Enjoy your vacation in this 2600 square foot 2-story vacation retreat. This is a tastefully decorated home, not a cabin, located 1 mile from the Lake, 4 miles from Kernville, 6 miles from Lake Isabella and 8 miles from a Family snow ski resort (ask about our off-season discounts). You can walk to downtown Wofford Heights for a meal, groceries, or the (amazingly small) movie theater.
The home has breathtaking, panoramic view of the Lake and Mountains from two decks.
The two-story floorplan makes it perfect for entertaining with ample room for large families or groups.
As you enter this home you’ll get an immediate view of the mountains and lake. The open design means that from the kitchen, dining room, most of the living areas, and two large decks you can see beautiful mountain and lake views.
Upstairs has a kitchen, dining room, living room, a bedroom (with a queen bed), a full bath and a deck. The living area has a beautiful high cathedral ceiling and a wall of windows looking out on the trees, mountains and lake, filling the home with lots of natural light. For relaxing at home the house is equipped with 2 TV’s/VCR’s with cable and stereo with CD player. Off the living area is a large sunny deck with patio furniture and barbecue making this outdoor area great place for summertime entertaining. The kitchen is large and well equipped with lots of preparation room and is open to the dining and living areas. So you can keep an eye on the children playing or chat with the people in the dining room. After dinner you can enjoy an open fire in the large stone fireplace in the living room perfect for those cold evenings.
Downstairs is the great room complete with Pool table, 65' television with DVD, bar, and game table. There are two bedrooms (one king, the other with two twin beds and a roll away twin), one bathroom, and a patio. The 3-car garage is on this level and has laundry facilities and a second refrigerator.
In addition to the three-car garage there is lots of outside parking and a carport that will accommodate an RV.

We rented this house to attend a family reunion in the Wofford Heights area and it turned out to be an absolute treat. We had family members of all ages and this house was thoroughly enjoyed by all. We kicked back on the deck and soaked in the breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The place was very comfortable and set up so we could stick the kids downstairs to play billiards, watch the big screen or rock out to the endless music on the juke box while all the senior folks relaxed upstairs. The recently remodeled kitchen was spacious and had plenty of room to cook. The bedrooms and living areas were clean and very comfortable. Hanging out on the deck and watching the lake change with the weather was very cool too. In fact you don’t even have to be on the deck to enjoy the view, just open the blinds and soak it in while relaxing inside. There was plenty of room to park a few cars as well as our 25' boat/trailer in the driveway. Note that if you are bringing a boat to the house, you might need to back into the driveway since the parking area, although large, might not be big enough to turn around a trailer. I got a chance to correspond with the owner and she was very gracious. I learned that they were going to perform many more upgrades to the place such as a new deck, some new kitchen appliances, teak patio set and a gas BBQ. With all the upgrades performed on an already outstanding place, it might be wise to rent this house before the owners decide live in it full time. The place really feels like a home. The next time we're in need some extra accommodations while visiting Lake Isabella, I will not think twice about renting this delightful house. My only hurdle is that our family members in Wofford Heights are so cool and fun to be with; it would be hard not to shack up with them while in the area. I'm sure they would understand if we told them we were staying at that awesome place up on the hillside. We had such a wonderful time.. The house was awesome. The view was amazing. Plenty of parking for our toys. I couldn't wait to get back to the house after playing on the lake all day, so i could play pool and listen to the juke box. We had plenty of room and could not ask for anything else.. The house is in walking distance to wofford heights, so we were able to walk to a diner and have breakfast on one of the days we were there. The local movie theater had a midnight showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. The teenagers had fun at that and they were able to walk there. There was a lot to do just little time to do all of it. We went whitewater rafting above Kernville which is only minutes away and had so much fun. I totally recommend this home. Thank you for sharing your home.. We will be back...Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: We love this home! Since our kids have grown, we don't use it as much as we'd like. We love water, both frozen and liquid, so it's great having a place we can ski/snowboard in the winter and boat/raft/fish in the summer. We painted the interior and updated the kitchen. It's our kind of getaway! We hope you love it too.
Why the Owner Chose Wofford Heights:
We were looking for a Southern California lake that had a wide range of water activities available and didn't get too crowded. Lake Isabella was even better than we had hoped for, with a nearby ski resort and the Kern River too.
