We arrived at Villa Eluna in the daytime. We were greeted by the lovely Jennifer who gave us a quick tour of the house. When we arrived all of the windows and doors in the villa were open. The breeze was lovely and the view was absolutely to die for!! We couldn't take enough pictures of the Petite Piton and the Caribbean Sea. Sunsets were magical. The pool is big and again faces the Piton and the Sea. We spent so much time in the pool and just lounging around by the pool. The Villa is modern, cool and nicely designed. We loved the way the concrete floors juxtaposed with the traditional louvered windows and the lush landscape. Even the path behind the house was pleasant to walk along. The kitchen is great - You can fix your eggs while taking in that amazing view. Keep the windows closed while lighting the burners though - the breeze can sometimes blow it out. We obviously chose to sleep in the master bedroom closest to the pool. Both rooms are big and the bed we slept in was very comfortable. The en suite has a shower for two and a view to the pool and the piton. The bedroom also has a walkout right to the pool - the first thing my husband did every morning was swim. We cooked a lot. At least breakfast everyday. And then we discovered Chef Basil. We had him cook a Creole meal for us. Needless to say it was sensational. You must get Chef Basil!! Ray the Gardner brought often brought us fresh fruit from the property - he was very sweet. We only went out twice. Once to Dasheene restaurant in the Ladera Hotel, which we liked a lot and once to the Great Room at Sugar Beach, which we loved. This was our first non-hotel vacation. We are converted. Villa Eluna is amazing. The staff friendly and nice. We tried to stay an extra week but the villa was booked. Until next year! xDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Undoubtedly, the island of St. Lucia is my new favourite place to vacation, and my stay at Villa Eluna is largely responsible for my new affinity! My fiancé and I just got back from our trip and it was wonderfully relaxing and romantic. The villa is simple but very beautiful. The fact that it is so open and airy is my favourite feature of this place. With recently updated major appliances, this made our stay comfortable and easy. The grounds are lush and very private, and the picture-perfect view of the petit piton is breathtaking. The pool was always clean and the perfect temperature to help keep you cool, especially in the hot and humid late afternoons. The beds are very comfortable The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Ray the gardener would often leave us freshly cut fruit in the morning outside the back door, still warm from the sun! Jennifer the housekeeper is always cheerful and was a joy to have around. Her attention to all the small details (i.e. fresh flowers daily in the bedrooms atop freshly laundered sheets, etc.) and the cleanliness of the villa was much appreciated by us. Staying at Villa Eluna is a guaranteed stress-free, easy-breezy relaxing vacation experience. I highly recommend it.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had such a nice, relaxing time at Villa Eluna in St. Lucia. The house was big, beautiful and airy. The property was clean and well maintained by a very warm gardener named Ray. Ray brings fresh fruit to the house sometimes, which we used for Smoothies. The cleaning person came every other day to make sure the house was in good order. We didnt need her as much as she wanted to come. She was very flexible as to when she would come to the house, which was perfect for us. We wanted a little extra privacy. The modern kitchen looked brand new, stainless appliances and marble counters were very nice. There are two very comfortable king beds in two nicely sized bedrooms. The shower in the Master Suite was very big and had dual shower heads. The house is situated in the perfect spot, its quite Private and then the view is just remarkable. The Piton mountain mountain is right outside of every window and the pool deck. We saw so many spectacular sunsets cascade against this World Heritage Site. We spent a lot of time at the house just relaxing by the pool and cooking at night. The pool was very refreshing to jump into in the middle of the day when the sun was most hot. We recommend getting the personal chef, Basil to come in and cook some very traditional West Indian food. It was a bit expensive, but worth it! Just make sure you tell him how spicey you like it. We like it hot! We also got a car for one or two days and did some touring around. There is a lot of very lush landscape and beautiful beaches to see. The black sand beach at Anse Chastinet, was very special. We loved the restaurant at the Ladera resort, and the Mango Tree at Stonefield Estates. There is also a helicopter tour thats amazing; book that early it gets booked up quickly. Water taxis are also a great way to get to the North End of the Island. The roads are very windy and if you have a weak stomach you might get a bit woozy in a fast taxi. There are lots of other things to do, that we will get to next time ;-) We recommend this villa to couples wanting to relax, have a little romance and be away from it all. Sadly were now back to the cold in Upstate New York, though were counting the days till we get back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My fiancé and I had a wonderful vacation at Villa Eluna. All the of windows and doors in the villa open up revealing the most inspiring view we have ever seen. The sea, and the mountain jump right out at you. You can just sit there and relax. The house was spacious, modern and clean. More than enough space for us. The king bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable, and covered in a good quality insect net. The pool deck was also quite large and private, the pool itself is a very nice size. The ceilings in the house are very high, and all the ceiling fans helped to keep things very cool. Everything worked great for us, theres a brand new coffee maker and plenty of silverware. The property manager was very attentive to our needs. She arranged a rental car for us for a few days, as well as some tours and excursions. Go on the Piton hike! The housemother, Jennifer kept the place clean and checked in on us every other day or so. Ray is the gardener - he's just the greatest. He brought us fruit for our smoothies. Mangoes and Papayas grow right on the property. We would recommend this villa to couples looking for a little romantic time alone, or 2 couples looking to have some fun together. The south side of the lsland is quiet. I think people with younger kids would like it too. There are a lot of nice beaches near by and daytime activities for active people.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We spent a week at Villa Eluna and had a wonderful time. The view from the deck and pool was spectacular and we spent several days just relaxing by the pool and admiring the view. We loved the design of the villa, which was modern and cool. We can also recommend the restaurant at the nearby Hotel Chocolat resort - amazing food and setting. The staff were very helpful, and really made us feel at home. We didn't have any issues with things not working at the villa (apart from the kitchen burners, which was solved by closing the shutters to reduce the breeze). We also found that the pictures on the website accurately reflected the villa. One small word of caution - the area surrounding the villa is to be transformed into a luxury resort over the next couple of years (search the net for Freedom Bay St Lucia). When we were there, they had just started on some preparatory road works, which weren't bothersome at all. But I'd imagine that they have some pretty major construction coming up over the next couple of years.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

The pictures did not accurately reflect the rental, they must have been taken awhile back. Upon arrival we were shocked by what the place looked like versus the pictures and the uncleanliness. Also so many things did not work in the house, lighting in the kitchen (under cabinets), fans, shower head missing, stove burners, DVD player, then the issue of supplies minimal glassware, kitchen towels, not enough toilet paper, paper towels or bath towels. The view however is spectacular and we highly recommend Chef Basil Caesar!!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 7/9

I can't say enough about the location and views, perfect! The staff are really friendly and the grounds are beautiful. We traveled with another couple and we found the bedrooms are hot, the fans are not above the beds and we thought standing fans would be a good idea. We wondered if the owners stay in the home because the kitchen isn't that great; the oven didn't work well, no coffee maker and no microwave are some of the things. We also had communication problems with the property manager regarding the food starter and the rental vehicle.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 6/7

We arrived at Villa Eluna after a long flight and pleasant drive from the international airport, which turned out to be quite easy with directions. Rent a car (we got a jeep and went top down) not super necessary, but its the best way to see the island. We arrived at the Villa at about 3PM and were greeted by a very friendly staff. The move in was fast and easy so we headed straight to the pool after our long journey. The pool was marvelous and the view even more breathtaking than the photos; we couldn't believe how lucky we felt at that moment. We spent the entire evening swimming and just taking it in. The Villa itself is big! High ceilings and very nicely designed and appointed. The best thing is that view follows you from every spot in the front of the house. The bedrooms are big and beds very comfortable. Ray the Gardener brought us fresh fruit from the property and Jennifer kept our towels and linens fresh. Big thank you to them for making our trip even more special. We also had a chef for two nights - We highly recommend that for amazing creole cooking. This is our 4th villa rental in Caribbean and definitely the best. Next year we'll bring the kids.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 8/8

We really had such a great time on our vacation to St. Lucia. Villa Eluna was the perfect place for rest, relaxation and a wonderful view. Its exactly as described and pictured but better. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave us tips on what to do around the area. They even brought us fresh fruit from the trees on the property. The pool was cool and crisp on hot days. We really enjoyed just laying out and swimming when we wanted to. The whole trip was relaxing and wonderful.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3
