Pine Lodge is a large chalet style home that overlooks beautiful Boone Lake and is nestled in the foot hills and mountains of Tennessee. Pine Lodge is located in a lake neighborhood close to shopping and activities. There are very few large home rentals on Boone Lake and Pine lodge is one of the larger vacation rentals in the area.. As soon as you enter the home the room is warm and inviting. You will love a blazing fire in these fireplaces. The house has a rhythm that matches its lakeside location. Pine Lodge is in a lake neighborhood with a wooded lot on one side, several beautiful lake homes located around the front and side and a lakeside condo community. This home is close to grocery stores, shopping and activities. You will have your own dock at the neighborhood dock area 1 block from the house. You can walk to the dock or pack up your car with everything you will need for a day out on the water and leave the car parked at the dock area while you are out on the boat. Pine Lodge has a very large yard with a privacy fence and plenty of room to park a boat trailer and several cars. The large fenced yard has a horse shoe pit and a fire pit great for cool summer evenings so the kids roast marshmallows your family will enjoy the many lake activities on one of the most beautiful areas of Boone Lake. Cook out on the large deck. The lodge is perfect for large family gatherings, guys fishing trips, NASCAR weekends, or for a couples retreat.
Boone Lake is a 32 mile long, TVA Lake with 130 miles of shoreline and days of new discovery. TVA lowers the lake in the winter and water is back to normal height the mid April, Fish, swim, or rent a Pontoon Boat and spend the week exploring the lake. Enjoy lunch, dinner & live entertainment at Lakeview or Sonny's Marinas.
Cherokee National Park, the Appalachian Trail, or Nolichucky River rafting are minutes away. Roan Mountain and Bays State Parks are close by for sightseeing. Beautiful mountain golfing is within 15 minutes. Bristol and the NASCAR races are within 30 minutes. Enjoy the Biltmore House in Asheville, NC about 1 hour away. Snow skiing is 45 minutes to Wolfe Laurel or 90 minutes to Beach Mountain & Banner Elk. Gatlinburg is 90 minutes.
Enjoy antique shopping in Jonesborough the oldest city in Tennessee. Jonesborough has a Story telling festival and has a quaint downtown shopping 12 miles away. Enjoy wine tasting at Country side vineyards. For the golf lovers, there are several beautiful courses surrounded by mountains views, just minutes away.
The house is a chalet style home; as soon as you walk through the front door you will see the heart of the lodge's main area. The floor to ceiling stone fireplace runs through the center of the entire house. This room is warm and inviting. You will love a blazing fire in these fireplaces. The house has a rhythm that matches its lakeside location. Summer weekend life at the lodge is a jumble of bathing suits, suntan lotion, laughter, food, family, and fun.
The house's decor is fully appointed in a fitting lodge and fishing theme. The main level consists of a Grand room combination, kitchen, dining room and living area. The entire front of the house is windows, with great views of the lake from most areas of the house. . The loft is perched above the main area overlooking the grand room below. It's a wonderful place to sit and enjoy your morning cup of coffee while over looking the lake. The loft also has a large bedroom and small bathroom. The main level has two bedrooms and a full bath.
A flag flies from the front deck, where life is measured in counting boats on the lake in the morning and sipping glasses of wine and watching the sun set as the day wears down. The wrap around deck extends the living area with wicker furniture and 2 dining sets with plenty of seating area. Enjoy a cookout with the 2 gas grills. Your family will enjoy the fenced yard that overlooks the lake. You can play horse shoes in the yard at the horse shoe pit. The kids will have a great time catching fire flies in the evening as the family sits around the camp fire telling ghost stories and roasting marshmallows.
The lower level of the house has a small bedroom area, with a queen size bed, a game room with pool table, T.V. and glass doors that lead out to the private court yard with the 6 person hot tub. In the lower level there is a wood burning fireplace and a full bath with a washer and dryer. This is a great house in a great location, we have had this home since 2002 and we have hundreds of families stay at Pine Lodge and 35% of our house guest returns every year. It is nice to know that so many families love Pine Lodge as much as we do...

Year Purchased: 2002
We bought Pine Lodge in 2002 as a future retirement home. We have lived in the D.C area for the past 13 years and fell in love with the Boone Lake area. Our Daughter lives close by in Asheville with our two grandchildren. We continued to buy homes on Boone Lake until we had 6 homes and we started our rental business Lake Lodges Vacation LLC. We loved every home that we have purchased on the lake. We set up each of the homes as if they were our own personal home that we lived in. We wanted all the comforts of home while we are on vacation. And we have stayed in all of them many times with family and friends and had everything you could need while away from home.
Why the Owner Chose Gray
We bought Pine Lodge to retire into. We have since retired into one of our other rental properties on Boone Lake. Since we have moved here we down sized to only two rentals and the home we live in. We spend a lot of time renovation, landscaping general up keep with the houses and 6 homes was getting to be too much work for the two of us. Over the past 9 years with 6 lake homes we have rented to hundreds of families. We work hard to make our homes a great place to stay and over the years we have approx 35% previous house gust come back yearly. That was the goal that we envisioned when we started this business, to help families create wonderful vacation memories, and have a beautiful place to come back to year after year.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Both of our rental homes are located in Gray, TN and the area that they are in is a great area with easy to get to shopping, lake activities, great neighbors, close to national parks, malls and Bristol speedway for the NASCAR races. We are 5 minutes from Kingsport, Johnson City and the airport. There are so many great activities in this area for families to do, Gray fossil site, Bays Bay and wild life exhibit, Jonesboro Story Telling center, Wet lands Water Park, and we have yearly tournaments that come to Johnson City or Kingsport to play soccer, soft ball, baseball and more. And we have the NASCAR race weekend twice a year. There are drag races at the Bristol Drag way all summer. And the Speed way has the speed way in Lights during the holidays with thousands of Christmas light displays on the race track and everyone can drive on the race track to see the lights. We really love this area.
