When you visit Charleston, which is considered to be America's most historic city, why not stay in the midst of that history. Our gate house is part of the old William Rett Plantation (Circa 1712). The William Rett house next door may be the oldest house in Charleston. We are located on Hasell Street just off Meeting, so you can walk to anywhere in Historic Charleston. We are one block from Charleston Place. There are numerous restaurants within blocks.
The buildings in our plantation surround a beautiful, formal, English garden with a delightful pond. You can be entertained by the gold fish or serenaded by frogs. The live oaks shadowing the property gave shade to our Revolutionary War Forfathers.
The gate house has one bedroom and a bath upstairs with a full eat-in kitchen and living room downstairs. The carriage house has two sides each with one bedroom and one bath and a sitting room on the second floor. The ground floor contains a media room with large screen TV, a comprehensive library, & a kitchen. |
