My husband and I spent six months (Oct'11 thru Mar'12) living in this beautifully appointed condo. It has absolutely everything you need, just bring your suitcase. The views are breathtaking. You can literally see from Oceanside to La Jolla with unobstructed ocean views. We even saw whales from time to time while sitting on the comfy couch. The condo complex is small and quiet with a great pool and hot tub. The king bed in the master bedroom combined with the sound of the ocean makes for some of the best night sleep you will ever get. The second bedroom has a pull out full couch which is very comfortable. We had several visitors during our six month stay and all commented on the comfort of the bed. Other than the views the second best part of the condo is its location in Encinitas. There is no need for a car as there are several excellent restaurants and stores within walking distance as well as a Starbucks and Whole Foods. We really enjoyed our time in Encinitas and can't wait to come back!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

We stayed at this place for two winters from November through April in 2007/8 and 2008/9. We found this place to be a beautiful quiet spot and a great way to get away from the snow and cold weather in Spokane Washington.We love the ocean and also enjoy the convenience of being close to our children and grandchildren who live in San Diego. This place has great views! We both enjoy golf and there are many courses conveniently available. We walked on the beach almost every day- a great way to exercize and enjoy natutre at the same time. Although its a little small- it was perfect for the two of us and we had plenty of room when our grandchildren stayed with us. Last year,we decided to try a winter in the desert- in the Palm Springs area- and as it turned out the owners also have a condo at a very nice resort which we rented last year- based on our excellent experience with this condo. The desert condo- on a golf course with great mountain views turned out to be a great place as well. Fantastic ocean views- very private and cozy. My husband and I stayed here for 30 days last July and had a wonderful time. We enjoy eating out and were able to walk to resturants on the PCH ( Pacific Coast Highway) on many evenings. Two of our favorites were Vigiluccis and Blue Ribbon Artisian Pizza which has a great wine list and excellent appetizers. The bakery in the lumberyard is a great place for breakfast as well as the 101 diner. The condo is beautifully furnished with attractive ocean themed artwork. Everything was in excellent condition. The unit is well equipped with plenty of kitchen equipment, dining, glass ware etc. Lots of towels , bedding as well. On one weekend our son stayed with us and on another weekend some friends visited- they used the queen sleeper and found it to be very comfortable. Nothing beats cocktails and appetizers at sunset except possible waking up to the sweet sounds and smell of the ocean. I wish we could have stayed longer. About the owner: We are an active couple in our early 60s, owners of a small business who spend part of the year at the beach and the other part in Houston where our grandchildren are. We enjoy renting our place to people who love being at the beach, and enjoy its natural beauty as well as the convenience of walking to lots of great resturants, markets etc.
