This house was perfect for a 12 person golf outing. The house was clean and well maintained, the master bedroom is huge and the house has tons of beds. This house also has several different areas to "hang out," which is perfect for a large group. These "hang out" areas include several decks, a sunroom, a living room, a dinning room, a basement recreation area and the master bedroom has a sitting area. Additionally there is a lot of room for parking. Shining Mountain Golf Course is less than a half mile away. We plan on returning to this house next summer. Jessica and Cory were very easy to work with. Jessica successfully found and mailed us several phone chargers that we managed to leave at the house!

Wonderful family-friendly vacation home
Wonderful family-friendly vacation home
Our stay here was wonderful. The location is very central, and accessible to a lot neat things to do in the area; the neighborhood itself is quiet and peaceful. The house was perfect for our family of six, grandparents, and aunt. There is a nook for everyone. Our favorites: grilling out on the deck, and sitting on the quiet porch or sun-room drinking coffee. Kitchen was well outfitted for home-cooking family meals. Overall, we loved our vacation here and have no complaints.

Wonderful time at this spacious home
Wonderful time at this spacious home
Our family had a terrific time at this spacious home. Although we could only stay three days here, we would highly recommend this home! Jessica, the daughter of the owners, couldn't have been more accommodating. She met us the first evening and provided answers to any questions we had and pointed out features of the home. This property is well maintained with many extras - rollerblades, bikes, games, basketballs, etc. It was clean, homey, and comfortable and certainly sleeps a large number of people! The kitchen was filled with ALL the extras from a bread machine to an apple peeler. It was stocked with all the spices and condiments anyone would need. The area the home was located in was as described and lovely. The decks on both sides of the home provided fun spots to read and enjoy the outdoors. We hope we have an opportunity to return again and highly recommend this home!

Pleasant, quite, homey.
Pleasant, quite, homey.
This home is new to the VRBO world, and we were the first to stay, so things were not quite ready for the four people and three dogs to stay. But the property managers made up for any problems that arose with quick and friendly response. The highlights of the house is it is in a very quite area, on a dead end street. The BBQ and back deck is very pleasant for evening meals. Great place for the dogs as there are open fields all around, the a dog run. The house shows bit wear but owners are working on getting it fully updated. They accommodated our request to arrive one full day early, and made our stay very pleasant. The master bedroom is very spacious and a nice jet tub. US Forest Service lands (Pikes National Forest) is just down the road 2 miles where you can bike, boat, hike, or just walk around. Pikes Peak is less 10 miles away and historic Manitou Spring, Garden of the Gods and Colorado Spring all within 25 miles. A good house to base out of for the outdoor activities.

Manager response: We were eager to accomodate the schedule change on such short notice although it was a challenge, especially being entirely new to the VRBO world. Hats off to our skilled property managers for the excellent response. We are glad that our first guests provided constructive feedback on the little things to improve and all suggestions have been followed up on to guarantee our future guests are adequately pampered. The 1000 square foot master bedroom has been a favorite of every female who has visited the house since we bought it. With the brand new second story deck off of it for warm weather enjoyment; the soap stone fireplace draws you there on the colder nights and is a wonderful sanctuary for any guests. The newly completed updates include a new trash compactor, new double ovens with convenction, and new sleeper sofa in the lower level rumpus room. Come enjoy all of the splendor that the Rocky Mountains offer in our home that is a local real estate favorite.

About: We decided to purchase our home in Woodland Park because it was a great area to raise our 3 kids. They are now parents themselves and the beautiful community of Woodland Park helped create an AP High School Chemistry teacher (former All State Runner), a U.S. Army Soldier who we sent wonderful Colorado tap water to when he was deployed to Afghanistan, and a health care lawyer who still found time to perform pro bono work while attaining her J.D. (A former Arizonia Wildcat, PAC-10 honorable mention) The softball equipment, ice skates, cross country skies and family bicycles are still there for use. Our grandchildren enjoy using their parents sports gear when they are there to visit. It is still the gathering place for our family even though my career has taken us to Georgia. (My husband is lucky enough to work from home!) Jessica, our eldest daughter, is the property manager and is Woodland Parks biggest fan. She can point you to all of the 'local' hidden gems. She is anxiously waiting for her Dad and I to return from Georgia, her sister from Boston and her brother from Alabama. This is not just a rental, but a home that is used to the laughter of a family and friends. This home holds so many great memories and we look forward to your family and friends adding to the collage. In fact, our guests who spent time last year, so enjoyed the house that they added their group portrait to the wall.
Why Woodland Park:
This house is the perfect location for all Colorado out door activities. The golf course is 2 blocks away. The bike path that leads into town or to Manitou Lake is a .8 mile beautiful stroll. There is ample parking in the 100 meter driveway and the 2 acre lot is one of the premeire flat lots in Woodland Park. The home is perfect for large groups, while allowing privacy when needed. There are 3 seperate decks, the second story deck, off of the 1000 square foot master sweet is optimal for star gazing and safely viewing the wild life. Enjoy the garden tub in the master suite and view Devil's Head in the distance. The home has a private setting, but is within walking distance of all of Woodland Park's ammenities. If you prefer to spend a night in, there is a full size pool table and foosball table. Or hold your own karoke party with the portable unit. The 61 inch television in the living room is perfect for all sporting events and the double oven kitchen allows for the easy creation of your favorite snacks. The sun room with floor to ceiling windows is the perfect place to read a book and enjoy the beautiful views.
