We were so excited about our trip to Maui and we were not disappointed! This condo was amazing, with all the comforts of home. It was great coming back from our excursions to relax on the patio or comfy sofa. The bed was so comfortable too! We really enjoyed the resort, and would love to come back!Recommended for: Families with young children

Stayed at Honua Kai over the holiday season. The resort is amazing especially for families with small children. Most important is that it is a new modern resort right on the beach. The unit itself is absolutely stunning and beautifully decorated. The condo is modern, clean and very comfortable. We had a great time in Maui and a wonderful hassle free experience renting this unit. Highly recommend!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Myself, my husband and two children (ages 9 & 11) stayed in this unit for 10 nights. We loved the comfort of the room and having all the amenities we could desire. We loved the quiet location of the room and enjoyed stargazing from the lanai. The room was nicely furnished and the bed was comfortable. As a mom, I appreciated having a washer and dryer in the unit. The owner was wonderful to correspond with, always prompt when corresponding. I would recommend this unit to friends and would definitely stay there again.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Hi; I really enjoyed living at this property.Every thing was beyond my expectation. Beaches were clean and less crowded. That way excellent for small kids. Evening eatin out at Dukes was not very expensive. We are definately planning another trip on this property in near future. Suggestion for folks to have their costco membership ready and food at WHOLEFOODS is less expensive than some of the resturants.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

We have stayed at Honua Kai #208 two years in a row and plan on returning every year. The resort has all of the amenities that we were looking for: new, well-maintained structure and grounds, convenient location in Kaanapali across the street from Times Market, clean swimming pools, easy access to the beach, restaurant (Duke's) and cafe on site, family-friendly. Unit #208 is maintained very well. The 1 bdrm unit is clean with a large lanai offering a partial ocean view. The kitchen is stocked with appliances and the washer/dryer is easy to use. Communication with the owner is easy and she is very responsive. Staying at Honua Kai really does feel like having our own vacation home in Maui. We'll be returning every year for sure!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.

Honua Kai was our home away from home last week. We found the accommodations to be clean, comfortable, and spacious and exactly as described. This was our first experience renting a unit through VRBO. We were somewhat hesitant at the outset but the owner was very responsive and was able to put our minds at ease about the arrangements and the transaction. She even greeted us personally upon arrival and showed us to the unit and upon our request, was able to accommodate a late checkout, which really allowed us to make the most of our last day as our flight was not scheduled until late evening. We loved being able to prepare meals in the beautiful and fully stocked kitchen. Having a washer and dryer was a huge plus as well. We especially appreciated the 'towel cards' which could be used to obtain clean beach towels from the each day so we didn't have to pack or purchase them. Thanks again to the owner whose personal touches made us feel so welcome during our stay! We would definitely rent again at this resort and from this owner!Did you find this review helpful? Stayed at the Honaui Kai this year for Spring Break, the unit was very nice, full stainless kitchen, granite counter tops, huge bathroom, and a private lanai. The resort had one big open air lobby and my 4 year old fed the large Koi fish some mornings. I have not been to Maui for 24 years mostly because I remember the units to be old. This unit was very modern I could not have picked a better place to stay, we were able to snorkel right off the beach and see Turtles, boogie board in the afternoon and my son even went scuba diving off the beach. We were very close to the Whaler shops and Old town Lahina. The resort had so many pools that for Spring Break it didn't seem too busy. Had a great time and would stay there again. Thank you Feresh for renting us your unit!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

This was the best vacation spot ever, only steps from the beach. Once we arrived,we never wanted to leave. This was the only vacation I didn't need a vacation we I got home. The condo had all the amenities and I felt like I was at home. This is a new condo with high end and all we need was the food and drink to enjoy the best vacation ever. We will never vacation at another location and will always recommend to friend and family. The owner took time to welcome us and give us tips on great location to visit and near by activities. 5 stars all the way!!!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway.

Our family stayed at this condo and were happy with the location, size and the furnishings. There is a partial view of the ocean and mountain. Everything was as described from the website. This is a good property as our kids loved the pools. LOVED this condo And Honua Kai Property! Pristine Clean and NEW with all the upgraded appliances, furnishings, granite countertops, etc! Faces the outside with a partial ocean view. Nice patio for morning coffee. Traveled with 2 of my kids and the one bedroom was the perfect size! We love the property and pool. We have stayed at the Westin Villas next door and find this Honua Kai property newer, nicer, and a better value. Rooms are much bigger here! Easy access to elevator to pool and parking. We have visited Maui many times and have stayed at quite a few Kaanapali hotels and resorts. This was our absolute favorite!! The owner was great to work with and has other properties available too if you are looking for more bedrooms.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The Honua Kai is an exceptional resort, very new, very friendly. This one bedroom condo is better location and value than the equivalent at the Westin next door in our opinion (which we have visited on several occasions in the past). At Honua Kai you have the same beach but also short walk to the shops and supermarket, Avis and Budget are also just across the road so if you fly into the local airport you can hire a car for a couple of days, drop off the car and rent again when needed, which then allows the opportunity to hire bikes or mopeds also. The hotel also has a great deli store in house and restaurant. The owner of this condo is very helpful and easy to work with. This condo is not ocean front but has a good view of the sea from the balcony, and the mountainside. The room is spacious excellently furnished and quiet. We are very discerning as regards value for money and we give this condo five stars for exceptional value and will keep in our diary for our next visit to Maui.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
