Glenwild Mountain Home is a luxurious 5 star home located on Peak 8 in the historic town and mountain resort of Breckenridge, CO. Ideal for gatherings of family and friends or a corporate retreat, this exquisite home has plenty of space for families and groups to entertain, relax and socialize. This 4 bedroom house sleeps up to 16 people and is nestled among pine trees with views of the slopes and is a short walk to Peak 8 Base. Amenities include four fireplaces, a media room wired for streaming and gaming, and a brand new 6 seater hot tub. This is a brand NEW house on the rental market so we have some great weeks open during ski season!
Featuring 4 bedrooms (3 with en suite baths) this house comfortably sleeps up to 16 people. Four stone fireplaces and in-floor radiant heat make for a cozy retreat after a day enjoying the outdoor activities that Summit County has to offer. Entertainment amenities include a full home audio system, wireless/wired internet, media room and flat screen HDTV's throughout the home.
The lower level includes an entertainment area consisting of a family room with fireplace, 55' hdtv (w/ BluRay, NetFlix, gaming capacity), day bed that converts to king size bed, game table, and full wet bar. The media room has a state of the art hdmi video projector w/surround sound, BluRay, NetFlix and gaming capacity. Also on the lower level is an en suite master bedroom w/ large walk-in closet and 32'hdtv, plus the kids' bunk room (sleeps 6) w/ its own full bathroom. From the lower level you can walk out to the flagstone terrace with a new 6 seat hot tub and enjoy the view, or hop on local nordic trails!
The main level includes a gourmet kitchen with slab granite counter tops, hammered copper sinks, and upscale appliances. The kitchen sitting nook seats 6 and also contains an hdtv. The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen and includes a table that seats 10 plus bar seating for another 4. The dining area opens out to a spacious deck with built in gas grill. The living room is luxurious - sit in front of a Vail stacked stone fireplace and savor fantastic views of the mountains and woods through floor to ceiling windows.
Upstairs are two en suite master bedrooms, both with king size beds, thermostat controlled fireplaces, rain style showers, walk-in closets, 32' hdtv's and views of Peak 8. The primary master also has a separate jetted tub, and double steam shower.
Ideal Location at Lifts in Breckenridge: Breckenridge is a year round resort with skiing and riding, as well as nordic trails, sled rides and more in the winter. Summer has even more activities including road and trail biking, hiking, horseback riding, white water rafting, fishing and golf. The Peak 8 Fun Park with alpine slide, mountain biking terrain, and other attractions is steps away from Glenwild Mountain Home.
The home is located in the Glenwild subdivision just off Ski Hill Road on Peak 8. It is a very private setting on a cul-de-sac shared with only 2 other homes. Walk 400 yards to Peak lifts and ski home at the end of the day. Catch the free shuttle bus just steps from the house to get to town.
This is a large but intimate home with an emphasis on luxury living - this house has it all! Plus, only moments from the Peak 8 base w/4 chair lifts and the BreckConnect Gondola in to town, makes Glenwild the ultimate retreat for your next getaway!

We had a marvelous stay at this home during our family skiing trip to Breckinridge. The home is absolutely gorgeous and has every possible luxury. It looks brand new. Very clean and modern. It was just a 5 minute walk to Peak 8. Ski rental and storage were all available at Peak 8, which was a plus for us. There is plenty of storage for ski gear if you bring your own though. The kitchen was well furnished with wonderful upscale appliances. The media room was amazing. All enjoyed the hot tub daily. Can't say enough good things. The bedrooms were spacious with wonderful bathing areas and the closets were huge. The owner provided helpful recommendations for ski rental, lift tickets, restaurants, etc. The property manager was readily available for questions as was the owner. I do recommend that you have a 4 wheel drive car during the winter. The driveway is heated and someone comes on a daily basis to remove snow from the street. We could not have asked for a better home or location. We were all delighted with our choice. We will be staying here again, Thanks for a great vacation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: We are so pleased to hear you had a successful vacation! You are right about the 4 wheel drive vehicle! Our driveway and walkways are heated, so they should not be an issue. But the snow really comes down in Breck, so the roads in general can be difficult to navigate. 4 wheel drive is a necessity if you are renting a car. We really hope you will come back to visit again - it was a pleasure to work with you!

We had a wonderful time at the Glenwild Mountian Home. I cannot say enough about this wonderful house! The kitchen was amazing and our grandkids lived in the theater room when they were not skiing. Everything has been thought of to make this a truly wonderful vacation home! We wanted to take the steam shower home with us - if only we could have - awesome!Did you find this review helpful? As a family we experienced our first white Christmas in Breckenridge. We live in Australia and it was exciting for us to make this trip. As the family is all adults it was really important that we had sufficient room for everyone to feel comfortable. The size and spaciousness of the house meant that we all delighted with the accommodation. Everything was so clean and well presented. It had everything we could have hoped for. We all enjoyed the fantastic kitchen. The close proximity of the house to the ski area was great! Everyone could be very independent. We loved every minute. We had 10 in our group & it easily accommodated everyone. The pictures don't do it justice. The kitchen is top notch & the whole house is great for entertaining. There is something for everyone. They just put in a new hot tub, there are tv's everywhere + the movie room. They go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. The house is filled w/extras & lots of technology. Most importantly it was clean, someone was close by in case we needed them & it was an easy transaction!Did you find this review helpful? The entire family came & we had a very special Christmas holiday! The home is so beautiful & equipped w/every special feature imaginable.The heated floors kept all of us cozy, but especially in the kitchen where we ended up spending a lot of fun times cooking & visiting. The downstairs provided a perfect atmosphere for our grandboys (5 & 8) who, when not skiing, played games, watched videos, & basically claimed it as their own. Parting was such sweet sorrow - we just did not want to leave! This mountain retreat is sheer heaven, with all the amenities of home and so much more. We could have spent many more days and nights enjoying the hot tub in its wooded setting, the media room with amazing state-of-the-art equipment and furnishings, and an enthralling gourmet kitchen that gave us endless hours of enjoyment. The lighting and woodwork throughout the home is stunning and cozy. We can't wait to return! I wanted to write both a thank-you and a personal endorsement for this property. We stayed for 4 nights in August and everything was just fantastic. The house is even nicer than the pictures, every aspect of the home is top-notch quality and the location is great. Additionally, the owner was great to work with.
