Cozy Quaint Log Cabin Retreat

Beautiful cozy mountain cabin surrounded with pine trees and wildlife at the foot of the mountains. Anderson Ranch Reservoir is just a few miles down the road. Excellent trout fishing is just a short walk from the cabin. The Trinity Lakes are just up the road with additional scenic views and rugged mountain peaks. There are trails for hiking, streams for fishing, and a dredge pond where kids can fish safely. Groomed Snowmobile trails and other winter sports are out the door in the winter and hundreds of miles of quad trails and forest roads in the summer. Golf is just a mile away.
It's a place to get away from the stress and strain of daily life. When we visit we always seem to leave our troubles about 10 miles down the road - they do wait for you to pick them up on your way out (unfortunately).
We have lots of videos and DVD's but the best thing is the majestic mountain vistas and pines. Nature is all around you with nearly any outdoor activity available in the surrounding area.

Five guys rented the Cozy cabin for four nights! Plenty of room! We had a great time! There is little sign of the fire so don't let that stop you from visiting Featherville!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family decided to get away from every day life with the family and have fun in the snow. We stayed in this cabin for a weekend, and had a blast. Lots of hills to go sledding on and the cabin was nice and warm and cozy. There was everything needed to have a wonderful vacation. The owners of the cabin were very nice and friendly. And the cabin was very clean and family friendly! We will be back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, pet owners, girls getaway.

We stayed at this cabin for Thanksgiving. Our children came up for the day and shared Thanksgiving Dinner and spent the day with us. Everything was there in the kitchen that we needed. Cozy and clean. We went tubing, walking in the snow, made snow angels. Yet inside we were very warm and cozy. We have stayed in the summer also and enjoy all the easy accesible trails for our 4-wheelers. We have seen deer licking the salt block out the back door, roasting marshmellows over a fire in the firepit, saw a bear while 4-wheeling, climbed the mountain out the back door. All of nature at it's best! We will definitely stay here again and recommend the nice cabin to anyone!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

ur stay at the cabin was wonderful it was very clean the pictures don't do this place justice it is much better then they show. It is so comfortable and peaceful. I'm so busy that the feelings of calm and tranquility don't usually enter into my life except at this wonderful place. I will go there again. It was one of my best vacations. The owners are very nice people and very helpful. I would absolutely recommend this cabin to anyone even if it is a weekend get away. you will love it.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our extended family of 10 recently rented this cabin for 1 week, and had a very positive experience. The cabin is clean and well maintained. The Kitchen has everything you will need to prepare and serve meals...there is a large dining table as well as a second table on the patio. We had three small children, so found the different levels convenient for sleeping/naps. It was also handy to have a high chair and baby bed provided. Additionally, the land-line phone and wireless internet are extremely handy in an area where there is no cell service! We found the owners to be very friendly and helpful...All in all we had a very nice experience and would definitely rent this cabin again--it is in a wonderful location, easy to find, and with good access to 4 wheel trails, hiking trails, the river, and hot springs.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2006
About the owner: Gary & Denise have been enjoying the cabin since Gary's family purchased it in about 1979. Gary is an Idaho native but we have lived in places like Timbuktu, Mali, Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Gilbert, Arizona.
Why the Owner Chose Featherville:
We have been enjoying this area for many years and wanted to keep the cabin available for our family. We have now decided it's time for others to be able to enjoy the beauty and rejuvenation that comes from spending time here. It is our family's favorite place to go.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
We enjoy the lack of the distractions that normally bombard us from all sides. We find that we play games with our children and have real family time rather than just passing one another at the dinner table at home.
