We spent the week of 9/20/11-9/27/11 at Blue Heaven and we found the home to be appropriately named. The five of us had incredibly good nights of rest on wonderful mattresses. The home is very well-appointed on a beautiful, private site. The owners have anticipated guests' every need right down to lobster pots. Or cooked lobsters can be picked up a stone's throw away. All four bedrooms are attractive and good-sized. Dining can take place in the dining room, in the roomy kitchen, on the back patio, or in the wonderful screened-in sun room. The front porch is a delightful spot for reading. We often passed up opportunities to tour the area because Blue Heaven is such a treat. It's so relaxing. But the town of Blue Hill had everything we needed when we ventured out. Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are nearby attractions. When we saw the masses of tourists in Bar Harbor, we were glad we opted to stay in Blue Hill instead. Overall it was a wonderful vacation that was enjoyed by all.

Hello Kevin: We did have a great time, and really enjoyed staying at your house. We did most of the activities recommended in your Survival Guide (plus kayaking, fishing, etc.) and the weather could not have been better. I'm already thinking that we should do the same thing next year.

My stay at Blue Heaven was wonderful! The home is inviting, spacious, homey & beautifully decorated & maintained. There is room for a large family &/or guests as well as entertaining. The enclosed room (side porch) with the gas fireplace is romantic as well as inviting. There were nice restaurants & quaint shopping near by. I highly recommend Blue Heaven!

Just like home: this property is spectacular. Great location with water view and quality home furnishings unlike any other rental we've ever experienced. The best of everything is provided. Blue Hill is magical! Quaint shops and americana feel, make for a superb family vacation or fun destination for a friends summer get-away. We have rented the home twice. First time we fell upon it as the City heat was unbearable. From there we fell in love with Maine, Blue Hill, and this house! Daytime adventures. Lobster lunches and lobster dinners. Evening's on the porch w/ a glass of wine (or two!). Utter heaven...

I had the pleasure of taking my family to this Maine home on the coast last summer. We were blown away at how beautiful the house and the area were. The community is quaint with fantastic restaurants, local fairs, amazing blueberries and antique stores galore. But, truth be told, we never wanted to leave this tranquil home. Everything we needed was there. It is spacious and peaceful. The kitchen is a gourmet cooks delight. I enjoyed my morning coffee on the front porch looking at the coast and the whole family spent hours on the screened patio reading, playing board games and enjoying the perfect Maine summer weather. I cannot wait to go back!

Having summered in the area as a youth, the occasion happened for my wife and me to visit Blue Hill along with her sister and brother-in-law. The town of Blue Hill is nothing sort of charming between the galleries, shops, markets, restaurants, and co-op. The house suited our needs wonderfully, offering more than enough room, a fabulous and spacious outdoor porch (with screens which were appreciated at night), and privacy (no immediate neighbors, unwanted noises, etc). I recall the house having several acres to itself. What's more, from the elevation you're offered a sense of serenity so be sure to enjoy a magnificent stary night's sky!!! One further note, the home is very well appointed and has current mattresses which I appreciated as a finicky sleeper. Enjoy!

We had the pleasure of staying at Blue Heaven over Memorial Day weekend two years ago. Words cannot describe how wonderful our stay was. We didn't want to leave! The home is furnished beautifully and every detail has been taken care of. We wanted for nothing and will definitely return again. We STRONGLY recommend this wonderful slice of heaven!

This home is perfect for a group of friends or a large family who want the best of Maine! The home is set on 25 acres high on a hill with an incredible view. The layout of the home is wonderful. I can still smell the blueberry pancakes in the morning as I came down the stairs! The kitchen is warm and friendly and opens onto the family room which opens to the living room with a large wood burning fireplace. My other favorite spots to "lounge" with my family was on the very large side porch with the gas fireplace. We would gather there in the late afternoons, for sunset, appetizers, appertifs, and compare stories of our daily ventures thru shops, antiquing, golf or hike! My favorite activity though when I am in Maine is eating lobster and crab at one of the local eateries- of which there are main unique eating establishments! Truly this place is BLUE HEAVEN!!!

My mother and I stayed here a few summers ago and it is a BEAUTIFUL home. Decorated so nicely and very clean. Spacious and well equipped kitchen. Ample living space to watch TV, play board games or do jigsaw puzzles. Beautiful front porch to sit outside and enjoy the weather, beautiful landscape, listen to nature sounds or just read. There is also a side screened in porch great as another eating or reading location. House is so convenient to town and other local sites. Great location that has seafood shop just up the road for some great local lobsters. We had a wonderful vacation here and i'm sure anyone visiting this house would as well.

I have been very fortunate to have been a frequent guest at My Blue Heaven in Blue Hill. This town is picture perfect. The restaurants (including the fresh seafood shacks that sell fresh lobster), the shops, the art festivals and book festivals are story book. The surrounding areas of hiking, boating and tourist attractions are everything you would want from Maine. My Blue Heaven is everything you would need and then more. This home has every comfort you could ask for. The bedrooms are the ultimate in comfort. The kitchen has everything you need - even if you are a gourmet cook. Cook inside or out on the grill. The terraces and the porches beg for you to sit still and read a book or look at the flowers and the wild life. This place has everything. I can't wait to go back.
