant menus, flyers for activities in the area, maps etc.which was very useful while planning things. The location is very convenient too, it's barely 15-20 minutes from the park entrance. During the trip, one of us forgot a little something at the house, and Robin was nice enough to mail it back to me without us even asking for it. The house is perfect, as is evident in the pictures, but the fact that you're dealing with really nice people makes the whole experience even more special.

Owner response: Ameya, Thanks so much for being our first guest in our home at Three Rivers. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you so much for your great review, we greatly appreciate it. And yes, the pool is very refreshing when it is hot. We have also enjoyed the pool in the summer time. And Robin has proved to be a great manager and host on our behalf . We feel fortunate to have her. We hope you will come again. Thank you Gary and Mary, Owners.

This home is amazing. The views are unbelievable. I have to warn you though - If you stay even one night you'll never want to leave. The photos on this website are great but they don't come close to capturing the beauty of this area. When you stand in front of the house you feel like you're king of the world! The house is very nice and spacious with plenty of room and privacy. The deck on the back of the house is great for entertaining, looking up at the millions of stars or just sun bathing. If you come to Three Rivers you have to stay here!
