  We rented the house over Labor Day weekend and it was great. The kitchen is big and there is a very nice island and we appreciated the extra counter space. The crock pot was great, too. We were all very impressed with the sound system and we were able to listen to the radio through many speakers in the house. In addition, the dock was nice. We were able to go out and sit on the dock and enjoy the beautiful sunset over Wawasee. The house was big and we were able to sleep everybody in the house comfortably. The three laundry rooms was also helpful for when we washed sheets and towels. The house is fantastic and I highly recommend it for big groups.

  We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend stay this year. This was our first stay in this property and we were thrilled with the house, the amenities - just the whole overall experience. There was plenty of "breakout" space to accommodate the 25 or so of us. We could be together or have our own time away from it all. We had a couple of small issues upon arrival, but a phone call to the owner resolved them very quickly and courteously. We would definitely try to reserve this property again for our family time at Wawasee!. Recommend it!!

  This was the second time we have stayed at this beautiful house on Lake Wawasee. It is so roomy for our big family. All the bedrooms are good size and had enough room for some extra mattresses on the floors. We all had beds to sleep in. The washer/dryers on every floor are very convenient. The kitchen is very well stocked and we loved the ice machine!! The second floor family room was perfect for our teenagers. Spent a day at Shipshewanna (1/2 hour away). We loved swimming in the lake and boating to two restaurants. The elevator was so convenient for the third floor bedrooms. Plan to come a third time some day.

  It was beautiful and relaxing! Great space for a big family. We all felt like we had our own space, but still had space to fellowship and have fun! Loved swimming in the lake too right outside the house! Would love to do it again!

  We rented this property over last Christmas weekend. It was great for the large amount of family we had in from different parts of the country. The place was very comfortable and provided for all our needs. The only downside was the lack of window coverings and some of the main areas of the house were hard to use with the large floor to ceiling windows and the blinding sun coming in. Also there was a lack of privacy for the main master suite as there were no coverings over the French glass doors leading into the suite. Apart from these issues we had a great time and would definitely come again.

  The lake house was great, and the pictures do not lie the view of the lake was amazing. There was enough room for all of us to do our own thing if we wanted (Watch multiple sporting events on the tv's!) and not feel like we were on top of each other. We would definitely look into renting this again!

  "We just spent the week here and it was awesome! The penthouse and 3rd floor suites have spectacular views of the lake, and the house swallowed up several families without any problem at all. The lake bottom is sandy nearly out to the buoy, providing tons of room for boats and swimmers alike. The elevator was an added bonus for avoiding multiple trips up and down the stairs. The house is right on the water, so no long treks with gear and coolers to the water's edge. Parking was very convenient and overall a great lake experience. If you have a big group and want to all be in the same place, but still like your privacy when it counts, this is the place for you. Well worth the money. " Aug 04, 2011 - Mike Bell

  Upon arrival at the house we were appalled at the dirt and disarray that greeted us. The kitchen surfaces, drawers and appliances were dirty. There were dead ants everywhere. The front windows and deck were grimy. The toilet seats had dried urine on them, and the sinks had not been cleaned. The outside grill was unusable. The beds were unmade and sheets and towels were scattered among the rooms and closets, and we couldn't determine what was clean and what was not. We spent the evening and most of the next day washing linens, scrubbing kitchen and bathroom surfaces, washing windows and hosing off the deck. The owner showed up in the afternoon with a bucket and a few rags and made a feeble attempt at cleaning the bathrooms. He apologized for the condition of the house. There are no curtains or window shades on any of the windows, and there is no sandy beach. The house looks nice in the photos and accomodates a lot of people, but most of the bedrooms have child sized beds and old mattresses. I would not recommend it to friends unless they are able to check it out for cleanliness before arriving. We left the house in better condition than we found it.

  Owner response: This was the first rental of the season and the cleaning person thought it was the week after, therefore, it was not up to par and totally my fault. To compensate, I did give them an extra night stay at no charge which had been previously agreed to be an extra charge. I personally appeared on site to correct their issues on 3 different occasions. Sandy beach refers to the lake bottom Sand vs Muck and the grill must not have been good enough for them because it does work well ( first ever complaint on these two issues?) The beds are intended to be unmade so that people know that the sheets have been washed as stated in contract. This customer did not even use VRBO to lease this property but elects to give a review? Anyone in business understand this specific customer and invites them to look for other opportunities!
