About the owner: My husband and I grew up in the Boston area and moved to the city to attend Cooper Union. I also attended Pratt Institute.
We have had our small interior design contracting company for 30 years and have three adult children two of which are married.
My husband and I had wonderful family holidays here. We are now enjoying a change of season with our children older and looking to spend our vacations in other peoples unique homes.
Why the Owner Chose Wurtsboro: When do you get to live in a creative, professionally designed space let alone a train station? You can stay in the comfort of this home which is entertaining in itself or venture out for a diverse selection of activities for all ages.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa: This home was an abandon concrete shell of history. It was our vision of it's potential that captivated us. There was the mission style parapet wall front facade, 8' thick concrete walls and the four archways openings to the waiting room that travelers would pass through as they bought their tickets and jumped aboard the next train. The train loaded with NYC passengers looking to relax in the cool upstate mountains in the summer or head to the city for the day.
