This 800 square foot waterview cottage offers the perfect getaway place for singles, couples, families, and groups of friends. It's fully equpped so you can settle in easily for a few days, a week or a month.
With your own kitchen, you can grab your morning coffee and plan out your day on the front porch. You can pack a picnic lunch and be gone all day at the shallow, sandy beach in town or at the gravel beach at the state park. The main road along the bay is a summer thoroughfare for walkers, bikers, and skaters. Bike and kayak rentals are available for those not bringing their own. Don't miss the C Shop for popcorn, ice cream and homemade candy!
The popular waterslides open mid-June as does the miniature golf/go-kart concession, both on the Birch Bay-Lynden Road coming in to town. The small local par 3 golf course is challenging. There are also several 18 hole courses nearby.
Semiahmoo Spit offers walking and biking surrounded by water and gorgeous sunsets at the end of the day. Blaine, 5 miles to the north, is the site of several summer weekend festivals. The Plover takes visitors for short rides between Blaine Harbor and Semiahmoo every summer weekend.
The weeklong Blaine Jazz Festival in mid-July provides opportunities to listen to free music daily as well as to attend evening performances by guest artists and the student musicians.
Farther afield, check out Bellingham, about 20 miles south, or Lynden to the east for antiquing and good Dutch cooking. Five miles north is the Canadian border--but be sure you have your passport or enhanced driver's license, needed to return to the US.
At the end of the day heat up the grill for a cookout at the cottage while the kids play in the big front yard. Several local restaurants serve family-friendly food near the water. Our family often does hot dogs at Semiahmoo Spit over an open fire or salmon on a grill at the state park.
This two bedroom, one bath cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, stack washer/dryer, satellite TV with DVD and VCR players, a gas log stove in the living area, lawn chairs, gas and charcoal grills, and beach toys for the kids. Sleeps four in beds with twin and queen airbeds available for more.
This cottage is two hours north of Seattle. The Canadian border is 15 minutes away. The public beach access is 5 minutes DRIVING time from the house. There is NO separate cleaning fee (see rates).

This was a great home that I feel lucky to have found on short notice. I simply needed to get away from the stress of my life, but of course, I wanted a view and/or to be near the water, at a reasonable price, with only two weeks notice. This worked out perfectly. Jennifer was very easy to work with, and I very much enjoyed my time away. The photos and description of the property were accurate. I found the neighborhood to feel safe and only saw glimpses of a couple of neighbors during my 4 day stay. I did not find the bed to compare to my Tempurpedic, but what bed does? Otherwise, I found everything I needed, had no problems or surprises and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I would definitely consider this property again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

This little cottage is set in an ideal location. It is quiet, very clean, complete with DVD, a full kitchen, wood stove, and the best part, you are moments away from the quaint village of Birch Bay. Set in a tranquil neighborhood, the property is well maintained, and with its beautiful porch, a most relaxing time. I am trying to think of a draw back, but, cannot.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We had a lovely time at this little house. The kids had lots of room to throw around the football and Frisbee. The CShop was a very popular spot for the kids (ice cream and excellent baked goods). Lynden had a very nice museum with a few good antique stores. This is a good spot for getting around shopping and there are a lot of very nice restaurants which are all within a short drive. Casino not far away, for those who enjoy that kind of thing. We were here a week and we could have been here longer. The area is so quiet and peaceful. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a quiet retreat or to go exploring to the San Jaun Islands or spend time shopping.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.
