My family recently stayed at this lovely home over the Fourth of July. We had a great time and were very pleased. The beds are extremely comfortable and the A/C in the home was helpful during a very hot spell. The living room accommodated all of us for a Netflix movie and the kitchen is well stocked with all that is needed. The back yard is well maintained and we spend much of our time on the patio. The home is nicely situated on the Cape in Centerville for access to all lakes and beaches. We highly recommend this property and the owners. Enjoy!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Excellent. Many Thanks!

We were in Boston for My oldest daughters College Graduation. My son had recently moved to Jersey..so we thought we would make it a family reunion and rent a house so we could share in family meals together and have down time. I searched many properties..and this one caught my eye because it was just 80- miles from the city and had a lake within walking distance. The property exceeded our expectations! My young adult children range from ages 24-15 had a blast on the tree swing, the canoes and swimming in the Lake..The outdoor shower helped in rinsing everyone off. The kitchen was fully equipped..the grill was up and running..and a choir of crickets sang to us in the evening..it was magical. The master bedroom had an incredibly comfortable mattress with a heated cover..amazing! and there was a Jacuzzi tub to relax in at the end of the day. Tons of towels..also a bonus for packing with our large family we are 7 all together and fit comfortably! The owner was wonderful to work with..it was the perfect house for reconnecting and spending time together..the added bonus for us was to have the key boards there to enjoy as well my son is a musician...Everything was close by food stores take out.. restaurants..and dunkin donuts right around the corner!! The neighbors were friendly as well..giving us tips on what we should see and do...We did explore the surrounding area's Plymouth one night..and Hyannis another night..both were great for walking around and meeting locals..All around we had a wonderful week in Centerville! We have already shared our experience with another couple who has a son attending Harvard University..and they want to experience the Lake House as well! We can't wait to return!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: We are so grateful that the family could take advantage of so much in their stay. It is a charming location with easy access to all that the Cape has to offer.

Our family had a wonderful time in your home and we are so grateful for all the advice and information about the area you provided. Over the years we visited the Cape for weekend trips but never managed to really appreciate it until we stayed in your home and had access to the many beaches. Discovering Wequaquet Lake was simply wonderful and we used the kayaks every day. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was the perfect relief from those heat-wave days. The kids enjoyed swing in the backyard, the hammock, and the the ping pong table!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1995
About the owner: Our family of 5 has owned this property since 1995 and have enjoyed every summer since purchasing it. If we could work from the Cape, we'd be there at all times. Being steps to the private beach on Wequaquet Lake makes relaxing a snap. Also it is so close and fun bike ride to Craigville Beach and our favorite - Long Beach.
Why the Owner Chose Centerville:
Being only 80 miles from Boston, it is an ideal location - not too far out on the Cape (15 miles from the Cape Cod Canal), and it is close to every major amenity and necessity.
We discovered Wequaquet Lake, its 1,300 acres of fresh water as a tranquil and relaxing experience.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Your choices are numerous to relax or be active. Boating, swimming, kayaking, or biking are all daily possibilities here. The property is sunlit, clean, modern, and calming under a multitude of oak trees and has a giant backyard swing, 2-person hammock and a hammock chair.
