  We stayed here for 8 nights, the accommodations were clean, comfortable and very quiet. There were 6 of us in our party and we all fit well in the space. There is everything you need to cook with available in the kitchen. Lots of items to choose from in the chests on the veranda for the beach. We had a great time and felt very comfortable, would recommend this place to other families. You do require a vehicle to get around but most people rent a car on vacation, parking is interesting, very steep hills, but most days we had no problems finding a spot close to the house, the owners do provide parking in their driveway but our rental was monsterous. All in all we really enjoyed this place.

  We were a group of 7 (4 adults,3 kids) and stayed for 11 nights. This was our first trip to Oahu. We all were very happy with the accommodations. There was enough beds for everyone, and it was the perfect size house. Very comfortable and relaxing. We all loved having breakfast on the lanai and viewing the amazing scenery. The house was very clean and well organized. The owners of the house Cristin And Soo were very friendly and helped us out with some information on what to do and where to go. The location was great, everything was just a short drive away. We definitely would not hesitate to return on a future visit.

  Three couples enjoyed our Hawaii vacation at this location. The house was very comfortable and we enjoyed the space. It was a great location and we really enjoyed the views from the house. We fixed many meals here and enjoyed the kitchen and dining room. The pictures on the web site certainly were accurate. The property was very clean and we also appreciated the use of the washer and dryer. The owners were there to answer our questions. We would certainly recommend this house for a family or a few couples. It was very relaxing

  This is a great rental for enjoying Oahu. The house is exactly like the photos with lots of comforts and space to relax. We are in our early 60's and stayed for ten days with another couple. We followed the advice from another review and stocked up on food, fresh fish and plenty of wine. It was a great idea. We saved a lot by eating breakfast at home, packing a picnic lunch for our day trips, and cooking most dinners on the grill and in the well-equipped kitchen. We loved spending time on the lanai with the truly spectacular view of Diamond Head and Waikiki. This is an excellent location for day trips in any direction on the island. We enjoyed numerous beaches and snorkeling. Equipment is available at the house. Recommended activities include hiking Diamond Head Trail, Manoa Falls, visit to Lyon Arboretum, snorkeling at Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve and visit to Pearl Harbor. The owners were available, very helpful and friendly and offered great suggestions on things to do. If you are looking for a great restaurant, we would highly recommend "Town." This is a great place for an island vacation.

  Traveling from Australia with a party of 6, age ranges 5 to 66, this property proved to be a perfect spot to commence our Hawaiian holiday. If you find hotels sterile and standard unit/apartments not much better then this is the place for you. I’d guess the house dates from the 1950s and considerable effort has been put into maintaining the feel of this era, with a lovely array of features from authentic looking fittings in the bathrooms to a vintage ice-cream scoop. Everything worked beautifully and the relaxed welcoming feel was just what we needed. Friendly but not intrusive hosts downstairs and fabulous views from the lanai were excellent. Despite the number of people we had there was plenty of room for everyone (even the baby gecko who paid us a visit.) One small touch we really appreciated was the range of Hawaiian children’s picture books left on the shelves. Our girls devoured these and it really enhanced their appreciation of local culture.

  Our family just spent Christmas vacation on Oahu had a wonderful time. We’d been on Oahu twice before, staying at a Waikiki hotel once and a Waikiki condo once. For Christmas week we wanted to treat our adult children to a Hawaiian vacation and looked for a more affordable option. We found it and more. Cristin and Soo were gracious hosts who gave us great advice on some not so typical visitor activities. We found beaches within 15 minutes driving distance that had only 5 or 6 other visitors. . We went on a hike Christmas Eve to Maunawili waterfall. Christmas day we went to Kailua Beach Park on the Windward side of the island. The kids got good advice on where to surf. The 3-bedroom rental had plenty of room to spread out. We made our first stops after we picked up our rental car at Costco and Tamashiro Market (for outstanding fish) as we intended to eat a lot of our meals at home. The kitchen had plenty of refrigerator and cabinet space for the food we purchased and was equipped with everything we needed. We used the dining room once for a more formal Christmas Eve dinner but mostly grilled a lot and ate our meals on the lanai, enjoying the fantastic view of Diamond Head and the ocean. It rained frequently during the 12 days we were in Hawaii but since the rain squalls were short and the sun was soon shining we saw a lot of rainbows from the lanai. We’d try to make it back by sunset because the sunsets were so incredibly beautiful. Friday night we had a nice surprise when we were able to see the fireworks over Waikiki while we were enjoying our pre-dinner cocktails. The clean, well-maintained rental had a cute retro Hawaiian style, the beds were comfortable and the view was as advertised, fantastic. Compared to our Waikiki experiences we were thrilled with all the room and privacy we had and the ability to cook, grill and do laundry. I'd definitely recommend this for an affordable, lovely place to stay on Oahu for a family or 2 or 3 couples that want to vacation together.

  We just spent the last 10 days in Honolulu and had an incredible experience, Cristin and Soo were incredible hosts and and very knowledgable about what to do and where to go on the island. The home was very spacious, the kitchen was loaded with everything you need. The master bed had a new mattress and very comfortable. We didn't use the dining room or the living room much as we spent most of our time (when not sight seeing) on the Lanie. We would wake up early, see the sun rise over the pacific, light up diamond head and then in the evening have cocktails and watch the sun set in the ocean behind wakiki. The evening view of wakiki strip was like looking at nighttime post card. We found ourselves at the end of a day of sightseeing saying, lets go home. So if your wanting to go on a beautiful vacation and feel like you at home at the end of the day, this is the place to be. This listing and photos seen on the site are accurate, the property was very clean, owners extremely helpful, would definately recommend to friends, you must check out Pearl harbor, hunama bay, polinesian cultural center, and if your up for a fiver star restuarant go to Alan Wongs.
