If you are looking for a great experience in the northwoods; come to the Williams' Rockin W - located on 3 wooded acres. This lovely cabin is on beautiful 52 acre Long Lake with 450 feet of frontage and a sandy beach with perfectly clear water. Enjoy splashing in the shallow waters off the beach (perfect for the kids), paddling or canoeing around the lake, or fishing for bass, northerns, perch, crappie, or bluegill. There is a deck overlooking the lake, and a separate screen porch, for relaxing. There are lots of hiking trails close by, and a great fire pit next to the water to have that evening campfire, toast marshmallows, and enjoy the starry sky! This is where you come to escape from it all and be able to just relax and enjoy nature. Watch the eagle soaring overhead, and hear the call of the loons on the lake. Deer and the occassional black bear can be seen in the area.
We are within 3 miles from a beautiful golf couse, and a short drive to 2 state parks: Amnicon Falls for a place to hike with exceptional scenic beauty, and Patterson Park, which has the tallest waterfall in the state of Wisconsin. It's only 30 miles to Hayward or 50 miles to Superior-Duluth which can be great day trips. For the adventurous, try canoing the scenic Brule River, canoes or kayaks can be rented for a fantastic trip down the Brule.
If you enjoy the outdoors, this cabin is for you. With a woodburning fireplace to keep you cozy, you can enjoy this cabin in any weather.
There are towels and bedding available, or you can bring your own. There is an additional housekeeping fee of $120.00, which guarantees that the cabin will be clean and ready to use when you arrive.. The kitchen is stocked with cooking utensils, pots and pans, dishes, etc, There is a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffee pot. Downstairs is a bath with a shower, and a small bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds (sleeps 4). The living room and dining area overlooks the lake, with cathedral ceiling and a loft. Up the spiral stairs there is a double bed in the loft, and a bedroom with a queen size bed, and a bath room with a tub. There is an air conditioner unit downstairs and also an air conditioner unit upstairs for those rare hot humid summer days - you can usually just open the windows and get the breezes off the lake.
We don't have good TV reception, so bring movies or a good book for those occassional rainy days. There are games available at the cabin, so you can enjoy some quality family time playing games or cards. There is a built in stone barbecue plus a weber grill available, plus all the BBQ tools needed. And you can enjoy your BBQ at the large table on the deck.
The pontoon boat at the dock is not operational. We use it as an additional fishing deck or a place to sit and sunbathe on the water. But there are 2 paddleboats, 2 canoes, an aluminum row boat, and all the paddles and flotation cushions, plus 4 life vests, available.
We hope you will love this area as much as we do. The property is also for sale, so if you really like it, make us an offer. We will not allow any showings of the property while it is being rented, so you don't have to worry about being disturbed during your stay.
The cabin is available for rental from May 1 thru the end of October.

About the owner: We live in Milwaukee and we are unable to get to the cabin as often as we used to, and really want people to be able to enjoy this wonderful property, and have as much fun as we have had at the Rockin W!
Why the Owner Chose Solon Springs:
We have owned vacation property in this area of the state for nearly 30 years, and have always loved the beauty of this area. It was always our chance to get away from it all and get 'up north'
