Catatoga is Western North Carolina's only fly-fishing retreat located in a private, gated community. Catatoga, an upscale, rustic, but unfussy mountain resort in the Lake Toxaway area is minutes from Cashiers and Highlands. It is surrounded by Gorges State park and miles of some of the best trout fishing in the USA. Indian Creek flows through the heart of the property and is one of the best streams for 'Trophy Trout'
The 5,000 square feet, rustic sophistication of our 6 bedroom home on Lake Catatoga accommodates: 6 private Queen bedroom suites, 2 bedrooms per level, each adorned with private master bathrooms, lake views and some with private balconies. Each bedroom is exquisitely decorated with a unique mountain theme, inviting and elegant with a TV, DVD player and in room safe.
A spacious living room with 22 ft. ceilings, 2 wood burning, natural stacked stone fireplaces and balconies overlooking the pristine lake. Full Kitchen, library, lake side patio with built in charcoal grill and fire pit with an adjacent canoe dock.
The club house features outdoor fireplace and balcony, two jacuzzis and an Olympic size swimming pool with cascading waterfalls. Just a few steps away are four Har-Tru tennis courts. Enjoy an afternoon beverage on the surrounding deck or an evening by the outdoor fireplace. You are welcome to bring your own beverages and enjoy the ambience, but the bar and dining are not open for service. The facility is used for private events and catering upon request.

My Bible-study group and my friends had the awesome experience of staying in this lodge for the weekend. The place was spotless, very comfortable, and extremely first-class. The location of the lodge right on the lake made for some VERY beautiful morning sunrises and evening sunsets as well as plenty of opportunities for boating, hiking, and other outdoor adventures. The guest rooms are very nice, the beds quite comfortable, and the fact that each bedroom has it's own FULL bath was quite nice. I would definitely recommend this to any group or family looking for an awesome, secluded, and fun get away for the weekend or for even longer. We were there only 2 days, and no one wanted to leave when the time came. Excellent property and Amazing location!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Amazing place! We have six couples (ages 55 - 75) that meet every year in the mountains for a weekend of friends, food and fun. Before we left Catatoga (which none of us wanted to do) we took a vote and decided that this was by far our favorite place. The grounds are immaculate. The lodge is large enough that we could meet for meals or spread out for privacy. The manager and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Everything was perfect and clean with upscale linens and bedding. The kitchen was also large enough to handle our group. We enjoy the club house and amenities. Indian Creek is beautiful - we had a couple of fishermen in the group and they enjoyed the creek and the lake. We couldn't have asked for anything more or better. Catatoga is an incredible place - I can't say enough about how wonderful and beautiful Catatoga is. Highly, highly recommended!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This is a beautiful home on a quiet lake. The adults and children loved the house. The fire pit and fishing were a big hit. The easy hiking trail to the waterfall was very nice. We have already recommended to friends and plan to return in the future.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway.
