This was our first stay at this condo. It was clean and spacious. Perfect for small children, or children of any age. Steps from the pool and the beach. Very convenient location. we will be staying at this condo every year.

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We just got back from our vacation last night! We spent 6 nights at the condo, and I honestly can't think of anything about it we didn't like. I do have to say: if you are looking for plasma screen TVs and granite countertops, this is not the place for you! If you are the laid-back type who is looking for a very comfortable, wonderfully located GREAT deal, this is it! We took our 3-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter, and the condo was perfect for us. We spent a lot of time on the beach, and since we always forget something, being so close to "home" was a big plus. Reserved parking was very convenient, and the luggage carts were a super bonus! Last time we stayed on Okaloosa Island, we stayed in a lovely condo, but it was on the third floor and had no elevator. This first floor location was a nice change. We didn't get to use the pool much, because it was cold! I don't know if the management doesn't turn on the heat until later in the year or what, but it was not heated during our stay. Not a big deal! The Gulf was a perfect temperature. =0) The kids had a blast with our beach toys plus the ones they found in the closet. We had one mishap: my son decided to be a stuntman and ended up with a big cut on his temple at 9:00 on Sunday night. Luckily for us, there was a list of hospitals and clinics on the fridge! Our trip to the pediatric ER at Ft. Walton Medical Center was 2 hours from leaving the condo to getting back. That's a pretty quick ER trip. One thing that I wanted to point out for prospective renters (and this was my mistake, NOT the owners'!) is that there is no wifi in the condo itself, but we were able to pick up a signal from someone nearby. My husband wants me to mention that the water pressure in the showers was great! We've had experience with low-pressure showers in other places, and these were nice! Also - if you are not from the South, be aware that there are going to be "critters" around. My kids were fascinated by the millipedes all over the sidewalks. We didn't see any of the dreaded "palmetto bugs," though. Oh, and one more thing: yes, the sliding doors are foggy. It's salt. Facing the Gulf as they do, it's going to happen, and there's really not much that can be done about it! C'est la vie! The beach was awesome. We saw dolphins, a stingray, a few big jellyfish, and Santa Claus! Seriously! He walked by twice and waved & winked at the kids! I think it was their favorite part of the trip!

BEST bargain on Okaloosa Island

We just got back today from a stay in this condo. This was an all adults trip, no kids! When we arrived, the condo was clean and neat. The location made it easy to go to and from the beach when we needed to run in and get something. We found it to be a great bargain for the island. This condo is as close to the pool as you can get! If we brought our kids, this is ideal because they have a grassy play area right outside the door that is helpful to keep small children entertained. We were very pleased and will be staying with them again. :)

I have stayed at this condo several times and will return again as we always have had a great experience there. The owners are so accomodating and the place is as comfortable as home. Like it very much. It is always cleaned and well equiped. And the proximity to the beach and the pool is just great.

Very OutDated

If you like the movie Animal House then this is the unit for you! Upon our arrival after 18 hours of driving we found the unit open for the world to see it was dirty very outdated. It took us an hour to clean the unit up. Then we wanted to take a shower to freshen up only to find out there was only a couple of towel that were filled with holes and stained Oh and the dirty one behind the master bedroom door so that made us wash the sheets. Then there is the sliding door issue they were both so dirty that you couldnt see out of them not to mention that they both were very hard to open and close and that they had sharp metal edges on the locks that would have cut our 2 year olds finger if it wasnt for the bandaids that we had to put around them. Out of the 4 units that my family rented this was by far the worst one.If it wasnt for the fact that we have been coming here for 15 years and rented other units we would never have stayed here. So in all we will not stay in this unit again it needs MAJOR work done in it.I am hoping for some kind of compensation for all of the miss leading info that was printed about the unit.

Owner response:We find this review to be very mean-spirited and not totally truthful. Our condo is NOT Animal House like. It is a very comfortable, well maintained, and nicely furnished unit with all the amenities listed on the site. There is NO misleading information. It is exactly how the pictures show it to be. Sometimes things happen that are beyond our control and the housekeeping mishap was one of those due to a miscommunication with the service. This situation has been remedied. The sliding doors were not dirty but suffer from an accumulation of moisture between the two panes of glass. These are scheduled to be replaced in August. The condo maintainance man does not see the sharp edges mentioned. One thing the reviewer failed to mention was the generous discount he received from us. He paid far from full price. We realize that in this business you can't please everyone and we do have many happy repeat customers. So if you are kind people looking for a comfortable and affordable place for your vacation PLEASE don't let this review prevent you from trying us. Thank you for your understanding.
