This house was wonderful! Everything was as good as listed, or even better. The house was clean and ready for us when we arrived, including a vase of bird of paradise flowers on the front table. The owners called to welcome us when we arrived, checked during our 2 week stay to see if we had questions, and called at the end to say goodbye. There were clear directions with all appliances and electronics, and there was even a DVR to record TV shows. Our 8 family members ranged in age from 4 to 58 all enjoyed the pool and hot tub, tennis court, bocci ball court and even shuffleboard. There were floats for the pool and plenty of comfortable chairs. We loved eating our meals outside, and even used some basil growing by the pool as a fresh seasoning. The house location is wonderful, near restaurants and grocery stores. This was a fabulous home away from home for a great vacation.

Gerri is a wonderful host and has a property to be proud of ! Everything you want in a vacation home , heated pool, hot tub, tennis , basketball, shuffleboard, bocce ( and direction on how to play, for those of us who have never played before) , bikes, golf clubs, baby equipment, beach chairs, and more. We had a wonderful time. A short walk to the lagoon and beach. Fun to walk along the beach and look for sand dollars and starfish. Large dining room table and tables for eating out on the lanai . The master suite was very comfortable and private. Highly recommended...and we would definitely love to return here someday!

Absolutely FABULOUS home!

This beautifully decorated and clean home was PERFECT for our group of 10! We enjoyed absolutely every amenity, from the lanai covered pool, the tennis courts, to the spacous rooms (the Master Suite is amazing). The home is located about 3 blocks from the public parking at TigerTail Beach (about a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive; parking $8/car/day). There is a group of burrowing owls that live on the corner, that are always there to greet you as you make the short walk to the beach. Don't miss the many mango trees that line the path (there is even one lady who will sell you tree-ripened mangoes from her tree). Once you have one, you'll never want to buy another from the grocery store! There is a tidal basin you must walk across to reach the actual beach, but it wasn't too bad. About hip deep during regular tide (around chest deep at high tide). You can walk around, but plan on about 30 minute walk if you choose that method. If you walk thru the tidal basin, at sunset, don't miss the thousands of small crabs that line your path. They are amazing! Take your water shoes, as the beach is made up of crushed shells (hard on the bare feet).This home is beautiful and we will definitely return! Had a fabulous time and loved the proximity to the grocery store, beach, and other things Marco offers!

This was the first time we've ever rented a house for a vacation, and the bar has been set extremely high for any subsequent rentals in the future!! :-) The owners have written an extremely accurate description of their home, including their beautiful photos, but what they didn't share is the immediate feeling of "Ahhhhhh.... paradise!!" that immediately hits each person as they enter through the front door. Anything we needed was available to us, including bikes and beach equipment, and having the gorgeous pool and our own private sports complex in the backyard was a true joy, as would be attested by the 18-, 20-, and 21-year-olds who were with us. Aside from the amazing home and its amenities, the owners were WONDERFUL to work with....very helpful and quick to answer our emails. They researched flight options for us before we even booked the week with them, they called us after we arrived to ensure that everything was okay, and they emailed us at the end of the week to see how our time there had been and to wish us a safe trip back home. Would we recommend this property to friends or relatives? IN A HEARTBEAT!! And if we ever get the opportunity to go back to Marco Island, you can bet that we'll be checking to see if this incredible home is available for rent again. I've already thanked the owners for allowing us to share their piece of paradise, but I could do it again and again... what an incredible week!! :-)

This vacation home could not have been more perfect for our family! We had 4 teenagers who had plenty to keep them busy. We didn't want the week to end. The hosts could not have been more accomodating!

Best family vacation!

My husband and I, along with our six young children, plus Grandma, just spent a week at this property and it was fantastic! The owners were an absolute delight to work with and were very responsive to any questions we had. We had no issues whatsoever. The 4 bedrooms are spacious, the kitchen is extremely well equipt, the televisions get loads of channels, and everything was clean and in working order. What you might not be able to tell from the photos is that the main room opens onto the pool area and there is enough deck space around the pool for several lounge chairs and a table for 10. It was never cramped on the pool deck (this seems to be unusual-- many of the homes we were looking at had pools off the side of the house and/or very small pool deck spaces with hardly enogh room everyone to hang out together). The pool got sun for the entire day, and so did the tennis court and shuffleboard and bocce ball courts. It is clear that the owners really want their guests to have an enjoyable time, and we definitely plan to return in the future. Whether you are looking for a family retreat or a place suitable for a bunch of couples, you wil not be disappointed it this property!

Most Relaxing Vacation Ever !

The amenities at this house guarantee you can enjoy a complete vacation on the premises. The heated pool, spa, tennis court, bocce court, shuffleboard, basketball, etc. are all on location! I stayed here 2+ weeks in January. The owners and local manager were excellent. The fabulous house has a spacious master suite, fully stocked kitchen, whole-house sound system, and TV's in all bedrooms. It has a perfect location, with easy access to Tigertail beach, bicycle-friendly streets, local grocery stores, and restaurants. The heated pool, tennis court, and house/lanai sound system were my favorites. Vacation bonus - record high temperatures in the 80's.

We stayed at this home December 3-December 10, 2011 and had a wonderful time..The owners are so wonderful about any issue you might have with the home..the beach is right around the corner and the tennis courts, shuffleboard, pool, hot tub etc. were just great to have on location. I would recommend this property for friends and family anytime.

A Great Vacation Home and Beach

Since we have never been to Marco Island we didn't know what to expect. Well, we were sold on a great vacation spot and a wonderful house. The owners were great and couldn't do enough to make your vacation a good one. It is a well maintained house and very clean. The house had everything you would need, the kitchen was loaded, the outside was a favorite. The pool and hot tub and lanai was very large and was a great place to relax. The bocce court and tennis court were a hit. It was just a couple of blocks to Tigertail beach and that was great since we had our 2 young grandchildren there. We will definitely return to Marco Island and rent this house again. You won't be disappointed if you rent this house for your next visit to Marco.

Fabulous Birthday Surprise!

Our return to this home in Marco Island was a very pleasant surprise indeed!! The new owners have given the home exactly the "pick-me-up" it needed to make it a 5-STAR vacation home! The entire interior was freshly painted; new kitchen appliances; new living room furniture (this time, we didn't have to get chairs from the lanai so we could all sit and watch TV!) We are a tennis family and absolutely love that we have access to the tennis court anytime the mood strikes. Even the beautiful lighting that was added around the walkway in the backyard looks classy! There were 2 new bikes in the garage for a quick trip to Tigertail Beach or just around the block. We rented this house to have a relaxing family vacation to celebrate a birthday, and this home didn't disappoint. Along with the nice improvements, the real icing on the cake to our vacation were 2 baby burrowing owls who had made their home in an empty lot close by. Our 2 yr old granddaughter loved them, so it was a nature trip every time we went out the door - we had to see the owls first (we named them Hoot and Holler!)! As we loaded our cars to head home, we were already talking about when we could come back to our favorite Marco Island getaway!

Picture Perfect Vacation Spot

After hearing of so many friends and family vacationing on Marco Island over the past year, I finally got there to discover it myself and I was thrilled with what I found! The island was beautiful, and this house we stayed at was the ultimate vacation spot. The décor was right out of the pages of a magazine; the kitchen/ living space was a great layout for preparing meals yet not missing out on the action. The bedrooms were all tucked to the sides of the house, great for naps and quiet time. Most of our time was spent, though, outdoors- the pool/pooldeck was a favorite spot, as were the tennis court and shuffleboard! An added bonus was the cruisers I discovered in the garage. It was so relaxing to peddle around the island to pick up bagels, head to the beach, and to explore Marco and find spots like DaVinci (great outdoor patio dining!) Sunsets, swimming in the gulf, happy hour by the pool, shopping in nearby Naples…I have found the perfect vacation spot and certainly recommend it to anyone looking for both an active, and relaxing vacation!

A Dream Vacation!

We just returned from renting this home on Marco Island and had the time of our lives! This home is absolutely stunning with wonderful amenities on the property (pool / spa, tennis, basketball, bocce, shuffleboard) we felt like we never had to leave. This fantastic home is located within a five minute walk to Tigertail beach which made getting to the beach both convenient and enjoyable! There are bikes at the house which we used for rides around the island and to the beach.We played tennis daily on the private tennis court, followed by a refresing dip in the beautiful pool listening to music. It felt like heaven! It was wonderful to have have convenient and fun activities right at our fingertips. The perfect balance for an active yet incredilby relaxing vacation! Marco Island is on the top of my list for Florida locations with so much to offer in terms of great restrauants, shopping, attractions, boating, and night life. Marco Island truly is an ideal vacation getaway! I would highly recommend this home to everyone I know, and already have several friends and family interested in renting next year. It was very clean and well maintained, the owners were great to work with, and you couldn't ask for a more luxurious home to spend your vacation. Enjoy!

Dream Get-Away!

I just returned from a dream get-away on Marco Island and I cannot say enough about this property. The location and amenities cannot be beat on Marco! With a short walk to Tigertail beach, the esplanade, or the center of town your days can be full of activity. However if you stay at this home, you will find yourself asking, "Why leave? The property is beautifully appointed. From the decor to the luxurious sheets you will feel like royalty. The gorgeous kitchen has new appliances and overlooks the lanai with an extremely private pool. You will want to spend your time lounging poolside while listening to your favorite music in surround sound and enjoying the outdoor grill. There are beach cruisers available to use while at the house and Marco is perfect for bike rides. The private tennis, bocce and basketball courts make this property stand out! I can't wait for my next stay!

I recently spent time at this luxurious home on a girls getaway and couldn't have asked for more in a vacation property. The home is tastefully decorated and the layout is wonderful. High ceilings, spacious bedrooms and a large master suite, complete with spa bath, are waiting for your arrival. The kitchen, with a dishwasher and brand new refrigerator, has plenty of space, and the eat-in breakfast counter was a nice addition. The laundry room with full size washer and dryer were great for freshening up towels and suits mid week. Also included is a top notch entertainment system and even had speakers outside on the lanai. The pool on the lanai was large and inviting, and the spa hot tub was very relaxing. While I was there with my grilfriends, I couldn't help but think how great this property would be to return to with my family of 5 and some friends. The kids would have a great time with a pool or we could walk or ride bikes to Tigertail Beach to swim in the Gulf and play in the sand. On the way to the beach there are 2 great playgrounds, too, that would be perfect for 2-12 year olds. And don't miss the endangered burrowing owls that nest just at the end of the block on your way to the beach--they are adorable! As if the pool wasn't enough for this backyard, there also is a full size tennis court, basketball hoops, a bocce court and shuffleboard. The backyard, including all the courts are fully lit, and the privacy hedge makes you feel as if you are the only home around. This was my first trip to Marco, but it will not be my last. The people were very friendly and the island was large enough to explore, but small enough that nothing is too far away. We rented a boat one day and were able to see dolphins within 10 minutes of being out on the water!! It was incredible! As was the private beach we found as we navigated the channels. It was truly a tropical paradise. I had a terrific vacation at this property. The new owners have thought of everything you could need and keep the home clean and well maintained. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to my friends and family, and I look forward to returning to this home myself. This home does not disappoint!!!

Amazing spot for a total getaway!

I just got back from a week's stay here and I can't say enough about it! The house was beautifully appointed, clean and so comfortable. After a few hours I felt like I was at home. We used the space for a girls' getaway and it was amazing. Every room was quiet enough so that when others chose to stay up it didn't disturb anyone. (a bonus if you bring kids) The pool was a highlight! I love how the stereo system had speakers that ran throughout the house that you can turn off if you wished. It made relaxing by the pool even better. The bocci and tennis and shuffleboard courts were so much fun to have there as well! The walk to the beach was pretty and a great way to see the neighborhood- we even got to see burrowing owls that live on the street! The people on the island were all incredibly friendly as well, and very helpful with suggesting local places to go. Beall's was great for cheap coverups for hanging by the pool; The Snook Inn is awesome with its reverse happy hour and the sandwiches from Joeys were delicious. I highly recommend renting a pontoon boat and exploring the area as well! We saw a bunch of dolphins on our trip and also anchored on a private beach! All in all, I can't recommend this property enough- these owners have thought of everything!!

Fabulous Home with Great Amenities

I just got back from a great trip to Marco Island with my college girlfriends and we stayed at this unbelievable house. It was our "no kids, no husbands" trip and it was fabulous. The house was awesome!!! First time staying there and we are already planning our trip there for next year! It had all of the amenities we could want. Screened in pool and hot tub, bocce ball (sp?), shuffle board, and the best thing to me was the private tennis court!!!!! Love playing tennis. It was awesome to wake up, take a dip, play tennis, and then dip back in the pool....all within a few feet from our house!!!! Luxury at its best!!!! There were 8 of us and there was plenty of room. Rooms and closets were huge....enough space for 8 ladies and their clothes :), and the beds were comfy! You never have to leave the house if you don't want to. So much to do though so I would definitely venture out. The house has bikes too so you can explore the island, or take a walk to tigertail beach. It is beautiful and very family friendly (snack bar and big playground). I would love to go back with my husband and son sometime too. They would love it! I would recommend having lunch at the Marriott at their beachfront cafe and then sun on the beach, go to Margaritas for some great Mexican food and delicious Margaritas (the Cadillac Margarita is my new fav), CJ's for drinks and dinner (you can watch the sunset from the outside bar), go to the Snook Inn for some local food, drinks and music (they also have a shuttle that will pick you up and drop you off so you don't have to drive), and rent a pontoon boat at the marina for the day. It was awesome...we went to our own private beach and we saw so many dolphins! Wish I was still there...great trip to a fabulous home with a great group of ladies! Already counting the days to next year!!!

perfect family vacation

We stayed here with our three young boys and had a perfect vacation. While the baby was napping, we could play tennis, basketball, and swim in the pool; our boys are very active and were never bored. It's a quick walk to Tigertail playground and beach, which my boys loved. There's also an amazing playground on the other side of the island, just a short drive away. I was surprised that it was such a kid-friendly island. The house is extremely comfortable and located in a residential neighborhood, so it's safe for family walks, bike riding, etc. without too much traffic. We rented a pontoon boat and we were able to see several dolphins swimming near our boat and one manatee. I highly recommend this vacation spot for anyone with children because there's so much to do right at the house. It's safe, comfortable, and clean. It was so nice to travel and have the same comforts of home for me and my family.
