  My family and I spent Easter weekend at the house this year and it exceeded all our expectations. The renters were extremely responsive and the house is even more beautiful than it looks in the pictures. We really enjoyed going out on the kayak and peddleboat and just admiring the beauty of the canal from the huge deck.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

  The house was very spacious, clean and well equipped. It had lots of things for the kids to do. The location was superb and had a wonderful view. Enjoyed it a lot and will definitely be back.

  Wow, what great house! It's a lot bigger than you can tell from the pics and super comfortable in every room. The fireplace in the master was great as it got chilly a couple of nights, but it was also warm several days and the decks on every level made it easy to enjoy the great weather. Our boys caught fish off the back dock the entire time: trout, redfish, sheepshead, and tons of piggy perch. The kayaks are great for the waveless canals, and the beach is about 2 mins across the street. We had planned out several trips into town for some sightseeing and touristy stops, but ended up hanging out in the house instead in several cases because we were all so comfortable. It was great for us four, but could easily hold 4 more with all the available beds. My wife is tough to please but she was excited by everything from the minute we walked in, so I'm hoping we get to go back again. The owners are great to work with as well, and made this a great rental experience from beginning to end. Recommend highly!!!

  This is the best place to stay when visiting the bay side of Galveston's west end. The owners are fantastic to work with and always replied to phone calls and emails withing a timely matter. The attention to detail was awesome. We have been renting on the west end of the island for 16 years. We have never rented from an owner who took such pride in making sure their guest were taken care of. There was not one detail overlooked. The house is way bigger than the photos depict and was super clean. The owners checked on us the night of our arrival to make sure we made it ok and that the house was as expected. She also had a gift basket waiting for us at the door with all of the families favorite snacks, how she knew is beyond me. There was also a goody bag in the master bath with essentials one might have forgotten. There was more than enough bedding and beds for more than the 6 of us. The upstairs master bedroom, bath and deck were private and so relaxing.The kids had more than enough to do as there were plenty of bikes,kayakes,peddle boat, life jackets, toys, puzzles, books, games, wii games and fishing supplies to keep everyone happy. The beds were comfy. plenty of linens. The kitchen was well stocked, down to the coffee and spices. The wine chiller and the extra ice machine was a major plus.The decks were awesome for watching the sunset and the fish that swam over the underwater lights at night. They all had comfy furniture. We went to the beach and crabbed and fished in marsh along the main road. Caught lots of fish off of the deck both day and night and also took the kayakes out to the bay and fished. The beach is a short drive away and you can easily leave the ez up there and go whenever you like. We had no problems going back and forth. We will definately be back as this house is the best, and we would most definately recommend this house to anyone.

  Not only are the owners very nice and wonderful to work with, we love this house. They have truly thought of everything to make you feel right at home. The property was very well kept and more than well suited for our party of 8. The location was great as well- close to the beach and a short trip to Pleasure Pier and Seawall nightlife. We were also able to catch fish,crab as well as kayak right from the back porch as well. We were very pleased with our overall experience and are already looking to book this house again. Thanks again for sharing this wonderful house with us!!!!!

  Thanks for sharing your wonderful home, it was absolutely PERFECT in every way. Our family rented this amazing home for 10 days and it was everything we were hoping for and then some. The owners were a joy to work with and openly welcomed our family including two children and the family dog. Upon our arrival, we were surprised to find a welcome package that included a wonderful bottle of wine, fun gifts for the kids and even dog treats for our four-legged friend. We have been vacationing in Galveston for 30+ years and I must say the search is over, we will stay here again every year! I can't say enough good things about this home and the owners. The home is new, clean, perfect location, and loaded with amazing amenities and appliances. The kids really enjoyed all the toys, wii, and games that are available. The parents really enjoyed all the safety features, security, attention to detail such as life jackets for the kids and sturdy deck rails. Fishing was incredible, the underwater lights make all the difference and definitively attract big fish. We caught lots of keepers right under the house and with a paddle boat and two kayaks, fishing in the bay was a huge bonus. We enjoyed cooking the "catch of the day" on the grill downstairs, and ate most meals outside in one of many sitting areas available. The decks are huge and very private as they are only accessible from within the house. Security in Jamaica Beach was excellent as the entire areas is continually patrolled by the Jamaica Beach Police. I could go on and on, crab traps, bikes, two ice makers, wine fridge, ice cold air conditioner (if you have been to Galveston in the summery you know how important that is), swimming ladder, fishing rod holders, extra wide canals, tons of room to fish, lots of crabs, shrimp, and fish to catch, outside ceiling fans, comfy beds, modern decorations. I would recommend this property to everyone that is looking for the best, you will not be disappointed. The owners know what they are doing and have created an amazing atmosphere where you can create the vacation of your dreams and make memories for a lifetime. All payments were securely handled and our deposit was returned very quickly. Many thanks for sharing your home, hope to visit again real soon.

  My family and I just returned from a spring break vacation and this home was perfect. The listing and pictures are exactly as shown but you really cannot fully see how beautiful and spacious this home is. The owner was so helpful as I planned the trip and answered all my questions either by email or a phone call. Jamaica Beach is a quiet neighborhood and we were really impressed on how well is was patrolled by their local police. The home has three bedrooms and each has its own bathroom so it is perfect. This canal home was immaculate and many details have been thought out for renters. We fished from the pier, caught some crabs, kayaked and went on the peddle boat, visited Moody Gardens, the flight museum and NASA. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and hope to stay there again.

  This home was beyond my expectations. I loved cooking in the huge kitchen, and relaxing on the private master bedroom deck after my kids were asleep. The master bathroom is like the size of the master bedroom, so you can just imagine how beautiful it is. The guys enjoyed fishing from the lower deck and caught fish and crabs. We visited Moody Gardens, toured Bishops Palace and other historical homes. There is a lot of history in Galveston. We also made the short drive to NASA Visitor Center. We are already planning when we can return for a great vacation at this home. Did I mention how beautiful this home is!!!!! :)

  My family and I had the opportunity to rent this beautiful home for the New Years' weekend. The home is on the canal in Jamaica beach and has everything we were looking for including a paddle boat, kayaks, fishing equipment, a grill, large outdoor deck. Inside, the home is beautifully furnished and looks like it was just built. The master bedroom is large and the master bathroom is amazing. The two additional bedrooms were perfect for our family. We had a wonderful experience and definitely want to stay here again in the future.
