The house was wonderful. Only complaints would be the sink faucet in the master bath had very low water pressure and the bath in the master bath was very slow to drain. Wish there had been either AC or some cooling in the game room and beds down there instead of in the bedrooms. (not very romantic if you have a kid sleeping in same room with parents). Also wish there had been bigger mirror in the master bath. Loved the wrap around porch and the short walk to the beach!

We LOVED the beach house!Guest comment entered by owner
We LOVED the beach house!
We LOVED the beach house! Since the bottom floor was renovated, we were concerned that we would have space issues. This was not the case. The pictures posted on the website do not convey how spacious the property is. We had plenty of room. The house was beautiful and immaculate. The management company was friendly and helpful. I see that you are in the Dallas area, so you have to manage the property from a distance. I can assure you it is in great shape and being managed well. It was wonderful vacation experience for me and my family. Thank you!!

Good house, over sell of views.
Good house, over sell of views.
The house was very comfortable, lots of beds and bedding, great kitchen for cooking. Great locale (love Pensacola Beach - will come back again and again). Not great house location, on busy road (lots of road noise) and views were oversold in description. The only views were at the four corners of the upper porch (craning your neck to see a dime sized view of ocean or beach). Wasn't too far to walk but next time we will stay closer to beach. Had some air conditioner problems (technician wasn't able to repair that day so we had one really hot night), but fixed the problem the next day. We were discounted for one day of our stay. Paradise Home Rental company was very good to work with.

Owner response: First, let us say we are so happy that you love Pensacola Beach. We may be a little biased, but we think it is the best beach anywhere, just gorgeous! Secondly, we are so sorry to hear that you had a problem with the air conditioner. As out-of-town owners we rely on Paradise Beach Homes to handle any emergency that may come up with the house. We are sorry that you had a hot night but glad that the problem was remedied and that you were reimbursed for your inconvenience. Again, we are sorry that happened during your stay. Yes, we think the house is very comfortable and the kitchen is awesome for cooking for a large crew. As far as the location of the house, we include a map of the property in the listing. As you know, Pensacola Beach is on Santa Rosa Island, which is a very narrow barrier island. All homes are either sound side or gulf side. We love being gulf side, it is not necessary to cross Via de Luna (the main drag) to get to the beach. People often ask us if they will have to drive to the beach from the house. The answer is NO, and we include a picture of the walk-way leading to the beach so that people will get a better understanding of just how convenient access to the ocean is, as you know it is a very short walk. However, since there is one main throughway on the island it can, during busy times of the year, experience high traffic volume. Traffic noise during busy times can pretty much be heard all over the island. Our kids have come to enjoy the “white noise” coming from the street, and really we are so exhausted after a day of sunning and swimming we hardly notice it! We are glad you enjoyed Pensacola Beach and we hope you'll be able to find a property that suits your family AND fits your budget the next time you visit.
A Fantastic House.
A Fantastic House.
My husband and I stayed here in early January and it was wonderful. The house is very clean, decorated in pleasingly neutral tones, and has vaulted ceilings in the spacious living area. The wrap around porch is charming and functional, providing views of both the ocean and the sound. The beach itself is lovely, and a very short walk from the house. Of course in January it was too cold to swim, but it was warm enough to be a welcome break from the snow and ice at home. Our walks on the beach were beautiful, with crystal clear water, white sand, and spectacular sunsets. And the best advantage of going in winter: we had the beach to ourselves. Pensacola has some great restaurants, so although you may arrive with a bikini-ready body, you will probably leave in a more corpulent state. I'd recommend The Fish House (the only restaurant I've been to whose sushi and cheesy grits are on par with one another) and McGuire's. Other places to go are the delightful little art museum, and the Naval base's Aviation Museum (of particular interest if you enjoy planes and/or men in uniform).

Beautiful Home in Excellent Location
Beautiful Home in Excellent Location
We were able to stay here on a trip through Florida and were just in awe of how fantastic the house was! Perfect location! We were able to sit on the wrap-around porch and see the water. It was sooo nice that the walkway to the beach was right next to the house!! The inside was lovely! Very homey and comfortable. We loved the dining room table!!! So many little touches throughout the house to make it welcoming!! We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it!!

I would have given this rental an excellent if it were not for two things. While we were there it rained 3 out of the 6 days and there were not any tv's in the two bedrooms only in the living room and the master bedroom. I traveled with my husband, mother and 5 children ages 5, & 12. We purchased a small little tv with a dvd player just for our peace of mind. The other problem was the neighbors to the left of us. I believe they live there so they were not renters on two different nights we were awakened once around midnight and the other time around 2 a.m. to the sound of fireworks going off. The first time it sounded like they broke something (such as glass) so I went around the house checking windows and the next morning my husband checked everything again. It was a bit jarring to be woken up by the loud noise out of sound sleep. Besided these two things I loved the house. Access to the beach was easy and quick, the beach area was not crowded. The house was very clean and furniture clean also. We really enjoyed ourselves. There was a bbq pit and a gas grill which we used the gas grill and it was also great. The view to the ocean is there but kinda small but overall it was a good experience.

Owner response: Hi! We are so sorry to hear that it rained on your beach vacation, the area where we live has been experiencing extreme drought conditions for months now, and we’d love to have a good week or two of downpours here! We do provide books, games, and puzzles in the house in the event of rain. There are also many fun and inexpensive indoor things to do in the Pensacola area, such as the Naval Aviation Museum. Our family generally has a laptop or two along when we travel (good for watching movies or surfing the net to stave off boredom). Yes, some of the surrounding homes belong to full timers. As for the fireworks, I’d suspect that there are a few leftover from the 4th of July that go off at inopportune times. We are glad you enjoyed the clean house, the new paint and carpet, and the gorgeous beach!
