This beautiful home on the edge of the marsh is newly renovated and newly furnished! The new IPE deck and pool were added to provide you with the complete Kiawah Island vacation experience! Take a short bike ride to the beach in the morning, relax by the pool in the afternoon!
The pool is 24 feet long, and has a bench along the entire length so you can relax in the water and look out across the marsh at the snowy egrets and ospreys. The deck was built around a beautiful old live oak that provides wonderful shade over the outdoor dining area. The screened in porch has a full seating area and a cafe table and chairs.
The home is situated on a large lot that juts out into the marsh, so the pool, deck and screened in porch are essentially surrounded by marsh on three sides, providing maximum privacy and wonderful evening ocean breezes.
The master bedroom on the second floor has a king size bed, and private deck overlooking the pool and marsh. And an amazing steam shower. Also located on the second floor is a guest suite with a king size bed and private bath, and a family suite. The family suite consists of two bedrooms connected by an internal hall and shared bath. One of the bedrooms has a king size bed and is literally situated in the branches of the old live oak, and looks out across the marsh. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and a wonderful window bench that pulls out into a full size bed!
On the first floor there are two more guest suites, each with private baths! One of these suites is surrounded by windows, and has a private door out onto the deck and pool, and queen size bed. The other quest suite has a king size bed.
All of the bedrooms have ceiling fans, and flat screen televisions with built in DVD players.
The living room provides plenty of seating, with french doors that open out onto the deck, and is equipped with a a large flat screen television, DVD/VCR, Ipod and MP3 player connected to built in speakers in the living area and screened in porch, and a wonderful selection of DVDs and VCRs for your viewing pleasure.
The kitchen is brand new, and was designed by someone who loves to cook! New cabinets, a Viking Professional 4 burner gas range and french door refrigerator, and old fashioned wood work tables and stools provides a comfortable easy work area. The kitchen is open to the dining area, which has a long wood farm table that seats 10-12.
And the laundry room next to the kitchen has a cold drink and ice cream refrigerator/freezer, and a second microwave!
Centered between the living room, dining room and screened in porch is a lovely sun room furnished with a designer couch and Lane recliners. The perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning as the sun is beginning its move across the marsh, or enjoy a good book (or a nap!) in the afternoon, while still part of the action since it also opens out onto the deck and pool.
The home is also situated in the midst of the Osprey Point golf course, and close to the Ocean Course. The beach access point has parking available, making transporting beach gear and non- bike riders a breeze. This part of the beach borders the Ocean Course and is pristine and absolutely beautiful!
In the fall, winter and spring the pool can be heated for an additional charge.

Judy W from Dacula, GA recommends this vacation rental. We had a wonderful stay! The home was lovely and fit perfectly with our family of 7 adults and 4 children. We rented a crib for the smallest member of the family, bikes for 5 adults and 1 child. The rest came by car with us. The pool and screened porch were the most popular locations during our stay. There was always a breeze off the Marsh to cool us a little in the "heat wave"!! Also, we loved that the pool didn't have a deep end (about 5 feet max) so that the children could play and we didn't have to worry about them. The size was perfect for our family as well. Pam Harrington Exclusives was very responsive for the couple of issues that we had with the rentals and WiFi. It is also most important to be able to get prompt resolution when necessary. We have rented through PHE several times and always pleased with their pleasant attitude and sense of urgency to make a visit as perfect as possible. A week goes very quickly and it is a blessing when you can spend every minute of that time enjoying the environment and not trying to clear up issues. We would recommend this property to anyone who does not want to be at ocean front. It worked perfectly for our needs. Thank you, PHE, for making our vacation easy to arrange and give us a peace of mind that it would go smoothly. Thanks to the homeowner who left excellent organized equipment and extras (TVs, DVD players, etc.) to make it comfortable for everyone!! A perfect family vacation

Stayed 7 days in June, 2012. My extended family met at 417 Snowy Egret to spend a week together. The house was beautiful, large enough to accommodate the group yet structured in a way that facilitated closeness at meal and movie time. Initially being on a marsh and being 1.6 miles from the beach kind of bummed us out, to be honest. But wait ! The marsh is positively meditative with the egrets and other birds flying in and out . So incredibly peaceful and a delightfully natural. AND riding the bike to the beach (10 minutes) was fun and something we looked forward to- a bit of exercise, which was a bonus. There is a pool we retired to after spending time at the beach. Fans are in nearly every room. There were needed products for everyday necessities- laundry, kitchen, and bathroom.
